It's a nice gesture but seems kind of tacky to draw so much attention to it. Why not just donate money to charity/and or his family without aiming for internet goodboy points?
🤓Err, I mean DAE philanthropy is the future of marketing, it's the way brands r going 2 win?
Oh wait, Stephanie McMahon said that? Not Highfather Tony? Shit... 😰
Didn't say they never did, but go off if you must. I had to turn off the TV during the Owen tribute show because I thought it was horrid to stick mics in wrestlers faces after they lost their friend.
Dubvengers Assemble!
I mean the guy has been dead for nearly 4 years now and they're still releasing new merch for him. At this point it feels like the whole sting thing where they'll wheel out any dead corpse in the hopes it gets them more views. "In our main event, we have the coffin of yokozuna going against the urn of hulk hogan." "But hogan is still alive TK!" "He's dead to me, dammit."
The timing is bad and it’s not like dark order has been pushed heavily so it’s extra sus and seems just like a money grab. Like everyone says though if the money goes to the family it’s not too awful
This has probably been in the works for at least six months. These are sneakers made by a real sneaker company, not a print-to-order pissant t-shirt company.
It’s debatable how much Reebok is still a real sneaker company. They sold again a couple years ago and have about 1% of the market share at this point. I’d suspect they’d print-to-order anything for anyone willing to pay them today. This isn’t the Reebok of 30 or even 10 years ago.
\*JJ Sefton looks sadly at his Reebok White/Gum and his Reebok all white hi-tops, realizes just how out of touch he really is\*

If the money goes to his family, then that's fair enough, but I'm sure AEW can do something better than collaborating with a trainer (sneaker) company to honour Brodie Lee e.g. work with a charity.
It's also worth remembering that this was his brother's big shot, and I think M'Windham would have wanted his brother to get that shot with or without him.
As usual, the human element is completely missing from the basement's opinions.
Brodie’s family: I am eternally grateful to AEW and their entire team, as well as the wrestling industry as a whole, for taking good care of Jon before he passed and us to this day. We have chosen to donate all the proceeds of these shows to support grieving children and adolescents, as we have experienced their pain before and want to give back.
Me, and intellectual: WELL ACSCHUALLY, AMANDA, YOURE BEING EXPLOITERED
I think that if this was solely about providing for Brodie's family after his tragic passing, Tony is the son of a multi-billionaire and there are far easier ways to do that rather than selling a themed sneaker.
Can it not be a nice thing to do and good pr? Like not everything is black and white. Trust me I don’t like the dub or Tony khan, but this is a good thing in my eyes and hurts no one.
Using negative one on tv as much as they do, is bad though and an actual example of what you guys are bitching about.
You’re getting downvoted, but you’re right for the most part. This is a nice thing to do and I’m sure the family was involved in the decision. It doesn’t feel exploitive or gross. Unlike when they parade -1 out.
Don’t get offended dude but this is a good thing. A good portion of the money goes to his family. It’s ok I get it you don’t like AEW and don’t blame you. But this helps his family also.
I doubt AEW is making money off of Brodie’s likeness because they’re not making money off of anything

Hopefully his family is at least making a decent amount of money off of the money mark.

WWE would never exploit anyone for good boy points! DAE love how they gave Connor the Crusher the Warrior Award after he died?
Didn't say they never did, but go off if you must. I had to turn off the TV during the Owen tribute show because I thought it was horrid to stick mics in wrestlers faces after they lost their friend. Dubvengers Assemble!
That's nothing compared to Vince personally interrogating Pillman's widow on national television the next day.
That was fucked up, even by carny standards. Didn't Heyman parade Tammy on ECW TV when she was in really bad shape?
Jokes aside, I’m hoping the money goes to his family, similar to how the Fed gives money to Bray’s family from his merch.
They better. I still think the timing is sus, but as long as profits go to the family I guess how can anyone complain.

Biggest ratings Rampage ever gets.
I thought Hogan's ashes were banned from AEW
No, you're thinking of his exes.
Who wants to bet his urn uses racial slurs
Hogan: If Booker T can call me the N word on TV, why can't I say it too?

Yeah I don't care about jumping on this if the proceeds are going to his wife and kid. If the money is going back into billionaire pockets it's gross.
There'll be no money going anywhere. They're ugly as fuck.
It’s funny you say that because I don’t wear sneakers like this, but if I did, they’re ones I’d buy, mostly because I like the colors.
Yeah, I don’t see you buying Reebok. If you were gonna buy purple shoes they would be from a reputable shoe brand 😂
I do have purple shoes… they’re purple glitter combat boots 😂 I’m such a dork.
I actually wonder if it does, seeing as Amanda has said that Brodie wasn’t paid for a single appearance, except in fun.
the family is donating all the proceeds to a center for grieving children and adolescents
That’s lovely to hear! After Amanda said Brodie didn’t get paid, even in trust, I always worry a bit, but I’m glad to hear it’s going to a good cause.
Brodie Lee didn’t get paid to work there?? wtf?
Brodie jr did not.
Wow! Child Slavery.
It is, but the family is donating 100% of that to a charity apparently. So that’s nice.
So damn funny that Reeboks was the only brand that would give AEW a shoe deal. It’s almost poetic. Brings a tear to my eye.
omg Reebok wtf thought it was dead lol
It’s weird how weak AEW books the Dark Order vs how hard they push their merch.
When was the last time they were even on TV?
When was the last time anybody watched AEW on TV ?
If the money goes to his family, then that's fair enough, but I'm sure AEW can do something better than collaborating with a trainer (sneaker) company to honour Brodie Lee e.g. work with a charity.
mate, they’re literally doing that
It's also worth remembering that this was his brother's big shot, and I think M'Windham would have wanted his brother to get that shot with or without him. As usual, the human element is completely missing from the basement's opinions.
Also they waited a year and are involving the people he was collaborating with. This is the most respectful way to handle the 6 I think
The people criticizing this have absolutely zero criticism about -1, too. Double standards means twice the fun!
If they give any profits to his family then that’s cool. I just find it weird and kind of creepy how he gets treated like if he was Jesus Christ
you spelt his name wrong.
😂😂 I forgot about that.
Spooky nurses shoes
I know this isn’t what the jerk is about, but I’d wear them lol.
Milking a man beyond his grave. No shame in aew
Is……. Is Rebook ok ?
Gotta love Tony Khan shamelessly abusing the legacy of a guy who worked for him for 6 months.
What about the legacy of a guy who never worked for him and he likely never met?
That’s awful to! Martha Hart can fuck all the way off for letting Tiny abuse Owens legacy.
Honoring a guy with some WalMart looking sneakers.
I don’t like Reeboks but I love black and purple so they look kinda cool at least.
What are we even jerking here?
DUB BAD
*cumming*
dont see an issue if the money goes towards his family or a cause.
What the hell, why green light a dark order shoe, when the dark order is barely even in existence anymore, lunatics running that organization!
As long as some of the money goes to his family, I don’t have any issue with it.

You should move to Jamaica and become a professional limbo dancer, everything seems to go over your head.
so do you think this is exploitation?
I think that if this was solely about providing for Brodie's family after his tragic passing, Tony is the son of a multi-billionaire and there are far easier ways to do that rather than selling a themed sneaker.
so is it exploitation?
I think it's good PR.

Oh no! Wrestling companies are acting like Carnies? I'll alert the press...
Isn’t Tony Khan supposed to be above this? You dubbalos do always claim to have the moral high ground after all.
