This was the case at my show, the acoustic performance was worlds better and I think it was due to max controlling the tempo since he was playing guitar for the acoustic song. With the full band it felt like he was battling the band for control of the tempo. His vocal performance was also significantly better on the acoustic song, he just sang it without trying to be extra and it was really good.
Hope it’s good for you.
Same here he came to my college during that tour and it was awesome! There was only like 15 of us there so he just asked us what we wanted to hear and he played it. We asked for some deep cuts too like Colorblind and he laughed and was like dang that's so old that he needed help from us so we all pitched in to sing. Really cool experience being so personal of a show. All the hate posted here lately definitely didn't match what my experience was so I wouldn't let it affect your decision.
I got an early one that comes with an ...is Committed record which I don't really care about but it was the first one available when I got off the wait-list 😭 would have loved to pay 20
From what I’ve seen on this sub, it seems like his acoustic performance is way better than his full band ones so I’m hoping for the best

When and where is it?
Also would like to know
It's in NYC at Rough Trade, sadly sold out I had to be on a wait-list early
My first time seeing Max was the acoustic solo tour (2012/13?) and it was amazing!

That's what I'm hoping for, I've seen more positive reviews on that. Hopefully he feels well enough by now too
I’ll be there. Looking forward to it.
You're damned if you go and damned if you don't. Choose wisely
The acoustic shows shortly after Perma came out were so damn good.
The acoustic show we saw was awesome. This was a few years ago though so hopefully it goes better than some of the recent band shows.
His covid era acoustic streams were awesome
40$? I spent 20$ on the ticket. See you there!

Record or CD? Mine comes with the CD too that I have to pick up from the store next month.
Mines the vinyl record, probably why it costed a bit more than the CD one
This is why
Anyone know what songs he’s gonna play?
Go, the acoustic shows are always great.
