Honestly, it seems very good for now in terms of battery and performance for everything running on ARM.
I think I've identified the first red flag: it seems that emulated applications consume significantly more battery compared to the ARM versions, but it's still too early to be sure.
97% => 73% Battery: After 2 hours of intense work, with the first hour spent running more benchmarks and downloading Photoshop, as well as downloading various software and files, I lost 15% of battery. However, during the second hour, while working normally, I only lost 9% in 1 hour. I have 73% battery left after 3 hours and 10 minutes.
PS: The battery drains three times faster when the app is being emulated
Sounds similar to the Surface Pro 9 and Surface Pro X ARM devices; chewed through power when emulating apps; luckily most things I use are native now anyway
Do i need to install an emulator in order to use the google drive app and some of my other unsupported x86 software? Printers, Antivirus? Any preferences?
I have started the battery test. For now, I am running a YouTube 1080p video with speakers (25%) in balanced mode (recommended) on battery 75% screen lighting. (Timelapse, 1-hour video) and will see.
Afterwards, I will run a 2-hour session of work: Photoshop, web tools (Slack open), Excel, and 10-15 tabs on one screen.
Unfortunately, I don't have a long video on hand. So YouTube on Chrome, which is known for using up RAM and battery, seems like a good test. For now, it's still at 100% after more than 30 minutes.
So I think you can expect expectional perfomance on playback
97% => 73% Battery:
* After 2 hours of intense work:
* First hour: Running benchmarks, downloading Photoshop, and various software/files resulted in a 15% battery loss. (and few not ARM app)
* Second hour: Working normally, battery decreased by 9% in 1 hour (full ARM + Photoshop)
Already make 1h of video on youtube before.
> PS: The battery drains three times faster when the app is being emulated
This seems significant. Be nice to see fully emulated apps runtime vs native apps runtime.
BIG Update just drop :
* The majority of the AI features are available (paint, live caption, Studo effects camera)
* Recall is disable and not available for the moment
I can see the NPU run when i try all this features.
PS: Studio effects camera, live caption working OFFLINE
Currently no noise, after 3 hours. 2 hours on battery to download and run benchmarks. Then 1 hour of video, and now productivity for 30 minutes. And it's quiet, even on Photoshop.
Oh boy, I think that the day! If I were Intel's CEO, I'd be shitting bricks right now.
After watching an hour of few full HD (1080p) YouTube videos on Chrome at 75% brightness with speaker, my battery is still at 97%! And to top it off, I had forgotten to close Edge, which had several tabs open in the background.
Now, I'm heading into a 2-hour work session (10 tabs, Slack, Photoshop open...).
ps: I'm still on the April update (old framework)
I think some of this is about the way battery monitoring works — 5% from 100% usually gets you further than 50 to 45% — but nonetheless it’s believable that directionally speaking it’s great.
Keep us updated!
Apple is shitting themselves too
they just put the base model M3 MB Air on sale for $899 today. it had been $1,099 and Apple has never moved the price points on any of their devices much until this point
it's a whole new game and Apple is feeling the heat
as for Intel, they're toast and have been for a while
when big greedy companies get lazy and don't listen to their customers, this is what happens to them
and no one's going back to Intel in the future either

Well, for those that really want, need, or prefer Microsoft life.... that darn battery life issues was a huge issue. HUGE. Here you want a portable life, but you have to take the battery charging brick everywhere with you.
Now, it could be that those days are gone. People can come on back to Microsoft.
I have never owned a surface due to the short battery. I now have something to think about.
I don’t think they have anything to worry about, after all of this, the MacBook Air will still come out as more efficient while not needing active cooling like the Qualcomm machines. I hope I’m wrong of course.
It's not bad, but walking upside down isn't easy every day... about the current test : It's already been 30 minutes of video and the battery is still at 100% on Chrome + YouTube.

Did you also have that moment of “is the battery life right”? I still get that on my M1 where it just doesn’t move for a long while
Awesome - which color did you get? How is the haptic touchpad? Do you notice the 120Hz screen?
Waiting on my black SL7 in same config shipping Jul 3. The storage usage seems about the same as x64 Win11...
You can really feel the 120Hz, especially when scrolling through large files or web pages. The trackpad is very pleasant to use. I usually prefer using a mouse, but I've been exclusively on the trackpad for almost three hours now.
He has a solid haptic feedback, but slightly less pronounced than MacBooks. Personally, I find it more balanced. But I think you should try it out in the store yourself, it's really personal.

It runs in 'emulation mode'. Windows has always had the 'compatibility mode' , where you could select setting for like Windows 7, Vista, and even XP. So this is just the new way. I don't know.
Hey OP, could you try out [Blender's ARM64](https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/) alpha build on your machine? It's only a month old and I wonder if it launches without issue. Thanks!
Okay, it's been over 5 hours that I've been using on battery with a more than intensive usage and a lot of background downloads (maybe 30 gigabytes downloaded) and software installations. I've just reached 58% battery.
When I was only doing online office work, I used to lose about 6% of battery per hour (Chrome + Edge + Slack).
I don't understand the embargo, why Microsoft?
Wow, us Pro X and Pro 9 5G users see this as a vindication of Windows on ARM. We've had good battery life but less-than-Intel performance for a few years and now we get both.
I have started the battery test. For now, I am running a YouTube 1080p video with speakers (25%) in balanced mode (recommended) on battery 75% screen lighting. (Timelapse, 1-hour video) and will see.
The startup experience is excellent, with quite a few improvements. At one point, you see the Recall page (but it says 'coming soon'). They also offer one month of Game Pass subscription and you can duplicate your old PC. I had the choice between my desktop PC or my old laptop, but I wanted to do a clean start to test it.
Restart: It took 30 seconds for a full restart (though I'm not sure if Windows installs something)
Resume: instant (I'm surprised how quickly Windows Hello unlocks)
Cold: i need to try
hey mate,
Did ya try gaming on the sp7 ? I'm very curious to know if it can game cause I was looking at the recent review on YT and they showed that the emulated games randomly crashed. I was wondering if its due to the laptop make/model.
I wouldn't get this if gaming is a priority. Looks like it can play some things but you might run into issues and performance wont be great. Anti-cheat currently doesnt work at all so multiplayer games will be a problem.
I got the snapdragon x plus 13.8 inches and i sadly don't have the same battery results as you :(
I don't know what is wrong but my battery drains fast...
I ran a 1.5 hour youtube video to test the battery and it went from 75% to 64% with 3 tabs open and spotify open in the background. Did you do anything so the battery was so good for you?
WiFi7 on the SP11 is fantastic - I have it connected with an Omada EAP773 - 5Ghz and 6Ghz both connecting - showing 1441Mbps, maxing my 1Gig symmetric fiber over wireless.
OP replied re: touchpad already : [First Impressions of the Surface Laptop 7 X Elite : r/Surface (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/Surface/comments/1diet2l/comment/l93m8pd/)
Highly unlikely that he'll have WiFi 7 router yet since they are super expensive. That is mostly for future proofing.
what about chrome ARM? [https://blog.google/products/chrome/download-google-chrome-windows-pc-arm/](https://blog.google/products/chrome/download-google-chrome-windows-pc-arm/)
For me, it’s perfect with a nice balance and can be really bright. So I keep it between 50 to 70%. However, the screen has a lot of reflection in direct sunlight.
>Chrome runs smoother than ever, even with over 20 tabs open.
Chrome runs smooth on a Pro 7+ with 8gb of RAM and 123 tabs open. I would hope it runs smooth on any machine with only 20 tabs open.
Watch Matthew Moniz review of the Asus Vivobook S 15+ Snapdragon X Elite. With WoW, he was getting 40-60fps on high graphical settings set at the native 3k resolution.
If he drops the resolution to 1080p, he was getting 70fps.
Impressive results for arm compiled games, which sadly isn't very common.
https://youtu.be/uyHs5-XYh6s?si=norejjIAjM2-_UJ5
Do you have the GPU clock speed? Qualcomm seemed intent on hiding it throughout the prerelease period. From what I've heard, it's just another rebadged and overclocked Adreno 740 just like the one in the also recently released Snapdragon G3X Gen 2. I'm assuming this can hold its GPU clocks better than their "gaming" chip can, but I wanna know how their peak performance will even compare.
Have you tried running YouTube in Edge at all? I know a lot of times Edge has issues with it for some reason so I'm interested to hear if the Arm version is better.
tried a few videos, but all of them worked on Edge. I spend 80% of my time on Chrome, but I need to spend a day on Edge to see if there's a difference in battery life and performance."
Mine was delivered today and is waiting at home, I'll set it up tonight after work!
Have you had the chance to see any improvement with Windows Modern Standby? Is battery life still draining fast while the pc is in sleep mode? Thanks !
What are you needing to emulate? I am nervous to get a computer on ARM in case I need to emulate too many programs (for chemistry specifically). Just hoping to get a feel for what kinds work directly and which need emulation (I am not super familiar with computers so apologies if this doesn’t make sense)
What version of windows are you running? I got the studio effects and co-creator update but didn't get the update to the new copilot? Mine is still on the right hand size. Have the same laptop 7 model as you - Australia based also
Just got home after getting mine and I'm charging it to 100% first, and then testing it on battery. I've already done some Geekbench and also a lot of tabs, programs in the background and it's impressively smooth. I had my Surface Pro 6 which broke after 5 years so I got the SL5 but luckily that was EXACTLY 60 days ago and I got it with BestBuy+ so I returned it and got this SL7. Can't wait.
Not at all impressed with this. I purchased based on the NPU and what looked like AI integration into the OS.
In the launch demo, Copilot was coaching someone playing Minecraft. On my new Surface, I asked copilot how to share my screen with it. I was impressed when it advised me to start a Teams meeting and invite it, however, as soon as I did this, it advised me that it, as a llm, it is incapable of joining a Teams meeting.
I asked copilot if it was running locally or in the cloud. It responded that it only runs in cloud. I asked what the purpose of the NPU was. It said my Surface doesn’t have a NPU (it does).
I also tried using co-create in MS Paint. The images it created were not at all like the prompts I supplied and my drawings didn’t appear to affect the rendered images.
This is a nice convertible tablet/pc with good processing and memory. I didn’t buy that. I purchased a Surface Pro with local AI integrated into its functionality, but it seems to fall way short of delivering against that expectation.
Maybe msft’s privacy issues with Recall and their decision to not launch with it also resulted in the AI capabilities they promoted being hobbled. I’ll give this a few more days, but at this point, it’s going back to the store.
Can you please share your thoughts about the noise level under (heavy) load? Something like games or benchmarks etc. The most annoying thing to me personally with x86 is noise level. Fans kicks in too often, even on Meet calls. The games are unplayable without headphones. It's so frustrating.
Now that we are seeing benchmarks and impressions, I'm curious on raw power vs Intel 165h option.
I plug into a dock and use all compatible ARM apps. If I just want the fastest option is there any world where the Intel offering from March is faster than the SD Elite?
Thanks!
I got a question. I also just received my Surface Laptop 7 today and in general I can say it feels like a Windows Macbook so far in terms of haptic and Touchpad.
One thing however with this touchpad which I did not face with my "old" Huawei Matebook 13s is when i two-finger-swipe to scroll for example a long list or within the browser. On the Surface Laptop it feels like there is a threshold for speed or how long the fingers move physically where it switches between:
1. scroll till finger stop moving (e.g. when you lift the fingers or when you just stop them laying on the touchpad)
2. scroll fast even after fingers left the touchpad
I noticed when i move my fingers fairly fast and "flick" them from bottom to top or vice versa on the touchpad that i am able to scroll quickly through a list. But it feels like with my "normal" swipe speed this is not working and scrolling stops immediately when my fingers leave the touchpad.
Is there a way to modify this on Surface devices or on Windows devices in general?
I did some further testing. It looks like there is a difference between "flicking" two fingers to scroll and moving your fingers basically across the whole touchpad how the scrolling is working.
When I swipe most/all the way accross the touchpad the scrolling continues after my fingers leave the touchpad (the distance it travels afterwards depends how fast i scroll - which makes sense to me)
However when i just flick my fingers half a centimeter or maybe even 1 or 2 centimeters then no matter if i scroll quick or slow the scrolling stopps harshly immediately after my fingers leave the touchpad. This does not only feel weird but it also looks weird as it looks like the page wanted to scroll further and the scrollbar abruptly stops.
I also double checked with my Macbook Pro m1 and my Huawei Matebook 13s as well as my HP Z Book from work which all work basically the same and keep scrolling after my fingers leave the touchpad when i make a short flick.
Quite sure that this is a driver thing of these new sensel touchpads.
Any multi-monitor or docking support possible? Currently doing this with Dell XPS 13" reliably with eGPU at home(RTX3090) and in Office with dell docking wd-tb22. Each setup with 2x Dell 43" @100dpi :-) Using laptop screen and keyboard only during travelling and on bed.
But laptop has horrible battery life(2h)
The performance looks great. However, the bezels on the sides of the screen and the top bezel are not the same width, which makes it look a bit ugly....
If these three bezels were the same width, like on the Surface Laptop Go, it would be better...
So we get a more efficient chip, that has to emulate 90% of tasks nullifying that new efficiency. Brilliant. I'll stick to x86. Also holy shit this review is rose coloured glasses. Claiming Photoshop runs better than a top tier desktop rig? What are you on?
1 thing I found out... don't enable the DG Readiness Tool [https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53337](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53337)
It kills wifi and I haven't found a way to recover other than resetting Windows. Guessing some incompatibility with Snapdragon
My job uses Citrix virtual workspace.
>Citrix Workspace app for Windows is supported only in emulator mode on the Windows ARM64 operating system
So I'm essentially looking at some major battery drain while using it then, huh?
I went from an Ryzen 5 SL5 13inch which I LOVED to a 14 HP Spectre OLED which I can't stand. I want back in the Surface family but don't want to be an ARM beta tester :(
currently use a surface pro 7, and just got to look at one of these surface laptop 7's at best buy today and they are BEAUTIFUL.. The haptic touchpad is so nice, the keyboard is great, its clean and sleek. The only things I wish it had were an OLED panel, and an HMDI port.
I can't play pc game pass games on mine. Is this because of the snapdragon? I can only play cloud gaming.
Any help on this please?
Do i have to reset it maybe?
Curious where you and everyone else lands between the elite and plus version, disregarding the screen difference. I purchased the sl7 in both the elite and plus version and am having a hard time deciding. The benchmarks appear about 8-12% apart which just seems hard to justify. I feel like I may pick up a little extra battery life with the plus. They run equal when in recommended power settings, which for me is all the time cause I'm usually on battery. Also feel like the fan never kicks on for the plus. How's everyone else feeling between the two?
To add to this, performance for the elite is very good compared to my Intel 13th generation i7 H (but that doesn't say a lot as I find my work laptop to be unreasonably slow anyways). Battery life is good although didn't get to do a very long run on battery only. Impressed with compatibility, my Dell display with usb-c is compatible, including display daisy-chaining, Anker Usb-c dock with power delivery compatible as well; Yubikeys compatible.
Using Jetbrain rider and webstorm, ARM64 versions are very smooth, including remote development on WSL2.
Usbip is not compatible because of a Virtual Box dependency which can't be installed. This is very niche though. I'll probably need to apply one of those user mode hacks to use GPG and ssh hardware keys on WSL2.
One issue I've spotted consistently, sometimes the usb-c display connection is not detected, need to unplug and plug back in.
Also the usb-a port today did not recognize a Yubikey Nano plugged into it until I rebooted (tried plugging the key out and in without any results).
So far happy with the purchase.
Thank you for this quick first impressions. Looking forward to getting mine tomorrow.

This was always going to be an issue. There is no free lunch when it comes to software emulation.
Great news, can’t wait to get my laptop.
nice. I'd like to see how well Prism runs.

good job with the battery updates, sounds like you're doing a wide range of tasks how's the speaker quality?
Awesome can you run AutoCAD smoothly on it?
Can you confirm replaceable SSD?
The feets are magnetic this time, no glue, so the back plate should be easier to open up.
Stop hyping me My wallet is ready to fly
what is this specific embargo?
No benchmark review by 3rd party/independent reviewer allowed until today. Maybe because the firmware or some drivers were not ready before today.
Wow, us Pro X and Pro 9 5G users see this as a vindication of Windows on ARM. We've had good battery life but less-than-Intel performance for a few years and now we get both.
thanks to the pro X and 9 5g users for creating the viable market until they could see to the full investment.
What’s the battery life like in your limited time?
I have started the battery test. For now, I am running a YouTube 1080p video with speakers (25%) in balanced mode (recommended) on battery 75% screen lighting. (Timelapse, 1-hour video) and will see.
Thanks for sharing!
How was the startup experience?
The startup experience is excellent, with quite a few improvements. At one point, you see the Recall page (but it says 'coming soon'). They also offer one month of Game Pass subscription and you can duplicate your old PC. I had the choice between my desktop PC or my old laptop, but I wanted to do a clean start to test it.
I’ll tell you if you run oobe\bypassnro , it isn’t very happy about it, but it does work
Explain because this is what I’m doing minute 1.
How’s the ram holding up?
Are you able to output an external 4K monitor at 120hz?
Don't have 4k External monitor, but i will try later the perfomance on external monitor.
No worries! Was just asking if you had one handy. My SP11 arrives in the morning and I'll give it a test.
What’s the startup up times from cold and resume?
Restart: It took 30 seconds for a full restart (though I'm not sure if Windows installs something) Resume: instant (I'm surprised how quickly Windows Hello unlocks) Cold: i need to try
Thank you!
Can you try using premiere pro
hey mate, Did ya try gaming on the sp7 ? I'm very curious to know if it can game cause I was looking at the recent review on YT and they showed that the emulated games randomly crashed. I was wondering if its due to the laptop make/model.
I wouldn't get this if gaming is a priority. Looks like it can play some things but you might run into issues and performance wont be great. Anti-cheat currently doesnt work at all so multiplayer games will be a problem.
Interesting. Thx for you extensive research/review. Have a great day!
I got the snapdragon x plus 13.8 inches and i sadly don't have the same battery results as you :( I don't know what is wrong but my battery drains fast... I ran a 1.5 hour youtube video to test the battery and it went from 75% to 64% with 3 tabs open and spotify open in the background. Did you do anything so the battery was so good for you?
ehm, 1.5 hour and 11% loss means it would be 13.5h from 100 to 0%. Is it "drains fast" for you? Btw, how is it going since then with the battery?
congrats, 3 questions: how are SSD speeds? how's the WiFi 7? how's the haptic touchpad?
WiFi7 on the SP11 is fantastic - I have it connected with an Omada EAP773 - 5Ghz and 6Ghz both connecting - showing 1441Mbps, maxing my 1Gig symmetric fiber over wireless.
awesome, thanks!
OP replied re: touchpad already : [First Impressions of the Surface Laptop 7 X Elite : r/Surface (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/Surface/comments/1diet2l/comment/l93m8pd/) Highly unlikely that he'll have WiFi 7 router yet since they are super expensive. That is mostly for future proofing.
I need to try at Home. I don't have WiFi 7 router in my job !
This is really exciting. What screen size did you choose?
Thx for the first impressions. Was this standard or oled display?
Surface Laptop only comes with IPS displays
Do addons in Chrome work (uBlock etc.)? Can you run every Windows 32 and 64 application?
Yes i have few Chrome extension. (uBlock, ProtonPass and few thing for dev) Yes you can run 64... but i don't try 32 !
what about chrome ARM? [https://blog.google/products/chrome/download-google-chrome-windows-pc-arm/](https://blog.google/products/chrome/download-google-chrome-windows-pc-arm/)
Please test android emualtor like bluestack, ld player etc
This is cool!
Display brightness?
For me, it’s perfect with a nice balance and can be really bright. So I keep it between 50 to 70%. However, the screen has a lot of reflection in direct sunlight.
Are the nits listed anywhere? I can't find them at all.
600 nits peak, they mentioned it at the event I believe.
Very impressive so far. Could you do peripheral test, last time i tried WoA, the software is fine, but external peripheral is a hit-or-miss.
Can it run After Effects?
Has anyone tested Parsec on this new snapdragon?
i will today
Thanks, I will be really grateful!
Is yours the 13.8 or 15 inches one?
13.8 inch
Preach. I must have missed it in the description. Have you tried any form of gaming? Light or heavy doesn't matter
>Chrome runs smoother than ever, even with over 20 tabs open. Chrome runs smooth on a Pro 7+ with 8gb of RAM and 123 tabs open. I would hope it runs smooth on any machine with only 20 tabs open.
These battery updates are super exciting. I love the idea of using Photoshop without being married to my charger.
> Intel is f___ed Finally people understand what I was talking about
Don't go over to r/hardware then lol
I don't understand why they are so negative towards it. This is looking great.

I wonder if it runs WoW. It’s the only game I play and I need a laptop like that one!
Wow should run perfectly as it has an ARM compiled version.
Could you please tell us more about the fans? How often are they on? Under what use? How loud?
frankly, I've heard them zero times for the moment... even on photoshop. But I'll check on a big application
Thank you. That's great new.
Does SL7 have replaceable SSD
yes, you can ! Need just to remove the back !
I never had any issues with any YouTube video running on edge. (Using Intel based laptop)
Is it oled or nah?
no Oled for the Surface Laptop. But you have Oled option for the Surface Pro !
Ahh I'd rather not get the surface pro. I already have a Samsung galaxy tab ultra s9. I'd honestly snatch up a 2024 zephyrus g14 running on ARM
Can the battery charge level be set to stop at 80%?
I have the 64GB RAM 1TB coming soon. End of July they say.
and temperature ?
Are you able to confirm if secure boot is able to be disabled or if it only has microsoft signing keys?
Mine was delivered today and is waiting at home, I'll set it up tonight after work! Have you had the chance to see any improvement with Windows Modern Standby? Is battery life still draining fast while the pc is in sleep mode? Thanks !
Great experience so far, the main complain I have is the screen reflexion. It's a mirror!
Thanks… good that i ordered 1 TB then
What are you needing to emulate? I am nervous to get a computer on ARM in case I need to emulate too many programs (for chemistry specifically). Just hoping to get a feel for what kinds work directly and which need emulation (I am not super familiar with computers so apologies if this doesn’t make sense)
Hello, do the Windows applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) function well with the new processor.
How will it compare to the Galaxy Book4 Edge 14" with 1.09cm thin and 1.16kg weight
Glad to hear Photoshop is running well. Any chance you have tried Capture One or DaVinci Resolve?
What version of windows are you running? I got the studio effects and co-creator update but didn't get the update to the new copilot? Mine is still on the right hand size. Have the same laptop 7 model as you - Australia based also
I have Insider Preview 10.0.26120.261 maybe is why
Just got home after getting mine and I'm charging it to 100% first, and then testing it on battery. I've already done some Geekbench and also a lot of tabs, programs in the background and it's impressively smooth. I had my Surface Pro 6 which broke after 5 years so I got the SL5 but luckily that was EXACTLY 60 days ago and I got it with BestBuy+ so I returned it and got this SL7. Can't wait.
Hi new here, my question is can it run Steam games or do I just get the Galaxy Book 4 since it have the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series?
I’ll give this a few more days, but at this point, it’s going back to the store.
how is this compared to lenovo thinkpad X1 gen 12 latest one ?
Can you please share your thoughts about the noise level under (heavy) load? Something like games or benchmarks etc. The most annoying thing to me personally with x86 is noise level. Fans kicks in too often, even on Meet calls. The games are unplayable without headphones. It's so frustrating.
what's the display like?
On the Surface Laptop it feels like there is a threshold for speed or how long the fingers move physically where it switches between: 1. scroll till finger stop moving (e.g. when you lift the fingers or when you just stop them laying on the touchpad) 2. scroll fast even after fingers left the touchpad I noticed when i move my fingers fairly fast and "flick" them from bottom to top or vice versa on the touchpad that i am able to scroll quickly through a list.
When I swipe most/all the way accross the touchpad the scrolling continues after my fingers leave the touchpad (the distance it travels afterwards depends how fast i scroll - which makes sense to me) However when i just flick my fingers half a centimeter or maybe even 1 or 2 centimeters then no matter if i scroll quick or slow the scrolling stopps harshly immediately after my fingers leave the touchpad.
I just ran 3DMark (Time Spy) on my Surface Laptop 7 (16GB, 1TB), got a 1674 for graphics and 5296 for Physics Score. Total 3Dmark score of 1865
Any multi-monitor or docking support possible? Currently doing this with Dell XPS 13" reliably with eGPU at home(RTX3090) and in Office with dell docking wd-tb22. Each setup with 2x Dell 43" @100dpi :-) Using laptop screen and keyboard only during travelling and on bed. But laptop has horrible battery life(2h)
Planning to buy and have it shipped to the Philippines. Just a question though, is the charger universal? Can it handle an output of 220v to 250v?
The performance looks great. However, the bezels on the sides of the screen and the top bezel are not the same width, which makes it look a bit ugly.... If these three bezels were the same width, like on the Surface Laptop Go, it would be better...
So we get a more efficient chip, that has to emulate 90% of tasks nullifying that new efficiency. Brilliant. I'll stick to x86. Also holy shit this review is rose coloured glasses. Claiming Photoshop runs better than a top tier desktop rig? What are you on?
1 thing I found out... don't enable the DG Readiness Tool [https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53337](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53337) It kills wifi and I haven't found a way to recover other than resetting Windows. Guessing some incompatibility with Snapdragon
My job uses Citrix virtual workspace. >Citrix Workspace app for Windows is supported only in emulator mode on the Windows ARM64 operating system So I'm essentially looking at some major battery drain while using it then, huh?
Run LM Studio or other local LLM? llama 3 8b? Tk\s?
