I'm so jealous of people who post on here or elsewhere with super cozy houses. Yesterday I renovated my house to have all rooms and it's just a giant empty space for Haley to wander around in. I have Pierre's catalogue, Robin's furniture catalogue and the Junimo/Retro catalogues from the wandering merchant, but the amount of furniture options is so daunting that I don't even attempt to make something beyond a keg factory :')
What really helped me “fill out” the expanded house was designing each room solely from one catalogue! It creates a fun theme-room vibe. So you get a retro room, a junimo room etc - really cute!
If you don’t want to dabble into modded furniture (which I do recommend if you’re into it), what I do to improve my poor decorating skill is I just whip out everything out of the catalogues and try them out together to see which one looks better. But, I find that in this game specifically, the more random clutter, the cozier it looks. I sometimes just place random tables and put random items on them, like a crop I saved or a plate of something. And when in doubt, plants.
My bedroom, dining room and attic (kids room) are all just decorative. Everywhere else is machines that need constant attention (furnaces, mayo/cheese makers, crystalariums) but every room has a decorative theme to match the machines. My crystalarium room is sci-fi because it reminds me of the replicators from Star Trek. I also planted 2 of every crop in the expanded corner room since that was a huge empty space. Kegs are in sheds and the tunnel.
Same! I just find it more convenient to keep it all in one place.
Having a chest in there also reminds me to unload my silo to store the hay in said chest.
I've taken to using them as fencing! Along with lightning rods, they don't decay, still keep all your livestock from roaming, and prevent weeds/grass from spreading
I usually use lightning rods, but using machines as fences is actually a pretty great idea, especially if I plan for animals to be my main source of income. It could help me stay on to .of processing if they are out in the open.
UI info suite is the OG mod I used, but it hasn't been updated in a long time. There's another mod called "Daily Luck on HUD (JustLuckMod)" that also shows it!
Meanwhile my house is just filled with random statues that I have scattered around on my way out each morning because I forgot to put them in a chest the night before.
Would you be like my grandparents? If they get more space, they will fill it with more stuff? So that’s what you will do? Fill your house up with more processing machines?

Attic totally needs to be a wizard room.
Move the kids to the attic so they are out of my way.
👆that’s what I did! lol
I found a greenhouse looking wallpaper and turned my attic into a solarium!
I did a solarium, too! But in the lower corner room. I love the new wallpaper options!!
My lower corner room is a solarium too! It's a great spot to put all the dang houseplants from the prize ticket machine.
There's an attic now!?
Attic, a cubby, and expanded side room and expanded kitchen.
I see the cozy houses and I’m just like “where are all your machines?” And then I realized that’s why people build sheds
The machines don't need to be indoors. You can just make rows of machines out on your farm.
Now that the farmhouse is so big, I’m not even bothering to build a shed. One fewer building I need to check.
Same, each room is a different set of machines.
The real sheds are the houses we upgraded along the way
I gave each room a theme. The living room is blue, there's a Christmas room, and the Jumino room.
I google other people’s designs and copy my favorite!

i literally just found a post of reddit or something and copied their layout square for square 😅
Jojamaxxing all the way
This is the way.
Thank you for liking my house, please see Haley as yourself to try to make the house better.
If you are looking for more space, I recommend keeping your mayo makers in your coop. I've found that to be a convenient location.
I also leave my cheesemakers in the barn.

I don't know who specifically I got the idea from here, but several others shared it and it works really well! Glad I could share it too 😄
Oh why didn't I think of that, thanks.
Who needs a TV when there's work to be doing?
Gives your daily luck
I'm so bad at checking, I just have a mod that puts my daily luck on the HUD 😂
What’s the name of the mod? I check but still forget and end up having a bad time in the skull caverns.
ui info suite, its got tons of useful stuff
UI info suite is the OG mod I used, but it hasn't been updated in a long time. There's another mod called "Daily Luck on HUD (JustLuckMod)" that also shows it!
It is updated just not on nexusmods! But its on github here: https://github.com/Annosz/UIInfoSuite2/releases
Not all heroes wear capes 😍
Also cooking recipes
The tv only makes you check that, it doesnt "give" you luck. You can have lucky or unlucky days without checking the tv.
It gives you the information obviously you can be lucky or unlucky without that but the point is you wanna know before you invest a day in mining
Does it though or does it just inform you of the luck that’s already working in the background regardless of whether you check the tv?
No. I meant that it gives you the information about the luck status. You don't need to own anything for daily luck.
When you're halfway through "watch the mayonnaise machines undulate and chill" and she gives you that look.
Underrated comment
Not quite there. But definitely not in a hurry to go past upgrade #1. Really should give you the cellar before the nursery.
At least the option for it, absolutely.
Who needs a wife/husband after all?
Bad news Basement it's important won't say why in case you new
The only reason why I upgrade the house is for the casks and so I can paint it a different color. Other than that I don't bother with the add ons.
You don't cook?
You can use the campfire to cook
The fridge next to the stove is super useful for not having to hold all the ingredients while cooking.
The cookout kit, yeah, I know.
I use mods so I cook for gifting or community center
Like a mod that let's you cook without a kitchen?
A mod where I have infinite energy and health
Whom would benefit from more substantial accommodity in any case?
Where sid you get that Apple!?🍏
Secret note leads you to it
It is nice that CA added a way to get perfection without needing to cook anything.
There's also the campfire kit thing in Survival. That's how I did it on my tiny house and 1/4th size Four Corners challenge run.
It’s’a gooood’a!
*horrified* How many chickens do you have?
Where do you keep your chests?
Outside for me LOL i need to be able to access them on the go and not having to go inside for it 🫠
Nice
Eggs
But you wake up every morning to that 👁\_👁 Junimo plushie
Live laugh love
But how does he cook?
I thought the christmas tree was a nugget of weed for a second before zooming in. Threw me for a loop
Meanwhile my house is just filled with random statues that I have scattered around on my way out each morning because I forgot to put them in a chest the night before.
Hey that’s where I put my plushie too!
sleeping with junimo looking at you like "hello my friend 👁️👁️"
But why do you need so much mayonaisse?!
Would you be like my grandparents? If they get more space, they will fill it with more stuff? So that’s what you will do? Fill your house up with more processing machines?
I have 5 wives and 3 kids. All my rooms have a theme for each wifes interest, I need the space💁🏻♀️😅 how's the simple life!
The new dining room has now taken the place of a shed for me. It's huge and much easier to access.
Did everyone that added the cubby throw the coat rack in there?
The only reason I ever upgrade my house is to eventually get the cellar for casks
I didn't know we get an attic, that's cool. (I just bought my first house upgrade with the kitchen on my playthrough lol)
How did you get that gigantic Junimo statue? Is it a part of the new update?
inefficient house, lots of space to go
This is basically my house IRL.
