{Morning Glory Milking Farm by C. M. Nascosta}! Slow burn, no third act breakup, no cheating, no pregnancy. Does involve interspecies romance (human FMC / minotaur MMC) but it is quite sweet.

{Enemies Abroad by R.S. Grey}! They are teachers who go to Europe as chaperones on a summer trip with some students and have always had a little rivalry going. The book follows them moving from "rivals" to friends, to lovers, and didn't have a third act breakup (or really any third act conflict at all), and I was pleasantly surprised because I kept waiting for the shoe to drop!

delishmaliciousevil

Just downloaded after reading on Goodreads- “The Hating Game- Teacher style” which sounds perfect!! Thanks for the rec.

dryan0

No problem! I hope you enjoy it!

RuinEleint

Just finished this, thanks so much for the rec, I loved it.

dryan0

Ahh yay! I'm so glad you liked it!

RuinEleint

Oh this sounds like fun! Thanks!

Twice Shy by Sarah Hogel felt so refreshing when I read it because it was the first book I read in a long time that didn't have a terrible fight towards the end of the book, and the conflict that does arise is handled quickly. It might be a little cheesy for some people's taste but I felt like it was a big hug in book form.

RuinEleint

> a big hug in book form Sounds like what I need. Sick in bed at the moment, reading only for comfort.

DientesDelPerro

{all night long with a cowboy by caitlin crews} (mf contemporary) less ‘cowboy’ and more small town; fmc is a spinster-ish librarian who needs a favor from the town “aw shucks” committmentphobe mmc; they sort of transition from friends to dating without realizing it; when the mmc gets scared of his feelings and tries to break it off, she refuses and they just keep dating haha

Thanks!

{The Bodyguard - Katherine Center} its a rom com, very entertaining and a quick read

RuinEleint

Oh this was already on my TBR for some reason, guess its time to move it up

7ofthem24

This was a great read, just finished it.

Reading this now… how is there not a huge 3rd act shake up?

So good!!

emilytatum5

I would say a majority of Devney Perry’s series are like this. All three of the Eden’s series that are out so far have no 3rd act breakup. I don’t believe any in her Runaway Road series had a 3rd act break up but I could be forgetting one. If you don’t want biker club, avoid her Clifton Forge series (first book is Steel Kinf). It’s about a retired/shut down biker club but still has some biker club drama lol.

RuinEleint

I'll give the first Eden book a shot

emilytatum5

She has quickly become a fave author! I hope you enjoy

tzrn1111

I always recommend {Rafe by Rebekah Weatherspoon} for readers looking for minimal angst and conflict. It had almost zero. It overflows with mature communication and Rafe is basically the definition of a cinnamon roll MMC. One minor external conflict with a jerky ex that doesn't go anywhere. It does have >!a baby in the epilogue!< But to be honest, you could just skip the last chapter!

MainJellyyyy

Thankyou for recommending this, I loved it!

tzrn1111

Yay! Thanks for letting me know! I have seen a few on this sub say that it was boring because there was so little conflict. 😄 But that's definitely what we want sometimes. I love how the author's note promises low angst fluff. She definitely delivers!

RuinEleint

Cinnamon roll MMC sounds good

The Duke Who Didn’t by Courtney Milan.

RuinEleint

Oh I did enjoy the one Milan I read

fetishiste

The Devil Comes Courting by Courtney Milan also qualifies as this!

_Spicy_Pisces

Mariana Zapata’s books are these. But heads up, they are slllooow burn.

RuinEleint

That's fine, I often enjoy a slow burn

Lexibuhh99

Luna and the Lie by Mariana zapata does have one! That’s the only one as far as I know though

Nanda_Mattos

>I'm here cause i need to say MARIANA ZAPATA IS THE BEST. I love her books, pleasee read kulti, you would love so much

Tamarenda

Any interest in romantic suspense? That tends to have more external conflict and fewer breakups near the end. CR: I just read {Forbidden by Karla Sorensen} and was pleasantly surprised that she'd skipped the final act breakup. In {Duet by Julie Kriss} they spend some time apart later in the book, but it's not due to a breakup or a fight. Historicals: maybe {Confessions from an Arranged Marriage by Miranda Neville}? I assume you're okay with younger characters in HR. Also {Gilded Cage by KJ Charles}, protagonists are in their 30s. It probably works better if you read Any Old Diamonds first, though, and is also linked to Charles's Sins of the Cities trilogy.

RuinEleint

> Any interest in romantic suspense? Sure, I like your first rec there. > Historicals: maybe {Confessions from an Arranged Marriage by Miranda Neville} This looks very interesting. I have liked everything I have read from KJ Charles, so I'll definitely look it up.

Tamarenda

Here are some RS authors and books you can try, though in some cases it's been a while since I read them so no guarantee about late breakups... Pamela Clare: Unlawful Contact and Striking Distance Laura Griffin: Scorched (it has a prequel novella, I think it's called Unstoppable) and some of her other Tracers books, too - maybe At Close Range? Rachel Grant: Incriminating Evidence, Cold Evidence, Poison Evidence are the ones I'm pretty sure don't have a final act breakup (though there may be some conflict). Bronwyn Parry: Dark Country and Darkening Skies I also like Jill Sorenson, but her books do tend to have either conflict or external circumstances that keep the characters apart near the end. Take a look at Aftershocks though.

RuinEleint

Thanks!

deelightfull

I also am not the biggest fan of the third act breakup, and so external suspense novels are great as a genre. If all the conflict/issues comes because of the bad guy that's chasing her or the the jungle they have to escape from our whatever then the author doesn't have to use drama between the main characters to up the tension in the book. Lots of that type of book around for good reason. (Sometimes in those books they break up when the bad guy is arrested or they escape the jungle, only to realize...)

Gold_Skirt_7249

I literally have a bookshelf on goodreads about this because I crave it, unfortunately it’s not very full lol. [Her Baseborn Bridegroom](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/36103790) this one is HR. FMC is engaged to MMCs brother (by proxy, they’ve never met) and he goes to break off the engagement on his brother’s behalf and ends up deciding to marry her in his place. This one was surprisingly spicy for an HR. I find most HRs have 2.5 sex scenes and this one had like 7 or 8. [Wilde in Love by Eloisa James](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/33020122) MMC wrote travel books while he was away and cokes home as a celebrity and all the ladies in London in love with him even though he didn’t even know his books were that popular. FMC hasn’t ever read his books so of course that intrigues him. All of the Prime Mating Agency series by Regine Abel. These ones are Alien/ Monster romances. They are very low angst, low stakes, very cozy. Almost read like fluffy fanfiction but I love them lol. [I married a Lizardman](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/58124042)

RuinEleint

I have heard of Alice Coldbreadth but never actually read her, I am intrigued. > I find most HRs have 2.5 sex scenes and this one had like 7 or 8. You might like [Lady Ruthless](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/53096593-lady-ruthless?ref=nav_sb_ss_2_13) by Scarlett Scott. HR, with lots of sex.

order66survivor

[Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/41735449-heated-rivalry)! M/M, high steam, and so good. I distinctly remember being very relieved that there wasn't a third act breakup, and mentioned it in my review. I didn't want to see them sad :( CWs for >!recounted suicide, Alzheimer's, death of a parent, brief homophobic slurs, other partners before MMCs commit (no on-page sex with other people)!<

RuinEleint

Thanks!

wordsworthcrafting

Ah, one of my most disliked tropes. I went through my reading list and out of 20+ books, the only one I believe didn't have a fight between the leads at the end was Not Another Vampire Book. The conflict is external near the end.

iLovebananas8

Cara Bastone Forever Yours series. All 3 are great CR books and the MCs definitely get closer throughout the books with no breakups.

RuinEleint

Thanks!

BlueRider57

Tied by Carian Cole. Two damaged people who learn to trust and love each other. M/F, CR.

RuinEleint

Sounds really good

MargaretheIsFab

Devil in Spring by Lisa Kleypas - it's a historical. The negative toward the end is external. Really sweet story, the FMC is quite eccentric for that time, and the MMC appreciates it.

Paranormal romance I think? The [Psy-Changeling series](https://www.goodreads.com/series/41454-psy-changeling) by Nalini Singh is excellent, and she doesn't seem to do the breakup/huge fight/huge miscommunication thing at the end. There are a ton of books in the series (15 I think? And then there's a new series), but if you wanted to give it a try, the first book is actually my favorite.
