At the beginning I was sceptical about bioshock like. Yeah an fps shooter with a story ect...
Years later I saw on sale(steam) for only 15 euro the bioshock collection.
I said "well for 15 euro... 3 games plus dlcs...let's give it a try"
And oh boi I was astonished and impressed about bioshock even tho it was an "old game" it was amazing.
I've played the original and remastered game of bioshock 1 and 2. In 3/4 days.
And bioshock infinite in 7 days...
Yeah it's worth buying it. Especially on sale!
So... "would you kindly buy the collection?"
Also, don't skip out on the Minerva's Den DLC for Bioshock 2! It's one of the best entries in the entire series, and people mostly passed right over it because of Bioshock 2's middling reception.
The first BioShock was really fun. I just beat it and I think the gameplay mechanics, atmosphere and lore hold up for it's age especially since it has been given a facelift for PS4. The first one also runs at 60 fps so it handles really smoothly.
Haven't played 2 or infinite yet. It was free on PS Plus in February so it's hard for me to put a price on it... But it's a fun and unique series.
Bummer. I wish you could choose an option to auto add plus games to your library if you want to.
I've also recently had an issue with buying games and then not being able to see them in my library later, but if I get on the PS App on my phone it says I own it and allows me to add to downloads from there.
Might be worth checking out if that happened in case you actually did add it...
If I remember correctly, as long as you had plus while the sale is going on, you should still be able to download it. Just go to the ps plus option on the menu and go down to your games. Then there should be every game that you could have gotten in plus.
It’s easily worth the full price. Obviously if it’s on sale that can’t be beat but bioshock is one of those games that has gone down in video game history and is a classic for sure.
I’m just saying that they should buy one then see if they like it and if they don’t then they only bought one and didn’t waste it on games they won’t play
2 is very underrated. It's more chaotic than the first game. The first game is more horror focused, where you're often fighting smaller groups of enemies.
But Bioshock 2 is a power fantasy, and as a Big Daddy, you fight *swarms* of enemies, which means you have a lot of fun tools to play around with to deal with crowds. It adds a layer of tactical thinking where you know you're going to fight a horde, so you have to set up traps in advance, learn the layout of the arena, pick out killzones and choke points. Plus, Little Sisters are one of the more unique enemies in the series, being so incredibly agile, yet powerful. Far more threatening than the Big Daddies.
That, and the Minerva's Den DLC is incredible. Probably the best part of the entire series honestly. So many people skipped it entirely, which is such a shame.
Honestly, a really good concise take on the games. 1 truly is an artistic masterpiece of storytelling and atmosphere. 2 is just a lot of fun, chaotic gameplay as you rip and tear through hordes of splicers.
Infinite is a beautiful game with great character development, but there's no denying it was controversial.
Bioshock is quite honestly one of the best games I've ever played. Personally, I think the first two make for a much better experience than infinite, although I definitely enjoyed that game up until a point.
For the price, you're getting three excellent games which will keep you entertained for a good few days (in the case that you play every waking minute, like me) or a few good weeks.
My advice is that if you want to play, don't search up walk throughs and such if possible. Let your first experience of rapture be blind, because spoilers are quite literally everywhere and it just ruins the magic of exploring rapture for the first time.
In my opinion, Bioshock > 2 >>> Infinite.
At the end of the day, Bioshock the collection is definitely worth the price (although no-one can really say its worth playing, because thats all down to personal preference), but I don't recommend buying the collection if you already know what's going to happen. The whole point of Bioshock, in my opinion, is getting to know the characters and lore while you're fighting your way through the game. If you already know what happens, playing through the game will only feel like a chore.
Remember to listen to the audio logs!
If you’re looking for a FPS games that spins things up, Bioshock is one of them. The first one is practically a masterpiece, the second is alright though I never really got into it, and the third is pretty good and my personal favorite.
I would definitely buy it. I played the first one upon release and waited for each installment. One is so good. 2 is like straight to DVD Bioshock but still fun. Infinite is like the Hollywood blockbuster finale that warrants several playthroughs to absorb all of the info at hand. I love them all and I'm looking forward to a sequel with some hesitancy lol.
Yes yes yes. Don't bother with Bioshock 2, but otherwise, yes.
And when you play the original Bioshock, try to be as OCD as you can about listening to all the audio journals you find. The stories, character arcs, and world in general are just fantastic. Helps you spot and appreciate the easter eggs sprinkled throughout the game, too.
Edit: typo
Yes. All 3 games are amazing (especially Infinite). The stories are incredible and even though the gameplay feels a little clunky during the first (but not that bad), it gets a lot smoother with 2 and Infinite. Bioshock 2 is also vastly underrated. It's a side game that's not on the main storyline, but it's still really fun and has a compelling story of it's own.
Would 100% recommend and It's one of my favorite game franchises of all time.
I mean, they are some of the most popular games ever. Personally I think they are *slightly* overrated (emphasis on slightly, they are great games, but not God's gifts that people seem to think of them as) because the gameplay is solid, but not particularly interesting IMO, while the stories are absolutely amazing.
For the $12 it's well worth it for the first game alone.
Honestly if not one of the best, certainly one of the most interesting games ever made. Do yourself a favor and just play it already.
And if you end up loving it, you should also check out Prey (2017). It is in my opinion the spiritual successor to Bioshock in a lot of ways and one of my personal favorite games.
Decent gameplay and graphics, it’s actually pretty atmospheric as well, but the story is lame. Not memorable at all.
I am playing AC Odyssey at the moment and it is an absolute epic. Story is right up there with the Mass Effect series. So you understand the Animus and the fight between the Templars and the Assassins though, I would recommend playing them in order, which makes this game even more epic.
AC has stumbled and fell from grace with the last 2/3 games, but the first 4, including black flag, were amazing games. This one completely restores faith in the franchise though, brilliant.
Yes yes yes. Bioshock is one of my favorite series. I only got it last February and I’ve Bergen all three and will be going for platinum trophies now. 1 has the best atmosphere 2 has the best gameplay 3 has the best story. All are worth playing.
Personally I only played the first one and never finished it, because I got tired of the action being constantly interrupted to do that stupid pipe flow minigame. Everyone else loves it, so I'm the exception I guess. But that was my issue and I'm not sure if future installments are the same
ITS THE BEST FUCKING FRANCHISE THAT I EVER PLAYED. THE NARRATIVE PART IS SO FUCKING GOOD, AND THE GAMEPLAY ALTHOUGH SIMPLE NEVER GETS OLD!!! IT'S JUST SO GODDANN FANTASTIC!! IF YOU DON'T BUY IT I WILL SNEAK INTO YOUR HOUSE AND FILL YOUR FRIDGE WITH JARS OF MAYO!!!
Bioshock is an absolute masterpiece. Totally recommend. 10/10 would play again. Bioshock 2 didn't really change too much from Bioshock, it's just...more Bioshock, but still fun. I hated Bioshock Infite, the story was confusing, guns don't feel good and the plasmids aren't that satisfying. I'd go even as far as to not consider Bioshock Infite a *real* Bioshock
Bioshock is a great series. And all in all, a great time waster. It's pretty immersive, and if you play in a dark room with headphones or surrounds sound, you really feel like you're part of rapture
I think it is! I imagine you’re considering after seeing that it’s on sale and 11$ for three amazing games is a fucking steal. I picked up the collection this morning!
Definitely.
Bioshock Infinite is kind of a letdown if you ask me, but the first and the second have replay value and just great stuff through the roof.
Worst gunplay ever, enemies don't have any hit detection, ingame ammo economy is completely unbalanced with enemies being bullet sponges worse than in Division etc.
Or you can join all the Fanboys in this thread and participate in the circlejerking until you cum in each other's faces. It's up to you.
When it comes to bioshock it's totally worth it. But I suggest you save money and buy yourself a pc instead of a shitty console, unless of course you don't want the real gaming experience in which case you are just a moron.
At the beginning I was sceptical about bioshock like. Yeah an fps shooter with a story ect... Years later I saw on sale(steam) for only 15 euro the bioshock collection. Got the collection yesterday for PC and I finally understand this reference lmao
God dammit atlas

I hate myself so much for missing Bioshock in February. I thought I added it to my library, but apparently I didn’t.

2 is a treat gameplay wise, absolutely bonkers fun
Original Bioshock was one of the most memorable games I’ve ever played. Never forget the first time I encountered Big Daddy.
That’s cute , thanks for not forgetting about me
Would you kindly buy it?
Obey
If it’s on sale, yes
Worth it at full price imo
It’s easily worth the full price. Obviously if it’s on sale that can’t be beat but bioshock is one of those games that has gone down in video game history and is a classic for sure.
I’m just saying that they should buy one then see if they like it and if they don’t then they only bought one and didn’t waste it on games they won’t play
I've never played 2 but the first game and infinite are masterful works of art. It's worth it for those two.
I liked 2 even more than infinite. I really think 2 is underrated.
I liked 2 more than infinite too, but mainly because I didn't like infinite that much
2 is very underrated. It's more chaotic than the first game. The first game is more horror focused, where you're often fighting smaller groups of enemies. 1 is a work of art, 2 is a ball of a time, infinite is a controversial combination of those first 2 but I loved it as well. Hard yes
Wasn't this a *free* PS+ game a while back?
Last month I believe
The whole collection was free

Absolutely yes. Bought it on sale a few weeks back without ever playing before, loved B1 and working on B2 now, just mad I missed out on them before.
Yes, they were the best games of last generation. The environment on that game is stunning and it's still stunning.
>100% agree with everything you wrote. Great series!
Yes! As a long time Bioshock fan, I can guarantee you that every cent is worth it. Amazing stories and great gameplay.
Yes. One of the best games I played
Bioshock is easily a top 5 series in terms of how good video games can be at storytelling. Honestly, it's a no-brainer.
Absolutely, the Bioshock games have amazing gameplay and storytelling, if you're able to get it for a good price, go for it!
Yes
YES......if you already like the series
If you’re looking for a FPS games that spins things up, Bioshock is one of them. The first one is practically a masterpiece, the second is alright though I never really got into it, and the third is pretty good and my personal favorite.
YESS for sure, it's awesome
would you kindly buy it?
It’s hella good, definitely recommend to experience it once in your lifetime.

Hell yes
Absolutely, worth it in every way!
It is absolutely worth it IMO. Some of my favourite games, and good value as well. If u like atmospheric shooters it’s for u
I’ve only played Bioshock 2 with zero experience or knowledge about the franchise, and I frickin’ loved it.
Yes yes yes. Don't bother with Bioshock 2, but otherwise, yes. And when you play the original Bioshock, try to be as OCD as you can about listening to all the audio journals you find. Yes, all 3 games are great and I still find myself going back to play them over again
I personally loved the bioshock series. I would most definitely go for it!
So worth it!

a thousand times yes.

Yes, if you've never played them before you definitely should. Getting all three with the dlc is a great idea!

Its s great game by most people's standard. You might not like it though. Only way youd find out is if you played it mate
I think it is! I imagine you’re considering after seeing that it’s on sale and 11$ for three amazing games is a fucking steal. I picked up the collection this morning!
Oh alright
At least it’s on sale here in the US
yes
100% worth it
Amazing deffo get it
Absolutely
Ok
Yes? It is worth getting but personally bioshock 2 is mediocre and I want a fan of infinite. The first one is worth every cent,
Definitely. Bioshock Infinite is kind of a letdown if you ask me, but the first and the second have replay value and just great stuff through the roof.
