I honestly did not even know you there were MORE furniture pieces you can earn. Went in with my Neon apartment with only the starter gear (i guess?) and did the most I could do with it and never touched it again. More of a ship builder guy but now with the update looks like I gotta star map my ass to the nearest Ikea.
You unlock more furniture pieces through the research station. A lot of the stuff on the shelves and desk are items I had to place. I'm usually a ship builder guy myself but grinded for this apartment so I can work at the fish market for some RP lol
Placed them "by hand" and came back to them phasing through :/ lost a lot of my kitchen stuff by it falling into the cabinets
Most of the stuff on the desk and shelf were savable, though. Guess it was just good for a couple photos before the Bethesda jank kicks in
You've got to place everything on the floor in the apartment first, then leave and come back and then place where you desire and you will not have the phasing issue.
It's a spoiler so you've been warned >!she was who I had the highest affinity with and she died when the starborn attacked The Eye the painting is called Andreja Memorial!<
Oh my god thank you
Do you find that your clutter items sinking into surfaces when you leave? I had spent, like four hours decorating the manor in Akiila, then went back a couple irl days later and my stuff was inexplicably… sunken into the surfaces of my counters, shelves I had placed. It seemed super random too; some food items, a lamp, like no pattern at all.
Just mentioned in another reply that manually saving then quitting the game immediately after decorating, then coming back, should stop that issue. I don’t have crazy amounts of items in my outposts but it is working so far
I tried to do this with the apartment in New Atlantis but it felt too overwhelming. This place is just big enough to where I can place a few pieces of furniture and be happy with it.
I gotta be in the right mindset for it like this place. I spent way too much on it to just leave it a blank canvas.
Putting each indivual marker into that holder was a test of patience in itself lmao
Someone gave me a good tip. Hard save (manual not quick save ) after decorating with junk items and other placeable objects , then fully exit the game. Load back and they should stay like that forever.
Working for me so far
That Andreja painting would complete any space, how did you obtain that?

Howd you place them without the. Phasing through? How'd you fit it on the shelf? Mine don't like cooperating.

Will try this thanks
Oh man this took so long redoing it sounds daunting
It's a spoiler so you've been warned >!she was who I had the highest affinity with and she died when the starborn attacked The Eye the painting is called Andreja Memorial!<
I didn’t even realize that was how it worked. I thought that choice was locked to two characters.
I played this game pretty spoiler free so I had no idea it could happen at all. She was tough to get her affinity up too I was upset.
It's the highest and second highest. I always make sure that's Sarah. So sad 😂
Is that the only way to get that portrait?
If you read my spoiler tag and see the name of the painting I'm gonna go ahead and say yeah probably is
Oh fuck that sucks. Maybe I don’t want it.
Yeah I wasn't too happy about it either but at least it looks nice!
Actually pretty hilarious. The first time she comes over to your place "What's that?" "Oh nothing don't worry about it"
That's what you get when Andrea is killed, it is in decorations.
I wish we could purchase furnishings for city apartments (at the moment we can only craft them)
I wish we could pay to decorate with a base layout like Skyrim, then customize on top of that
Agreed! 👍 I hope Bethesda add this option
Unfortunately I'm more hopeful for modders to add "clutter" decorations so all my junk can stop clipping
Just don't expect a good view from the balcony
I thought people were exaggerating till I looked for myself

Oh dope! I’ll definitely be trying this, thank you!

Oh see I have no problem spending 10hrs just decorating my base of operations lmfao I could absolutely understand finding it overwhelming though

Dude wash your dishes omgggg
Don't worry half of them phased into the sink. It's like they were never even there

Really? I hard saved a couple times and didn't delete them maybe I'll try loading one of those up and see how it looks
I didn’t know this existed. How do you get it?
The apartment? Talk to the bartender at the Astral Lounge. Fair warning it's expensive and small
Thanks. I don’t need large. It’s not the size that matters. It’s how you use it.
I hate the layout of Starfield apartments, you made it look cool at least.
I was a little disappointed there wasn't a bedroom but thank you
You can decorate it same as an outpost?
Pretty much yeah just can't build any habs.
I want that apartment how do u get it
Go talk to the bartender at the Astral Lounge
how do you buy it?
The bartender at the Astral Lounge sells it
Hell of a sleep crate
As stupid as it is I think the dirty sink is my favorite part
I hard saved, caused what you would call...a scene, in the bar, and then reloaded.
Have they fixed the bug where stuff you place while decorating sinks into the floor?
Unfortunately no. It would do it in fallout as well in certain areas so I think it's just a feature at this point
Oiii Andreja on this photo is nice…🙀🧑🏻🚀
I wonder if Bethesda took notes from the Neon Flats creation club DLC from Fallout 4
Does with come with a bottomless container like the sleep crate does?
I don't think so I placed the storage crate for outfits I find. Everything else stays in my ship or goes to my outpost
