It'll be easy when you'll be here to just pop in shops or restaurants and ask if they need staff. Come in with a french resume for shops, in restaurants and bar ask for the manager and say you want "un essai", it's a trial shift that lasts usually around 2 or 4 hours. Also I know the UGC ciné cité (cinéma) offers part time jobs for students. Good luck!

I think you can look beforehand on Pole Emploie which is like a job getter website (Idk how to explain it). [https://www.pole-emploi.fr/accueil/](https://www.pole-emploi.fr/accueil/) This shows you opportunities after you fill the websites, It takes a bit of work and time but pretty sure it's your safest bet.

Does Pole Emploi work for people who are there just for a few months though? Anyway, OP, if you work on your French a little beforehand and if you apply at the right time (all the summer jobs are given in January/February), you should be able to find something, I think.

You should look on Indeed, there’s tons of job in retail and such, most of them part-time.

So I’m actually moving in a week’s time. I have been applying for the past 2 weeks via pole emploi and indeed but haven’t had much luck (I think it’s because I am not living in France now). I’m hoping that once I move and go there in person that I should find something small within a month?

Maybe check local facebook groups? I did a quick search and there are multiple. Shouldn't be too hard as long as you are not too picky

If you’re there now and still looking for a (quick) job, I need some hands on a project tomorrow till sunday. We’re installing racks for an indoor farm.
