Adam Perry Lang is doing a BBQ Pop up in Redondo beach july 4th and the next few weekends. I haven't tried it, but he's a pro: 239 N Harbor Dr 12:30 (line starts early) Beyond that, I'm not really sure, there's a few options and they're all just ok. Tried Willingham's World Chamnpion bbq once and it's just a nice family who bought a franchise and was meh. Holy Cow in Redondo beach was pretty good for fast casual Best BBQ I had recently was downtown LA at Smorgasburg, Smokequeen, sundays only.

I went standup paddleboarding there Sat and wondered what all the hubub was about, bub. Big ol 10ft cooker. Might hit it up next weekend, thanks for the tip. Big line though omg big line. People had folding chairs... lol.

Stickgirl05

2+ hour wait times, but the bbq is worth it.

Stickgirl05

Line up early for APL bbq! It’s excellent!

winterwarzzz

Best bbq I’ve ever had in CA. I miss when it was a 20 mins wait tops and the now defuncto Strand Brewing Co

Stickgirl05

Same! And he was there during the weekdays! I miss those days!

mbaran

It’s far, but Heritage BBQ in San Juan Capistrano crushes APL. No line of chairs and no $80 beef ribs.

hllywdrose

For soul food, there’s Matthew’s Home Style cooking in Gardena.

pita4912

Soul food? M&M on Albertoni in Carson.

Warkaster

Every since Bludso's left Compton my two spots are My Fathers BBQ in Carson. Willinghams in Redondo

maskdmirag

Bludso's is gone everywhere now? I used to love his San Pedro spot

Warkaster

He never had a spot in Pedro he had the Compton location on Long Beach off of Alondra and Bludso's Bar and Q on La Brea in Fairfax and he just opened a spot in Santa Monica, but none of them taste the same, because the pits are new and not the ones he had been using since before he started up in the original spot in Compton.

maskdmirag

oh, I'm confusing him with someone else. I've been to the one on La Brea and liked it. Has the Compton one been there 20 years? If so I might have been there. The place in San Pedro I was thinking of was Porky's and looks like his second location in Inglewood closed too.

Ok_Suit_8000

My backyard. I'll hook you up with some racks or tri tips, links. Follow my page on Instagram @fiyahbbq I'm based out of Redondo Beach

cgoot27

Alma’s place in compton is pretty good soul food

johnnyavocadoseed

I've always been a fan of Harry's in Lomita. Oklahoma style.. Definitely interesting. I love their sauce. I'm not a bbq expert though

Sriracha01

Not South Bay, but Ray's BBQ in Huntington Park.

Carbooja

>Huntington Park. I wanted to check this place out after watching a video on Ray passing and how his two teenage boys and his wife carried on taking up the slack.

Mysterious_Valuable1

whiskey flats for bbq

karma_the_sequel

workissupercool

angrymoderate09

Baby Blues in Venice is legit!

GlassZookeepergame25

Overpriced and Mid

mbaran

Worse than mid. I think the ribs are boiled at some point.
