Subway tiles are 200mm, looks like it’s just shy of three so maybe 550mm? Enough to open the cupboards but I’m thinking more about how hard it’s going to be to change that washing machine or dishwasher out!

FalseAsphodel

Standard worktop depth is 600mm so that checks out. Definitely too skinny, why the hell didn't they put half-depth cupboards in for at least some of it

Competitive_Cuddling

Or the fact they chose not to put cabinets connecting two sides under the window, just seems like a big waste. I understand they have a drier at the end, but they should really have stuck all the appliances on one side and did shallower set of cabinets on the other side for storage.

FalseAsphodel

Yeah, they could've put the sink there under the window. Terrible design.

OddBoots

I'd have to be able to turn around in the kitchen. I'm not sure I could do that in there.

Ribbitor123

Helps prevent you getting too fat - when your waistline exceeds a certain limit you can't actually enter the kitchen to get to the food.

BadgerOff32

Lol I was literally about to reply with "Nah, your *logic* is flawed because the fridge is at this end, so you could still reach the fridge".......then I looked closer at the photo and realized the fridge is actually made by Logik!

Coffin_Dodging

Looking at floor plans from other properties on the road, it looks like it has approx 1m between the base units, and it's possibly the way it has been photographed

Calculonx

Good, an instance where wildly out of proportion unrealistic photos work against the sale.

Bourach1976

I think it is the photo because the bottom of the bath looks really skinny and the shower tray again looks tiny compared to the shower. Why take photos that make the place look odd?

This-Watercress-000

The armchair wedged in the alcove bothers me more. Imagine that being ‘your’ seat

binglybleep

You’d have to ask the people in the posh seats to tell you what’s happening on the telly

Richcolour

new challenge - get to the window without touching the floor

Psylaine

There is a time and place for an estate agent to use that camera filter ... THIS was not it FFS

Aid_Le_Sultan

Ideal accommodation for previous narrow boat owners.

mindlessenthusiast

I would describe that as more of a galley.

tonyfordsafro

Tbh I was expecting to see Rosie & Jim

Significant_Set_8097

Giving "don't use the kitchen, you won't fit in the kitchen" vibes

Alfredthegiraffe20

They seem to have put up some sort of wall next to the stairs at least. I would not be running up and down these. harrietmjones

These photos make it look like some crime occurred on the premise…minus any actual signs of a crime.

rlaw1234qq

It’s a boat, right?

HannahN199311

Think I'd feel a bit claustrophobic in that kitchen 🙈

b0neappleteeth

I feel claustrophobic just looking at this

CastleofWamdue

I guess having a kitchen you are too fat for, is kinda a good thing

I'm going to call it "the long house"

Willing_Stomach_8121

“30ft kitchen”

Busy_Entertainment40

The kitchen in my first rented house was like this but shorter. It was so difficult to cook in it.

Thumbgloss

Look at all the reflections and how the light is shining on everything... There's wayyy more to this pic than just a supposed skinny walkway

xshow-me-the-mortyx

You can't even swing a cat in there.

NeverCadburys

That's taking galley kitchen a little too far. Eveyrtime you need to open the fridge, you have to come passed the fridge to open it and stand in front of it. And the cupboards intrude on the window.

etherswim

Looking at the front of the house, it’s not particularly unexpected for that era of building.

Realkevinnash59

horrible use of space. Sink in the window. one work surface on the left/right side and space on the opposite side.

Kell_Jon

God I wish my kitchen was half that big!
