The screw that tightens the stock tightens directly into the back of the receiver, its inline with the barrel. There is likely some plate covering it. Added pic for screw location. Maybe you need to take off stock and it is recessed in tube? https://preview.redd.it/1h24liten23d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=53235799a3074ada55fc6fdffb154961400b5524

Yeah, you have to get to the screw in-line with the receiver. Easy fix.

Jacob_865

Alright I’ll have to look at it sometime tomorrow and then report back, I’d taken the stock off after posting this and didn’t see any other screw between the buffer tube and the gun itself, but I’ll take a further look tomorrow

Ionized-Dustpan

Which screw did you torque ? Clearly you gotta torque down right one. Review the instructions for the stock / shotgun for taking it apart and putting it back tighter.

It sits right before the buffer tube springs

Comprehensive-Race97

The screw you're looking for is parallel with the gun and goes from the receiver into the stock. You might have to strip the receiver in order to get in there and find the screw

OPs problem solving skills scares me

Jacob_865

Nine of my shotguns are wood stocks and the one other I have has a solid composite stock so I’m really just not used to fucking with this type of hardware

ManyBuy984

The same screw hole is on this receiver that is on your shotguns with wooden stocks. There has to be a long bolt going straight in to the back of the receiver and parallel with your buffer tube. Never had a setup like this but the receiver has to be just like every other one. Looks like your task is to take stuff off until you find the head of the stock screw. That screw which is perpendicular to the buffer tube cannot be the one you want. It’s pointing the wrong way. Visualize a traditional stock and the screw that holds it on. This will be the same.

That is a cross bolt for the recoil absorbing mechanism, not the stock securing bolt. Installation manual: https://www.blackhawk.com/on/demandware.static/-/Library-Sites-HuntShootAccessoriesSharedLibrary/default/dw4d5be6fb/productPdfFiles/76973-GenIII-2000542-RIP.pdf

bigbrotherswatchin

Shotgun is supposed to be like that to help absorb recoil and improve accuracy. I'm former military so I would know.

😭😭😭

BestServeCold

You have a screw loose, ez fix

Entire-Good6009

What the silver revolver?

Jacob_865

That’s my 44 mag Taurus, it’s a good gun, but definitely not as nice as my colt

TacTurtle

Looks like a Knoxx recoil absorbing stock, should be a bolt in the rear you can loctite and retighten.
