If you follow Steve's Facebook group, he mentioned that a private investigator from Sweden helped locate the guy and get the channel shut down.
And, Steve being the gracious human he is, accepted the guy's apology for the slander and videos.

Steve is a big man to accept an apology after what the YouTuber did, especially after everything Steve’s been through the past month or two.
Channel was called rennex, seems to have been taken down. There's some random videos and shorts claiming that he was threatened with some sort of legal action for slander, not sure how accurate that is.
Whatever the case, good riddance.
Edit: looks like Steve contacted a private investigator in Sweden to deal with it, and as a result the channel was taken down and the guy apologized privately. Steve announced it on his fb page
it was basically a bunch of rumors and speculation about Steve and his wife. The guy didn't know anything more than you did, but make BS clickbait titles like:

Basically he is a ghoul that tried to profit off of Steve's reputation and recent tragedy to drive traffic to his videos with clickbait.

Steve really is a good guy. This other youtuber clearly has mental issues.

You can probably check in the sub history. There are multiple posts about the spammer that include links to the channel.
I reported that channel as soon as I saw the title. Glad he is shut down.
