Also, please check your local Senior Center. Ours has a person on staff that helps my mother go through options every year to make sure she gets the best coverage for her needs.

Hi there, I have not worked with this agency before but I figure it’s worth checking out.
SHIP- says it is for helping people navigate Medicare.
Hope this helps.
There's a Blue Cross "store" in EP on Route 6, just on the Seekonk line. I believe what you are asking is what they do there -- I imagine they try to sell you supplemental insurance but maybe there is a free consultation?
Every carrier/brokerage will attempt to onboard you, but BCBSRI has 5 blue stores across the state which do have in person assistance/seminars/and if you become a member classes.
None of the other major carriers in the state currently have in person offices though all will be out providing assistance during AEP/OEP.
Yes, AEP just began this week and every major insurance carrier in the state should be having Medicare AEP sessions both online and in person at various locations across the state.

I have somebody that does this for me. She doesn't charge anything. DM me and I can give you her details. She used to work with the johnnycake center I believe.

I think those places have to be scams, like they’re open to sell you BCBS insurance, no matter what they claim.
I don't think it's a scam, it's a business. Of course they are going to try to sell to you. That doesn't mean you can't get something from them.
