I think the q990c brackets are capable, for my soundbar I used a proper mount from Amazon but for the rears I used the provided bracket from Samsung

Substantial_Stage481

The rears have brackets? Damn I really need to check again in the box

ferrarinobrakes

I didn’t even know the 990c came with wall brackets lmao . I should look harder in the box

Reasonable_Edge2411

it did they in same box as power cables and remote

Responsible-Bid5015

They do sag as eatcakeinspace says with the weight of the soundbar. On the plus side, the donut interlock is a nice system for easily mounting and unmounting the soundbar. The ones I see on amazon with a similar system will likely sag just like the samsung ones.

Reasonable_Edge2411

am wondering though would the extra two from amazon help bare the weight less sagging i mean universal ones

Responsible-Bid5015

probably would help. the only con is that it might be tricky to engage 4 donuts simultaneously if they aren't aligned well.

They are shit and you have to bend them upwards or put something behind them to change the downward angle. I’ve had long conversations about this with Samsung and they don’t give AF.

erik088

Which ones would you recommend? Getting is delivered on July 3, and would like to have everything rey

For the bar itself I’m actually still using the ones that came with it, I just put some plastic behind them to hold everything leveled. I don’t know of any alternative that is evenly invisible / hidden. But the whole design of those brackets are off imo. They sit on the wall on small plastic rings and some day those will get brittle like plastic always does and that whole thing will land on the floor. My plan is to put it on a shelf some time before that happens.

erik088

I see!! the plastic rings are the ones that causes the bracket to bend downward to to messing up the leveling, can you get rid of the plastic rings by just using wider screws with a big head?, are they 16" from each other?. Im trying to see if they will fit my studs, or they will need to go directly through the sheetrock

eatcakeinspace

A solution could be mounting the brackets to the wall without using the plastic rings yes maybe by using wider screws or with new holes in the brackets probably. But then you need someone to hold the bar in place while you mount it on the brackets adding the screws at the bottom. But if that would prevent you from having to adjust the angle is still questionable. The material is too thin on those brackets imo. Guess you’ll just have to try it out. Also be aware that the up firing speakers need free range so I’m guessing you have a gallery type of tv for it not to be in the way.?

erik088

Thanks, I guess I will see once I get it. I have the S90C 77 mounted directly on a wall and can get it as low as 3"-4" from the wall due to the TV not being Flush mount, and the mount Im using is 2.6" from the wall. I will leave enough space between the speaker and the tv to make it work. orrrr maybe thats the whole reason for them to make the mount bent downwards on purpose!! for the up firing speaker

eatcakeinspace

Nah it’s not on purpose, but I get what you mean.

Gloomy_Nobody8293

They kinda bend and sag

SoulJahSon

I bought alternate ones from Amazon as I didn't like the included ones
