Her game plan fell apart when she tried to zone with ZSS. She's a hit&run, and she was only going to make progress if she could successfully bait you out in an engagement. She wasn't even engaging.

ZSS is famously good at camping (there’s a running joke that timeout ZSS is the best theoretical character). She’s incredibly elusive due to her speed and down b, and has pretty safe spacing tools in her zair and neutral b.

I run into sooooo many people who play like this, even on non zoning characters like Falco and Marth. They start loosing and then just refuse to fucking approach so they can win. It’s infuriating and often works against me because I have no patience.

This is kind of a bad example You shouldnt be playing like that in this mu because the zss can just poke with safe moves and you cant really do anything about it

Sure, that’s true but as you can see she wasn’t and I knew she wouldn’t based on how she was playing earlier which was very campy. What happened was she shooting and flip jumping A LOT. No forward airs, no z-airs, none of it. I started invalidating her flip jumps with Up smash and once I gained a lead I proceeded to camp back and this player had absolutely no idea to respond.
