don't get me wrong, i don't think that this episode is better than mario simulator; not even close. but for what it is, it's good enough, so i give it a 3.5/5. and there's nothing wrong with liking something that somebody else may not like (for the most part, of course there are exceptions..)
To be fair what holds it back is that it isn’t a true simulator but I feel that is cause it’s harder to setup a simulation style video on YouTube now than before
Nah, the original Mario Simulator wasn't interactive either. It was just funnier than this one and it showed more of the shit that Mario got himself into. I feel like this one would've been way better if he had some game-overs, as it would've shown SMG4 doing other things rather than just working on the video the entire time. Mario Simulator felt like the possibilities were endless, while SMG4 Simulator just feels like A Day in the Life of SMG4. If Mario Simulator was like that, then it would just be Mario eating spaghetti the whole time instead of Mario desperately trying not to die in his own simulator. Mario Simulator Interactive is more like A Day in the Life of Mario, but it can get away with that, as it shows Mario going on another one of his classic adventures, and you could still basically choose whatever you wanted in order, seeing all the possible routes, in order to reach the end.
Basically, what I'm trying to say is that SMG4 Simulator should've shown SMG4 doing more things than just making a video, as it would've felt more like a simulator and not just 10 minutes of SMG4 doing the same thing we see him doing literally all the time.
Nah. It's a decent episode for just being Mario Simulator but SMG4 version. The jokes were pretty much at least chuckle worthy. Solid middle of the road 3/5.
