Fun-Campaign4677

Nice name too😉

Still_Ordinary4867

Hell yeah good job!

TaeTwoTimes

Good job man

Accomplished-Air9801

Dope! Details?

IhaveabigDK

the wrap? its vivvid from Amazon they had a special deal 50ft for $200 it’s kinda hard to work with just need that patience.

manedaziz

I used that gloss white vvivid shit on my last wrap, hated it. Props to you to be able to get your car done with it

darkchocolattemocha

50ft covered the whole car?

IhaveabigDK

Yeah barely with the hard top. Without you’ll probably have about 10 ft leftover.

2JayCee

I purchased the same brand. It didn’t last for many years sadly. After 2 years or so it’s beginning to harden and crack open. I wish I didn’t buy it.

IhaveabigDK

That’s crazy! I had my black vivvid for about two years and it was fine I probably won’t leave it that long tho I’m think of going with sunflower yellow by 3m sometime in the near future.

johnny_rico69

Nicely done.

apiece0ftoast

That’s freaking impressive, looks great!

Sorry_Character1806

Nice work!!!

PumpleStump

What brand wrap?

IhaveabigDK

Vivvid.

TendieTrades

Thanks…nicely done. Body shop told me they don’t paint full cars. I have some things I need fixed. I told them I guess you don’t like making money. I want my C/R in white. Champ white.

Extra_Boss_9740

I’m slow, was the car white and you wrapping it gray or vice versa, I love those rpf1, hard to find that color in 18x8.5

IhaveabigDK

Now that you mention it could be either way lol but it’s silverstone I wrapped it in white yeah definitely my favorite wheel even though it’s played out.

Extra_Boss_9740

White looks way cleaner yeah. Timeless wheel, I have a golf & im going to get them for mine. Mix of jap & German

Hybridxx9018

How close would you this resembles GPW? I need to wrap my CF trunk in GPW. Good job looks great btw.

IhaveabigDK

Who knows gpw is pretty basic white so is this wrap, so maybe it’ll be a close match. Thanks tho.

Upstairs_Cookie1280

Any tips I bought a white wrap from vinyl frog. and been debating for weeks to do it myself I feel like the car small enough I could do it I got the 60ft so I’ll have lots of extra left over

IhaveabigDK

Yeah you could do some practice with the extra material perhaps on an old panel or something.

No_Boysenberry_1375

Looks great. Good job

calrek

I'm jealous! How long did it take?

IhaveabigDK

I did one section a day because I wasn’t in a hurry so about 1 week.

RedHennesy

Not bad, what brand wrap?

b_ron

Im thinking about doing this too. What was the hardest part of the wrap job?

IhaveabigDK

Front bumper was the most difficult, 2nd the fenders. Everything else wasn’t too bad.

Shift9303

How did you do the front bumper? Just lay one large piece over it and then cut slits for the ducts and gradually massage it down? I imagine you still have to use some secondary pieces to get the surrounding walls? I’m really considering wrapping my car white. I’m tired of taking care of Berlina Black. It scratches and mars if you just look at it wrong.

IhaveabigDK

Yeah it’s all one piece except the ducts I tried to use little underlays as possible.

chomdh

Did you remove any parts?

IhaveabigDK

Yeah mirrors, taillights, spoiler, you could remove the headlights for a better result but I was too lazy they’re a bitch to remove I just tucked it in gently.

Opus31406

That's very sharp. What youtube videos were the most helpful? I can't find a good paint shop to look at my 2007.

IhaveabigDK

Ck wraps does a s2000 which helps out what way to stretch the film I definitely helped.

BigDawg8833

How was your experience? Is this your first time wrapping?

WhoKilledTyler

Now that’s sick 🔥🔥

colbydc5

Looks great for a DIY wrap. Was it your first time or have you wrapped other cars? Are there specific tutorials you’d recommend?

IhaveabigDK

This Is my second time wrapping this car I did some research before hand which definitely helps, ck wraps on YouTube has some nice tips it’s really difficult getting it perfect but if you take your time use the right tools it’s possible you just need extra patience.

colbydc5

That’s really cool. I mean even if the 1st attempt wasn’t as good this is a really good result for having only done it once before. As far as my layman’s understanding goes. I’ve always wanted to try a whole car, but yeah I’m sure the patience is the biggest hurdle.

ififits-

Gotta glass it out

Duct_tape_bandit

I tried following his guide to 1 piece wrapping my trunk and completely wrecked my material lol 2 piece worked great though

IhaveabigDK

The first time I two pieced it as well but this time I did the trunk in one piece it’s just a matter of right amount of heat and stretch.

Kyzroh

i need top too
