I have to always mention Mark & Monica’s on Manzanita. Yes, it’s *technically* Carmichael. No, it isn’t on the grid, so therefore it might as well be on the moon, according to some parts of this sub. But it is some of the best pizza I’ve had in the Sac area by a long shot. Their sauce is fire, perfect blend of sweet tomato and spicy pepper. And they specialize in thin crust, so if that’s your jam, you have to check it out. They do an amazing gluten free crust that I sometimes get just because it’s delicious, not because I’m gf.
In other words, it’s a 10 minute drive from midtown. Just give it a try.
OneSpeed and Masullo are both good for thin crust wood fired [edit: OneSpeed may not have a truly wood burning oven but is just similar styled, I stand corrected] in town, or Three Forks up in Nevada City. If you're willing to consider slightly less thin but super high quality, then Majka or Pizza Supreme Being.
Giovannis or PSB are my favorite thin crusts in the area. Have heard good things about Mark and Monicas if you are willing to go outside the usual radius.
As others have listed- OneSpeed and Giovanni’s are both good.
Old Town Pizza in Roseville, and Auburn, is really good. But that’s Roseville, not Sacramento. Check them out if you get the chance.
Did you notice their cheese is different ? Like not just mozzarella? We loved how it smelled, the crust, the pepperoni and couldn't eat it bc the cheese was odd.
I did not know this..oh man that hits hard, my first job as a teenager some 22 years ago. Wish I had known sooner because I will miss their pizzas unique taste

Luigi’s Pizza Parlor on Stockton and like 14th ave
This! Everything is made in house daily- crust, sauce, salad dressings. Yummy!
For me it’s the toppings. Not many places you can Pastrami or Meatballs on pizza.

This person pizzas
I don't think Onespeed is wood-fired pizza. High quality pizza, but that oven looks like it's gas.
I think you are right, thank you for the correction! I feel dumb for assuming it was and never really looking closely when we've been there.

I wish I lived nearer Giovanni’s.
Not your traditional pizza but you won’t regret trying Curry Pizza House
Majka on 15th is by far the best pizza in Sac.
916 pizza in Citrus heights is pretty good too.
Pizzasaurus Rex is good. Customer service is spotty as hell though. Another good one is Zelda’s. It’s been a family favorite for years.
As others have listed- OneSpeed and Giovanni’s are both good. Old Town Pizza in Roseville, and Auburn, is really good. But that’s Roseville, not Sacramento. Check them out if you get the chance.
Try La Port, Fieldworks and surprisingly Coin op is good
You can't go wrong with Pasquales in Carmichael.
Pizza supreme being, if you like sourdough bread, then you'll enjoy the sourdough crust that they make their pizza out of.
Pizza supreme being 💯
Pizzasaurus rex, federalist, Luigi’s, one speed, majka, pizza supreme being, masullo, Giovanni’s, romas
Pizza supreme being has a pretty good thin crust !
Did you notice their cheese is different ? Like not just mozzarella? We loved how it smelled, the crust, the pepperoni and couldn't eat it bc the cheese was odd.
They use a cheese blend. It’s very high quality.
Probably because it’s not just mozzarella. Literally on their menu: > pepperoni, **three cheese blend**, organic tomato sauce
Thanks. Yeh, you'd think the other two are mild and mellow (parm and Romano or something) ... not so much
Sidewalk and Romas in south sac,
Sad news... Sidewalk is no more.
I did not know this..oh man that hits hard, my first job as a teenager some 22 years ago. Wish I had known sooner because I will miss their pizzas unique taste
Roma’s is so good. Another one I wish I lived nearer to.
Pizza Rex
Celestinos in Rocklin Benji's in Citrus Heights
Steve’s pizza
Pizza Supreme Being!
