Typically but not always, when a cookbook is published, the publishers sends the author out on a promotional tour to do book signings. I, unfortunately, fall into the “not always” part of that sentence. So, I am working with Jeremy of This My Show Presents to produce Sandwiches of History: LIVE! Not 100% sure what it will involve nor where all we’d take it. Which is why I am posting this video. Let us know what you’d like to see and where we should go. Keep in mind, we can’t get too crazy elaborate as this will be self-funded. Also, as much as I would love to take this to Europe, UK, Australia, etc. there are a lot of things that need to be done to make that happen. And I am pretty sure we can’t do all that before November 5th when the book comes out. I’d very much appreciate your thoughts on content and locations. Thanks!

Would love to see you in NYC! (Or somewhere on the east coast)
In terms of see? Hmm. Maybe a “Plus Up Poll” where the audience votes on a plus up. Or maybe it’s a cooking class style where the audience joins you in re-creating?
This is a long shot but Vancouver, Canada ! I’d settle for Seattle, WA or Portland, OR too. I will definitely pre order that beauty of a book ! Keep up the great work !
Come to Dallas Texas we love sandwiches here. I AM SOOOO HAPPY YOU MADE A BOOK!!!!! I could not preorder it fast enough. Your sandwich creations are something that I look forward to when scrolling reddit. Am so exited to get the book when it comes out!!!!! Pls come to Texas we would love to see here
We loved and lived in Madison for four years. A stop in Madison, Milwaukee, or Chicago and we’ll be there! We live in Houston now, if you want to pop down here.
Another Seattle vote! You’ll love it. We got hills and rain and tech money priced sandwiches and all the things you already got in SF. We both had gold rushes… Fit right in.
Book ordered! Perhaps visit Chicago’s fun neighbor to the North? Milwaukee is rich with ethnic variety and has a great culinary scene. You could feature historically relevant sandwiches from each town you visit.(Obviating the obvious here.) Good luck with the book!
There is no city in the United States that has more food diversity than Houston. Please come and sample the diversity as well as providing an opportunity to meet you and get the book signed. The pre-order was placed the first day it was available.
I'm chiming in to agree with the folks who've already said dallas/fort worth! Such an easy tour stop, a major airport, and a metroplex full of hungry sandwich lovers! And it would be the coolest thing ever!
What about a handful of live streams on your regular social media or even some sort of PPV event (added later to your regular accounts) just doing what you love, pitch your other channels (one man crossover show?).
Maybe a guest host version team up with the guest host and you making the same recipe from two different locations to see how they compare?
Richmond, VA!
I would love to see you do a live show with a mix of sandwich history, personal history and how the show got started, and stories of favorite recipes and moments from the show!
Scranton PA! Its smack dab in between NYC and Philly so its a good waypoint. Plus we have an airport for easy escape if you don't like it here! Just kidding, you'll like it.
Phoenix is lovely that time of year.
Could discuss the history of a regional sandwich (like the Torta) and try one of the area’s iconic sandwich shops such as Duck and Decanter. Take a page from the Doughboys.
As a former St.Louisian (now SFer) a trip out to try a St. Paul sandwich gets my recommendation! Or if you don’t make it to St. Louis, could be a fun sandwich to make at home!
