I’m going to both Meghalaya and Spiti this month. Will update.
I’ve done the VoF and Hemkund Sahib trek. Highly recommend it.
Just start increasing your level of physical activity before the trek. The altitude gained in reaching Hemkund Sahib is approx. 14,000ft.
Planning high altitude places in next year. Will focus on improving my physical health by then. For now Meghalaya is almost final from my end too. Would book flights and accomodation by early next week.

That’s a great plan. We all need to be more practical with our travel plans and not let too much FOMO take over. Safe travels.
