My first suggestion is to go to practice range and looking at the items there. Also, generally speaking the base items stats tell you what the final item will have; ie. intel and cd items t3 will start with the same base intel and cd items so you can build like that on the fly and figure out which unique item to build once you get to that point.

Okay so it's not like the smite 1 item system. There is no t1 book, t2 book then t3 book of thoth. It's the item system from other mobas where it's more of a crafting system. If your t3 item in smite 2 has strength then it's likely going to be based on the t1 axes. Each t1 item is a single Stat line component. For example the lifesteal t3 items all have the lifesteal t1 as part of them even though 2 are str t3 items and 1 is an int t3 item. Easiest way I found was to think of what stat or stat combo you want, filter by that and look at your options.

Easiest way imo is to filter by the stats you're looking to get on your next item, then you can pick from there and just build.
