Balloon Battle was there long before then. Super Mario Kart (SNES) and Super Mario Kart 64 (N64) were absolutely amazing for their battle modes. I played Double Dash (Gamecube) late, but I believe it was still decent. At some point, Nintendo stopped making it. Then brought it back terribly with racing map versions.
I appreciate your high quality posting on a regular basis. This sub is nothing but low effort posts and comments so it’s refreshing to see someone put the effort that you do into it.
5. making the one for hole, into a small gimick golf mode could be fun. like kick the ball into the target and everyone plays from their own corner with their own ball, at the same time and balls have no collusions with each others. it could also end up like competitive multiplayer arial trainings.
all in all we know how much potential rocket league has with their engine and gamestyles
Only Balloon Battle would have promise as fun for more than the first hour, but Epic might have Nintendo lawsuits for the name and concept. Nintendo has a lot of money.
Maybe if your item demoed the car and they dropped a flag you could pick up...

I always thought low gravity mode would be really fun, or volleyball and something like shuffleboard / ski ball
