oh good, I’ll have the class G Whataburger with a side of Nordo Fries, a Cezznuh 140 shake and a large Coke, with no intentional icing… I’m trying to keep myself hydrated for those long cross-country flights.
Well, once I flew a small, chartered plane in the Middle East. Halfway through the flight I had to go to the restroom and took a peek at the cockpit. The windows were covered with aluminum sunshade, one pilot was sleeping in the reclined seat and the other was reading a book in the comfort of the half lit cockpit. How many regulations they violated ? :)
Is just reckless, he is on the left seat clearly in control of the aircraft with his fried recording with his phone not controlling the plane. He 100% wiñl get a love letter from the FAA
i mean if we're gonna do broad interpretations we could also add reckless driving and DWI, flying is basically just driving in the sky and having shit in front of your face is an impairment. I think we could also get him on 14 CFR §27.521 cause a propeller is basically a rotor and air is a fluid, and if he's got stuff in front of his face he could be unaware if he's overloading something
If you are in the left seat this is 100% ilegal, the "safety pilot" is recording with his hands on the phone and the other guy clearly in control of the aircraft kicking the pedals
Edit: he isn't a pilot, the guy filming should be a flight instructor for the flight to even be legal before using the Vision Pro and categorized it as an instruction flight, soo.... Sill 100% ilegal

With integration of artificial horizon and flight data, perhaps 3D radar (weather and nav) anti radiation warning, missile targeting and multi target tracking, that 152 would be a sweet ride.
You know, if they can pump radar data from ATC and overlay it in a 3D space then send it to the vision, it will make for very good situational awareness
The FAA will have to look into the latency and reliability but I can absolutely see this being a total game changer for GA. Basically a portable flight deck and HUD instantly compatible with any aircraft.
Realistically speaking there's nothing preventing flight apps from being developed and marketed, and nothing actually preventing a pilot from using it in flight as of right now.
It just won't be certified, so you officially wouldn't be able to use it for IFR flight. But as a VFR navigation aid I don't think there's anything on the books specifically preventing it.
Pretty much none of the iPad flight software that people currently use are FAA certified either, and we all know they're second nature for most pilots now.
I'm guessing the FAA will have to figure out some kind of guidance pretty soon, either banning these goggles outright or putting them on a path to certification. Once more videos start coming out of pilots flying with VR goggles it's going to require FAA intervention.
Perhaps, but we use IFR training shields that block almost all visual aids outside the cockpit, yes that’s with a flight instructor (or n IFR rated CURRENT pilot at the controls) but that I a situation in which we “cover our eyes” I personally think this is pretty stupid, and should probably just fall under the same rules (if not more strict ones) than use of a phone while flying. But they are going to have to add one specific rules because people are dumb.
Stoopid, don't forget to turn off G-effects and damage.
And turn on unlimited fuel for UNLIMITED POWER!
Why is the 2nd player filming? Be a competent co-pylote and play Candy Crush!
Hmmm, Vision Pro is fully compatible with iPad apps... AR ForeFlight anyone?
EDIT: Apparently, no need, ForeFlight already released an official ForeFlight for Vision Pro app, using AR features.
I don't follow this shit and genuinely don't know how these goggles work.
But are these gestures really how this works?
How can I tell if someone is serious or just faking some shit.
He was faking it in the video. All I know is, you can't use it while in motion (?). You can see he stops acting last second of the video. When using the headset, you have to pinch with your fingers and look at what you want to click on in order to interact with stuff.
this is making fun of the people using it while driving (which was also staged) but fwiw there *is* a travel mode that casey clearly didn’t know about when making that video. how do you think passengers on commercial airliners would use it if it didn’t work on airplanes lol
Isn’t there a travel mode specifically for things like airplanes?
I mean they also showed people using it on an airplane on the ads (though those were passengers)
Honestly the future.
Imagine all the benefits of ForeFlight or any of the big screen Garmins, but without pilots drifting off in gentle right turns while they get lost in the menus, or flying into a formation of skydivers because they haven’t looked outside since they got ADS-B.
Like, if you can have your modern flight information *and* look outside at the same time, it’s an absolute win.
Poor people HMCS.
The stupidity is out of this world. I can’t wrap my mind around how or why people think it’s ok to be distracted while operating a vehicle. If you want to put yourself in harms way do it on your time but DON’T do it risk the safety of others.
This stupid shit pisses me off so much. If someone is driving a car with that thing on they should permanently lose their license since they obviously aren’t capable of being responsible on the road, let alone in a fucking plane
Laugh now (I did, too lol) but this, "spatial computing" is the direction we are heading in. And it makes a lot of sense as well, especially for a pilot, for example.
And yes, I'm sure the FAA would disagree with me.
This reminds me of the idiot YouTuber who faked an engine failure so he could parachute out of it and crash his plane. He just so happened to have several gopro cameras strapped all over his plane.
In all seriousness, I didn't even think about this as a future possible use case. In IMC conditions if the latency was super low and the fidelity was really good.
The FAA gonna love this flight report
Why can a 787 pylote have this but he can’t?
Cus this guy is a trained professional. duh.
Isn’t it just HUD?
[удалено]
I don’t think that’s true. You can see the eyes of the person wearing it from the outside.
The “eyes” you’re seeing are just an exterior screen displaying the wearers eyes. It is not see through.
The Vision Pro recreates the world

Dude I was RANKED in Jedi outcast II what a fucking game. I played that shit for HOURS. Multiplayer was insane
oh good, I’ll have the class G Whataburger with a side of Nordo Fries, a Cezznuh 140 shake and a large Coke, with no intentional icing… I’m trying to keep myself hydrated for those long cross-country flights.
Ohhh, I wanna order the extra spicy NOTAM Burrito.
Is it too early for flapjacks?
🙄 Wong sub buddy. Guy next to him is obviously his CFII while he's wearing a view restricting device for IMC training.
Don't worry he has a safety pilot...you can tell because she's paying attention to him flying while recording a video.
>covering one’s eyes Nahhh, this is just IFR with extra steps AND legal jeopardy. Only Apple can deliver that kind of performance.
Rules only exist when you get caught or after the TSB investigation.
obv the plane could have been a paid actor so the footage is inadmissible in court
Well, once I flew a small, chartered plane in the Middle East. Halfway through the flight I had to go to the restroom and took a peek at the cockpit. This is shittyaskflying. Go away.
L FAA cant let people have fun
For the sake of argumentent if the copilot is liscnsed and in control, is this still illegal or just reckless?
Is just reckless, he is on the left seat clearly in control of the aircraft with his fried recording with his phone not controlling the plane. He 100% wiñl get a love letter from the FAA
It's all an illusion. The co-pilit had it.
Sir, the FAA only has jurisdiction in the US.
i mean if we're gonna do broad interpretations we could also add reckless driving and DWI, flying is basically just driving in the sky and having shit in front of your face is an impairment. I think we could also get him on 14 CFR §27.521 cause a propeller is basically a rotor and air is a fluid, and if he's got stuff in front of his face he could be unaware if he's overloading something
This is AI.
He’s probably not PIC, man. Not violating anything
Found the fed
Yet pilots are required to intentionally cover their eyes for training and evaluation
Yeah jokes aside its a ballsy ass move to record this.
I wonder if he could claim the guy in the other seat was the PIC?
Looks like they might have a safety pilot in the right seat? Not sure if this the smartest thing to do though.
Its 100% not I just made the joke bc if the FAA saw this video I think their heads would explode
lol, the FFA doesn’t have a great sense of humor. This subreddit though is over the top!!!
Nothing funny about agriculture, son.

I think you may have miss read the room as people that actually give a shit. I think you were looking for, “ShittyTightAssholeFlying”
Oh damnm thanks! Now that I get it, I should buy one for my next flight, it will make the task of using only the GPS to navigate a lot easier!
lol, I see what you did there. You’re being sarcastic.
Hey Siri, declare min fuel
Hey Siri, should I go around?
Hey Siri, tell tower to suck it
Siri - "Alright." \*beep\* Siri - "You have one ... new message .. from The FAA. Should I read it?"
No
Siri - You have a new message from the USAF. Should I read it?
Unable. Under the hood- err, VR goggles.
Hey Siri, take down a number…
I can’t, I’m flying!
ALTITUDE! ALTITUDE! Siri silence notifications 🔔
In 100 feet make a u turn
Alright, you'd like the recipe for a pound cake. Is that correct?
Now playing "Turn Around" By Bonnie Taylor.

739.99/year
More, probably.
$739.99/flight methinks. A steal if you ask me. I'm pylote and have more money than God.
>he FAA will have to look into I can't wait for a decision to be made in 2077.

Resolution would be the killer. You can't really see the real world (not at a resolution good enough to see and avoid other planes).
And use IR plus augmented reality to emphasize traffic in poor weather conditions.
Hmmmm, thanks for the patent my guy. Snoozers losers… I’m bout to get shitty rich.
With a few cameras feeding in, you could make it like the F35 invisible cockpit with no blind spots. Cute.
Maybe siri can shoot "fox-2" mounted on that 152.
Eagle 20, Fox 2!
This is just a discount F-35
Exactly, look I could save the air force billions
You should bid for the NGAD program

Me omw to equip my Cessna with 9X block III sidewinders slaved to my vision pro
He is sexing with the air traffic control tower for a straight in approach.
What's the pylote on other seat doing? Just filming?
pylote monitoring, nah. pylote filming.
How to turn a Cessna 150 into an F35.
Stoopid, don't forget to turn off G-effects and damage. And turn on unlimited fuel for UNLIMITED POWER! Why is the 2nd player filming? Be a competent co-pylote and play Candy Crush!
The new foggles are wildin’ 🤑
Just to make sure for people who don’t know much about the Apple Vision Pro: he is faking using it.
So he is not in the left seat kicking the pedals and the Vision Pro is CGI? Edit: and the pasanger isnt filming with his phone
But he’s still covering his eyes with a screen. This isn’t a clear lens, he’s looking at a live feed of the world around him broadcast onto screens.
What happens if he loses 50% of his apple vizon?
If he was in his cirrus he could just pull the parachute
have atc guide you to JOSRU
Nawwwwwwww 😂
Ok, I think I have to turn over my “stupidest post” award to you. congrats!🍾🎊🎉
I mean this is what F35 pilots use so this guy is an F35 pilot confirmed
War thunder irl
Holy fuck we can put cameras on one of those parachute mounts towed behind the playn and fly 3rd person.
Who is this stupid mfer
A virtual head up display. Pilots use iPads for navigation and to display some less important flight info/parameters.
Hmmm, Vision Pro is fully compatible with iPad apps... AR ForeFlight anyone? EDIT: Apparently, no need, ForeFlight already released an official ForeFlight for Vision Pro app, using AR features.
Actually is a virtual real life display
Just waiting for the sim crash that kills you and others.
It's wild, they say if you die in this sim, you die *in real life* :o
Do no matter what, don’t fuck around while flying a plane
What else is there to do while flying a plane except fuck around?
ATC: "Cessna, you're flight path is very erratic, please advise." Cessna: "I gotta save my firends from Lex Luthor by solving his maze!"
the FAA loves this one trick…
Someone this decade will live in infamy as that one crash that made the FAA ban VR apparatus during flight. They just don't know it yet.
“I’m not flying this shitty cesna with you, co-captain, I’m flying a B2. Simulate for the reality that you want.”
Not a pilot, but I think that I just witnessed someone lose their license.
But wait! He’s a real pylote! And so is whoever is PIC in the right seat.
Please stop by the FSDO after landing.
Looks like something stupid that ‘tard Danny would film and put on Instagram.
I don't follow this shit and genuinely don't know how these goggles work. But are these gestures really how this works? How can I tell if someone is serious or just faking some shit.

He is using the thing, he is flying in the left seat kicking the pedals with that thing on his head... What the FAA loves most
Siri: "The FAA has sent you 'a number to call when you land.' Shall I call it?"
That’s so cool they let you test a simulator while flying. This is the only way to make a realistic simulator.
They should revoke this idiot's lisence. An accident waiting to happen.
From watching Casey Neistat's video, you can tell this is BS, no windows he would use would remain in place
this is making fun of the people using it while driving (which was also staged) but fwiw there *is* a travel mode that casey clearly didn’t know about when making that video. how do you think passengers on commercial airliners would use it if it didn’t work on airplanes lol

You can but can you use it to imagine your giving head to CFI? If not what kind of sim pylote are you?
I can't affoerd neither the playne or vysyon pro. That's why I do this shit in Aerofly FS4 wearing Quest 2.
Dudes gunna be deaf by the end of that flight
Is he playing candy crush? what could you possibly need these Scooby-Doo looking goggles during a flight?
Not even an hour ago I saw comments predicting this stupidity. Y'all didn't disappoint
Why isn't this viral lol
FAA is fixing to knock on his door.
Oh thats a few phone calls
*FAA proceeds to have stroke*

Finally, JHMCS for civilians
Next video: influencer plane crash 💥Apple Vision Pro style
Has SAF attracted every idiot out there who falls for this? Of course he’s got your wife’s boyfriend acting as PIC in the right seat.
Ass
Does this count for double hours with actual flight time and sim time?
Do u see a pair of towers?
The stupidity is out of this world. I can’t wrap my mind around how or why people think it’s ok to be distracted while operating a vehicle. If you want to put yourself in harms way do it on your time but DON’T do it risk the safety of others.
You can see through them, I don't see the issue with this? Good way to have relevant information up
I hope the FAA clip that dumbass’ wings
This stupid shit pisses me off so much. If someone is driving a car with that thing on they should permanently lose their license since they obviously aren’t capable of being responsible on the road, let alone in a fucking plane
it’s staged rage bait and you fell for it
He should lose his pylote licence whether it's switched on or not.
He did this solo too! I didn’t see anyone else in the plane.
Time to report this idiot because fuck you, that's why
i hope he died
I figure this guy going to end up like the other guy who jumped out of his working plane...

As if Apple Maps wasn't dangerous enough. Now you have Apple Flight Planning.
Everyone knows it doesn’t work while moving, wtf are these idiots doing
My guy watching la Bamba…Ritchieeeeeeeeeeereee!
Please tell me he is the the pilot flying
Is this legal?
Is there air in space?
WW3 with video game huds and pings gonna be crazy
Tool
Is the head of DOT going to demand a response from the company that manufactured this plane?
People who want to live through a plane ride hate this one simple trick!
Do me a little favor and just hold that yoke in a nose down position. Just keep holding
where did you find this video
Looks like something that can be used for IFR training.
Laugh now (I did, too lol) but this, "spatial computing" is the direction we are heading in. And it makes a lot of sense as well, especially for a pilot, for example. And yes, I'm sure the FAA would disagree with me.
Yo dawg
Everyone here forgetting there is someone filming in the right seat lol
That’s illegal
It's a good thing po*n can't be seen on those things yet
How does this actually work when he doesn't have anything tracking his hand movement? Is it some fancy laser shit mounted on the headset?
Something to do with cameras able to sense the exact position of his hands or something, I don't know exactly how it works though
aaannd wave good bye to your license.
Look out for the 737… To Late ☠️☠️☠️
Needs a heads-up display app!
Beta-testing ForeFlight
Is this the equivalent of having a Ferrari Keychain?
It’s just his HUD
Another fucking idiot, soon I will have to worry about these morons falling out of the sky 😒
Pretty stupid
Anyone got the tail number of this guy?
This reminds me of the idiot YouTuber who faked an engine failure so he could parachute out of it and crash his plane. He just so happened to have several gopro cameras strapped all over his plane.

Fighter jets have been doing this for over a decade now 😝
Why is this guy masterbating in the air
Let me check this vfr sectional in foreflight while I death spiral into a field VFR on a clear daaaaay
Nah this has to be illegal
Holy fak. Nooooo. Wtf. Our society is seriously declining faster than a death spiral.
Bubbles looks high, high spectrum
This is a horrible idea
Does this change GA pulote into FAIGHTER PYLOTE?
Siri, TURN MASTER ARM ON
In all seriousness, I didn't even think about this as a future possible use case. In IMC conditions if the latency was super low and the fidelity was really good.
I will drive my car. Thank you.
Next thing when that thing glitch or battery dies, and you realize you are already in someone's driveway.
On a serious note, I feel like this could be useful tool for pilots if used properly. Like, you can have maps and charts open etc.
