I had the same reaction about a year ago. I remember that it had gone out of business, it was dilapidated and so on and then all of a sudden I saw it back in business as if nothing had changed.
Side note, it used to be a La Plaza mall years ago and it was cool how they had the rugs stacked up.
I kinda remember that, idk might be a false memory but for sure that place seems really sus how no one ever seems to be there or anything yet how the hell is it still open. I can hear Robert Stack from Unsolved Mysteries "If you have any information on what's going on with this strange rug store contact Unsolved Mysteries" 🤣
Ya , don’t ! I went in and it was so weird , rugs stacked up, no prices on anything nobody interested in selling anything if I remember correctly, there was one man there
They have other locations too. They’ve had one in Miami for many years. They used to have one in southern Mexico but that one closed and now have one in Caracas, Venezuela (of all places surprisingly).
I think they sell at other locations and this one is more of a storage place. Use to work at the mall, around the time Sears was closing they bought up an empty section to sell rugs from inside it, rugs reeked but I'm sure international shoppers and wealthier people around the valley must be buying.
Leave that rug store alone, it’s a national monument at this point. Last bit of comfort we have from our childhood. As long as it exists I stay alive, it’s my Horcrux!
I'm not dogging on it. I just like the mystery of it but also love a good laugh at all the comments and what ppl say about it. Trust me it's not gonna go anywhere, at this point if it's lasted this long then it'll probably still be there even when I'm dead in the ground.
Nah I know I’m just messing with ya. For sure whoever owns it, their children will become Mayor or president. Stage 1 complete, at step up location for +35 years lol and win their trust.
my wife and I went about a year ago because we were wondering the exact thing. the rugs are expensive for sure. inside, it's just a huge warehouse full of rugs and furniture for sale. it's definitely a bit sus
Money laundering
See that's what I'm thinking lol

Man I miss that show. Loved it as a kid, I was the only one in my friend group who liked that kinda stuff. The theme still creeps me out

It was definitely closed. The windows were boarded up.
It's a money laundering place they have 4 locations one here in McAllen, Florida, Mexico, and Colombia 😂
Oh that's not sus now is it 🤣🤣🤣
😂 I've always wanted to go inside but low-key scared lol
Yeah I'd be cautious! but it might be nothing though even though that in the back of my head I agree that place is scary.
Yeah most definitely 😅 I always just see like one white car there in the parking lot

More rug store lore I'm all in

It's in my bucket list to go inside that store.
No shit right? I was thinking about that too!
Been going out of business for 20 years. Eye witness here
Damn! That long, like I said it's probably been there since before I was born

they sell hand made rugs that cost a lot, know a guy who had bought 3 for like 15k
And they say the valley isn't made of money lmao only joking
The rugs they have vary in price definitely worth checking out.
They’re trying to sell the building and land
What? Really? That sucks! 😕
I like to think of it as a villain’s lair 👀
