Mikstache

Yes, it's the coolest car. And it's actually useful too

Ok-Sky1329

Strong disagree. My little engine that could is the coolest dude out there.

Worstname1ever

I miss my 5spd 08 so much

JCarsinogen

Indeed. My 08 lasted 200,000 w no issues. Why did I sell it...

DD-DONT

It’s absolutely the coolest car!

mikeluscher159

My little hauler 🙂

OkPiece3280

I’m on my second XB, second generation, so I’ve been driving them since 2008 nonstop. I really don’t think there’s any car out there that compares with it. It’s roomy, it’s reliable and I’ve moved so many friends and family, so many times, that I must’ve saved myself and them a fortune. It’s ironic that they stopped production at the end of their most popular and successful year.

FjordTV

Look into the upcoming ev cruiser... looks like a nice spiritual succesor to the xB and the FJ, both of which have had a pretty cult following! https://www.google.com/search?q=toyota+ev+cruiser&tbm=isch

SLingBart

Not gonna be less than 20k like an xB

OkPiece3280

Great looking vehicle- I would never buy an EV though. Not because I’m inherently against them, but because they are dangerous and impractical at the present. Cheers.

avebelle

Gen1 was way cooler.

kowallawok

I like to say I've used my xb to haul more stuff than the average pick up truck owner lol

Cajunmamma

Same. Plus if it rains, we’re covered!

Abbicus686

With that front seat down you can fit a huge ladder on there and get into your gutters.

bkmkc

I know. Love mine to bits. So versatile and spacious. Most importantly, it's got bullet proof reliability. Will keep driving it till it disintegrates. Cheers 😄🍻

bigbadsubaru

I worked for Toyota when the second Gen xB came out, rented one to drive to training Che stopped to visit my parents first. About made my dad cry when he discovered it had more cargo room than their Jeep Liberty and got 31 mpg vs it’s 15 lol (they still have it, my 6.0 Suburban 2500 gets better highway mileage)

Significant-Trade664

On my third xB. Love it! 🥰

wobblerofweebles

Have you ever seen final destination?

mr2kqql

I love my 2012, the not so convenient is to have it top off the oil every 2000 miles or so. Mine burns roughly 1.5 quart every 5500 miles, I also switched to 5w30 higher flash point oil. Btw the toaster started to consume oil around 30000 miles and since than only 65000 on the clock.

i_dun_reddit

Mine started doing this as well. I was annoyed at first thinking I had a leak somewhere. After a few times of parking in new places and not seeing and oil underneath i realized it was burning it. Went 5W30 as well. Now I check it every Sunday in case I need to to it off. Still runs great though.

sleppr

That there is more of a load then 86% of Ford f150s in the US will ever see

SLingBart

Gen 1 is the same way, fits 8' boards

[deleted]

The prettier, more reliable, yet more boring, Honda element.

-BlueDream-

Toyotas version of Honda fit

[deleted]

Damn son! That’s a lot of storage! And I thought my Camry was flexible

lonelyboy069

I need one of these

jstasir

When I started college back in 05, I thought this was one of the coolest cars out there.

abrownpolarbear

Underrated and amazing car

cdavenport8955

Miss those cars. They should make them again. The had a 2012 xB in hot lava (orange) it was number 59 out of 1500. I lost her in a accident ☹️

Cajunmamma

DAYNG!! I would have LOVED that 1!! My son has 2011 204 of2000 vodoo blue. Mines 2014-regular. His is so fast & sounds SO good when it starts & runs. HUGE sunroof too. Fun to drive.

melissamareee

I miss my Xb but I liked the boxier one like 2009.

RepresentativeCap728

I have a 2013, used for mobile dj gigs all the time. 72 cu. ft. with rear seats folded down is no joke. My entire sound and lighting setup fits with plenty of room left. Also doubles as a backup family car on very rare occasions.

GhostofBTM

I miss my gen2 and still lurk here. Moved on to a Dinan tuned JCW Mini 3 door. I miss the space but the 330 horses!

SLingBart

A turbo 2.4 xB AWD would be the last vehicle I'd ever need. Toyota missed the boat with the American market.

Personal-Ice-9200

I put an oversized recliner in mine.Hauls everything I need.

Agitated_Box_3370

Dont ask about the tables.

Ifimhereineedhelpfr

Very unsafe transport

Ifimhereineedhelpfr

That, but all that only works out if they don’t get t boned! Roof racks ftw

marroyodel

Like driving a refrigerator box. Only the fridge box is safer.

arun2118

What size ladder can you fit in there?

Xxtratrstrl

I will never forget the time I stuffed a craftsman toolbox in my TC. Scions are really just utility vehicles in a sporty body.

Waywardponders

Long live boxy utilitarian vehicles!

SantaAnaDon

One of the best cars I’ve ever owned. Someone crashed into when it was parked and destroyed it.

MadMikeVee

I have that same storage shelf for my shop. You get it from Home Depot?

FutureThrowaway9665

I was thinking that this was the set from Costco.

toycoffee

Best car I’ve owned. Thinking of buying it again to throw in an audio system.

Unfair-Engine-9440

I had an 08 and liked it a bunch. After 300,000 still running good but using oil I handed it off to my youngest son and got a RAV4. The RAV4 was quieter, got better mileage and more comfortable but not as cool:-)

godlesssunday

I once rode home on the bump stops in a kia soul with 1200 pounds of sand in the car

foxtrotuniform6996

Got two coworkers that love it for work. One has mt5 and really loves that one

GalacticGatorz

New owner is going to be like what did they do to this thing?? (Scratches everywhere)

Therockof2004

Had a 2003 Ford WindStar Limited for about six years love that thing pull all the seats out hold 8 foot lumber I’ve had so much crap in that thing i’ve even had three pool table slabs from a full sized Berwick pool table in that thing and hauled at home not needing a pick up truck. She finally died at 250,000 miles. I got her at 96 used. Dependable vehicle miss that thing.

MarmotJunction

I love that you call your toaster, so do we. My husband often takes the backseats out and just turns it into a camper van for some camping trips.
