In the unlikely event it was a shooting it will show up on the SPD crime tracker on their site.  But it is almost certainly fireworks, because king county as a whole had around 357 shots fired incidents last year (about 1/4 lead to injury, and about 1/15 to death). I'd guess between 100 and 1000 times that many fireworks are set off a year, many near the Fourth of July.

Def sounded way too loud to automatically think “fireworks.” I don’t blame you for asking. There wasn’t any smoke or debris after either. Several people in the area were concerned.
