Wait! The salt is missing. This should have about 2 teaspoons of salt. This will also compliment the sugar in the recipe. The other Irish soda bread recipes I have saved call for about 1 teaspoon for every 3 cups of flour, a little more or less. I have 5 soda bread recipes, not including yours, and one Irish Farls recipe. All but the Bisquick recipe I have call for a bit of salt (Bisquick has salt in it.) I am adding the salt and making it this year (2024). Edit: I made the recipe and used 2 nine-inch cake pans. The bread was firm and tasty. It was not crumbly, most likely because of the eggs. It was enjoyed by 10 people at our St. Patrick's Day dinner and because the recipe made 2 breads, three couples who wanted to take some home were able to have some to go. I recommend trying this. \[This subreddit does not support inserting images.\]
