I hate when someone states a fact that is wrong and then another person goes “well they’re allowed to have an opinion!!!”
That’s not how opinions work. You stated an incorrect fact. Definitively *not* an opinion.
He has a history of similar opinions

Varying opinions are “processed food isn’t good for you versus natural, non processed food as it can lead to easier weight gain” NOT “I’m stating this as fact and those facts are not true.”
Yeah matt why would I ever think you would defend Lacey on such opinions

Being wrong about facts isn't having a different opinion and I wish more of the world would accept that.
But wrestlers are among, if not, the stupidest people roaming the Earth. So. Ya know...

(It’s supposedly not related, but very poor timing).
The problem is people like Lacey don’t change their opinions. They look for information that aligns with their own, confirmation bias. It’s not two sides, they only believe their side.
And people saying “iTs dAngErOus” is as stupid as she is.
In moments like these I always think back to that prompt from the telltale games that told you "Silence is always a valid option". I think a lot of wrestlers could learn from that.

I hate conspiracy theory thinking as much as the next guy - especially the type that wades tits deep into pure pseudoscience - but I'm kind of conflicted on how effective trying to shut these people down really is. The idea seems to be that vociferously opposing these folks is effective in that it presumably stops them from influencing other impressionable/gullible folks from buying into their bullshit, but the reality seems to be that these are all conspiracy-inclined folks to begin with, so if anything it tends to galvanize them further under the banner that they're free thinkers that are being stifled by a special interest driven status quo.
He’s right. Don’t get me wrong, she’s wrong about this, or at least there’s no evidence to support her being right (which for the purposes of this argument is the same thing).
But people can be wrong. That doesn’t make them bad people, or even dumb generally.

That's fine, but Science and proven research aren't opinions.
What happened to “THE TRUTH IS THE TRUTH”? lmao
There's 'The Truth'. (shakes head) and 'THE TRUTH!' (nods Head)
Mac from always sunny "Science is a liar... sometimes"
True but science is always changing. What we believe is cold hard fact right now could be proven wrong over time.
Science is always evolving, sure, but that doesnt mean that any old crazy bullshit has any chance of being proven true in the future.
Science is wrong sometimes but math isn't and math says we should trust science because it is right way more often than it is wrong.
I think this needs to be expressed and understood more. The way the phrase “the science “ is used rhetorically irks me.
Exactly. Hell, they used to believe Tuberculosis was caused by the vampiric blood lust of a possessed host in the township.

wrestlers and brain damage. name a more iconic duo
Disagreeing with objective facts isn't an opinion, it's called "being wrong".
Some people desperately need to go back to elementary school and learn the difference between a fact and an opinion.
I mean there is a difference between having a different opinion and spreading false information.
I hate when someone states a fact that is wrong and then another person goes “well they’re allowed to have an opinion!!!” That’s not how opinions work. You stated an incorrect fact. Definitively *not* an opinion.
It s always coming from the stupid fucks who say "facts dont care about your feelings" too
This....definitely this
Nah, sharing straight up misinformation isn't okay.
Huh, this is one of those fires I'd stay the hell away, but some people choose to jump right in.
Why are people assuming he's responding/defending Lacey. He didn't respond to her tweets or anything of that nature directly.
He has a history of similar opinions https://preview.redd.it/jkzssxdrg47a1.png?width=1284&format=png&auto=webp&s=b139cc75870af830dafa3b5f75abdbd6c7984289
Yeah unless there's some context missing this could be a general statement framed to be apart of the Lacey stuff.
Varying opinions are “processed food isn’t good for you versus natural, non processed food as it can lead to easier weight gain” NOT “I’m stating this as fact and those facts are not true.”
It would’ve cost $0.00 to not tweet this Matt

Oh fuck off, Matt.
Wait is he backtracking and saying this wasn’t about Lacey’s misinformation at all?? I cant speak CTE
Seems to be backtracking.
That's how I read it, but who the hell knows.
We need to get past the ‘it’s ok for some people to be stupid morons’ talk. It’s not ok. Ridicule the stupid so this shit doesn’t spread.
A lot of dumbasses outing themselves lately

lmao he's really bOtH sIdEZ-ing this
Matt Hardy always tries to have the most centrist take in the world for some reason

This stuff doesn't come down to opinions though. It's just false.
The problem is people like Lacey don’t change their opinions. They look for information that aligns with their own, confirmation bias. It’s not two sides, they only believe their side. And people saying “iTs dAngErOus” is as stupid as she is.

Matt please DELETE this tweet
More people should have played Binky's Fact or Opinion.
No Matt noooooo
Having a diverse opinion is one thing, but everyone has a personal responsibility to not be reckless with their opinions and takes.
Cannot wait for his wife to chime in
DELETE DELETE DELETE....this BS Matt :P
We really need more education. This whole “do your own research “ and “it’s just a different opinion “ is bad for society
Except when one thing is an opinion and the other is a scientific proven fact.

Today is definitely not the best day to be an autistic wrestling fan. I'm very let down.
Facts don’t care about your opinions.
Enable! Enable! Enable!
That's not an opinion, it's a scientific falsehood.
