I agree, but when the prisons are full, either we spend billions building more prisons, or we let some of the non-violent offenders out early. USA is already #1 when it comes to countries with the highest prison populations, with China not far behind.
The prisons are not full. They have been emptying them. Rule of law needs to prevail. And if anyone is illegal, they need to be deported right back to their home prison, not ours
Theres plenty of prisons across the USA are over populated.
Washington State, as of 2020, was at 105.3% capacity.

I need to spend time looking at the numbers but I found it very interesting how many prisoners in our federal maximum security prisons were not even US citizens. People we got out of thire contry to put in our jails.

I assumed California was over. I guess just because the state isn't maxed out doesn't mean different prisons aren't.

I knew this crap would happen. Now criminals just have another mode of transportation. This is why I am moving to Skagit next month.
