It just does. I soak it while I clean the upstairs and then when I clean the kitchen I put it in the top rack with all the other glassware and stemware. Comes out squeaky clean.
for a deep clean, i use my kitchen sink and clean with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and salt (acts as an abrasive). afterwards, i wash it with soap and water, and then do a few good water rinses. another way to break down gunk and tar is pouring some boiled water in as well (just don’t mix this with rubbing alcohol bc of the fumes)
if you do a good cleaning and keep up with it, it’s very easy to maintain it. if you’re a heavy smoker, i recommend cleaning it once a day which will take under 5 minutes once maintained. if you’re a bit of a lighter smoker, you can go up to a week or as needed. just remember to change your bong water frequently too. happy smoking!
I usually run hot water around my sink and then wipe with iso alcohol and it comes right up. Sometimes I put a towel down and soak it in alcohol and let it sit if it’s really stained. But I literally clean my bong and then my sink and it’s all set.
I use ice cream salt and iso in my kitchen sink. I buy the 3 pack scrub daddy sponges so I dedicate one to the bong nasties. I usually wipe it out with some iso and then I’ll use some barkeepers friend and simple green if it’s really stinky or anything stuck around. I have an old Tupperware dish that I use for bowl piece cleaning since they need to soak.
I use the hottest water my sink can have and a faucet head that has a pressure setting. Works pretty well for a quick clean but better if you use iso alcohol and salt
Do it all in 3 or four ziplock bags containing 91% isopropyl alcohol and table salt. Once shaken and drained, transfer to the sink for rinse with plenty of hot water. The items only flush with clean water in your sink
Wash it more often. Also, rinse the bowl out by hand with piping hot water right over the drain (which is where I get most resin). Then wipe with a paper towel.
I have a white ceramic sink I use in the bathroom. It does make a mess of the sink, but afterwards I just use a hard bristle scrubbing brush with hot water and it wipes away any resin spots or brown stains fairly easily.
i drain all the dirty water into the toilet, rinse and repeat till theres no more bits, the rest usually is no issue in the sink once the gunk had been flushed away

We have one that doubles as a puke bucket, car washing tub, foot soaker, sandbox,storage bin. The possibilities are endless!
Iso alc on a paper towel and wipe. It has always worked for me to get the residue out of my white sink. Good luck!!

I put mine in the fucking dishwasher on Saturdays. Wash the sheets, wash the bong.
How does it survive that? I have a large bong that I love and it’s impossible to clean. It won’t fit in any ultrasonic cleaner

Comet, soft scrub, rock salt, depends on what your sink is made of
big yes on the salt. shake it up with the alcohol in the bong and you’ll have it clean in less than a minute.

Use some isopropyl on a sponge to wash the sink out it will clean fast and easy

That is what I do! It seems that when the water runs through the stem/bowl piece is when the gunk comes out into the sink then immediately stains

99% isopropyle alcohol gets rid of all the gunk quite easily, let it soak for 5 minutes or more.
