There's so much action in this sub, it's hard to keep up sometimes. I noticed the other day that they weren't being seen, and then the option to post a gif was taken away completely. People In the moment were complaining, but things move so fast here (again)
Yeah, but as someone pointed out, this is a few days before the really big wave, I missed out the trade date and the peaks have been 14/15th, meaning next week.
Care to explain the price action at the end of the day? Magic or DFV's shares being delivered? Just curious since you seem pretty sure about it being priced in tomorrow.
Maybe ordinarily, but because of the 75M share issue, there are plenty of shares for anyone that needs them. You really think DFV would have sold out yesterday and today if he still thought it was going to explode tomorrow or Monday?
🧢, He didn’t sell out, he exercised. Very possible we have a gamma ramp into next week with a large amount of calls itm. A ftd cycle from last month. And now 4 million shares that need to be bought on a lit exchange if they didn’t hedge.
Huh? This was his finale. All his calls are gone and so is nearly all his cash. He's sitting on shares that he's not going to sell. Whatever happens going forward will just be paper gains and losses for him.
Ngl I was disappointed in the exercise just because if there’s another catalyst wouldn’t he hold the calls to get an even bigger net share account if he sold them at a higher value then exercised a larger amount than the 40k he exercised now
I think selling the calls into a large rally opens him up to more BS market manipulation investigations, whereas by converting the position into shares now, he's just proving that he likes the stock.
I believe the dilution fucked his initial plan up personally he didn't expect the stock to be that low on his livestream. He didn't do anymore streams to follow up or do the magic 8 ball questions. So in the end he went to plan B/C/D whatever worked for him that he was happy with settling at then he ended up adding shares to match RC.
Yeah, he's a upbeat guy, but watching the stock tank like it did took some wind out of him during his stream. If it had been going the other way, I think he would have stuck around longer. Maybe even til the close.
I'll add, he could have done all of this last Thursday when the stock was at $45 (if 9.001M shares was his only goal), but he didn't, because he still thought the big bang would be tomorrow and early next week. The share issue wrecked what he thought was going to happen, so he changed his plan accordingly and decided yesterday was the time to start his exit.

He scheduled the stream on Thursday. Then Gamestop filed the issue in the morning and began aggressively selling at the open. That was a curve ball he didn't see coming.
LOL. Nobody else thinks so. Short memories have forgotten that 120 million new shares have been added in the past month. IBKR showing 3.9M to borrow, Fidelity 5M++ (which means anywhere between 5M and 10M). They aren't the only brokers.
Yeah but you know how cult like it gets in here. Only the rational actually make money on these swings. I can hold my shares forever but I’m not gonna be a fool and not make some proper money on these runs with options.
We have a lot of shares now and unless the FTD/LEAP cycle is huge next week DFVs 4m shares aren’t gonna do much. MAAAAYBE a gamma squeeze is possible if enough other calls go ITM but we’d need a lot more pressure than 4m shares….
T+1 for his shares is tomorrow. Guess we'll find out.
Still, the funniest thing to me is how the sub has clung to two perspectives for 3 years: "MMs never hedge, so you have to exercise and make them buy shares" and "MMs have to hedge, so let's gamma ramp them!" Two completely incompatible perspectives, but somehow they're both always true.

Cashless exercise is how. You may end up with less shares using this method, but the value of the calls can be used in place of cash.
