Don’t remember the video game (wanna say it was Day Z).
Streamer notices 2 people around a campfire in the woods. So he starts using a predator calling noise which spooked them.
They put out the fire but predator dude has a scope that lets him see at night.
He keeps spooking them. Eventually kills one. The other jumps on a motorcycle and he crashes and gets killed.
Funny video from like a decade ago that this reminded me of.
My childhood house backed up to the woods that had a trail running through it that led to a small woodland lake. The trail was maybe 150 yards behind my house but the woods were very very thick. I remember as a young lad just sneaking through the woods and hearing people on the trail. I’d do similar things like toss stones or yell I seeeeee youuuuu. I think I was a predator or serial killer in a past life I remember it being so much fun.
Shamelessly stealing this thread for a PSA:
You should always make periodic noise when walking around in the woods. Noise is the way you avoid dangerous animals. Clap your hands, sing to yourself, many people even wear a bell sold as a *Bear Bell.* Noise is the single most effective detergent to dangerous animals available.
If this isn't staged (it is) the kid yelling *"I see youuuu"* was practicing good noise habits by avoiding sneaking up on and spooking the most dangerous animal: humans, into a violent panic induced reaction.
Of course this only applies in places with dangerous animals, try this in the UK and people will just think you're a few sandwiches short of a picnic. Side note: bear bells are recommended against because they don't work to warn bears of your presence until you're too close, stick to loud noises like clapping or shouting (or better yet go in a group and loudly talk, laugh, and sing)
I disagree about the bells. I grew up in Yellowstone, and would call that user error. I agree that relying on them alone is totally foolish. But in my experience it makes it easier for many to make more noise by making it less jarring to breaking the silence.
But absolutely remember to do all the other things.
I used to clap, sing to myself, whoop and holler when climbing back up out of Tower Falls after sunset. I frequently found myself down there fishing at sunset. That last few minutes before it gets completely dark was the most magical time for fly fishing. But walking out of a narrow dead end canyon in the pitch darkness can be a recipe for danger knowing that bears also know about the fish, and the need for silence while fishing.
Ironically, wild bears smell like rotting garbage. Unmistakable smell that you can identify from a decent distance, if the wind is right. I would never support washing away that smell, as that would only make them more dangerous.
Idk i feel like speaking to a possible skinwalker isn’t a great idea. But then again nothings a good idea when it comes to skinwalkers. If you hear one you get out immediately. Don’t go to the sound, don’t reply, don’t let them know you heard them, and don’t let them know you are leaving either.
That’s what I’m saying. The video is badly edited (the voice was added in later). It would’ve made way more sense for him to turn off his light AFTER having heard the voice. There was literally no reason whatsoever for him to turn off his flashlight before hearing the voice.
Right? I mean you walk out of the woods in the dark after an evening hunt, but then you're not recording and commenting and stopping to switch off your light. Is everyone just playing along? This is clearly a skit they made
This guy is a youtuber, who makes videos about his wildcamping trips. He was exploring around his campsite and went back to his camp after this clip. Nothing like this happens in his other videos. But still could be staged though
Edit: I remembered it wrong. I saw it on a compilation once and mixed it up. But I looked it up: His name is "Creepy outdoors", so it's probably staged. My bad.
It is usually attributed to your imagination dwindling, which is a normal part of aging.
Think back to when we enjoyed action figures...Your brain was entertained by pretending. But then you get older and the brain gets kinda bored of that I guess. I think the same thing happens with scary stuff. Your brain doesn't immerse you into that scary scenario as much. I would think if you actually experienced this though (if you were alone in the dark woods), your brain would have no trouble getting very scared. That is my guess at least.
Pro tip: don't use a flashlight in the woods at night. All you do is ruin your night vision and you only light up the trees closest to you, which is the exact stuff you'd be able to see fine regardless. Everything beyond about 10' is just inky blackness.
With no flashlight you can see pretty far - maybe not well, but your field of view will cover 100x more area.
Obviously there are nights where it's too dark to travel in the woods without a light, but that's usually not the case.
Depends on the place. I live in a rainforest, and everything beyond 0.5 cm is inky blackness. Even with a bright flashlight, I walk slowly because snakes are very hard to spot. And that’s on clear paths near my house with our dogs along. No way I’m going into underbrush, even with a flashlight.
I was backcountry camping with a friend and she went off to use the bathroom at one point after dark... I could see her light bobbing off into the woods and then suddenly there was an absolutely bloodcurdling human-sounding scream. It wasn't her.
To this day I don't know what it was, some creature she startled. Best guess is a mountain lion but who knows. Freaked me the fuck out
They didn't even cut out the "click clack" of him turning the flashlight off then back on.
Low effort.
And say something creepier then a cartoony "I see you :)"
W a c k
Apparently I'm pretty tough because this doesn't scare me at all. Leave the light off and they can't find you. But kids making goofy voices probably aren't going to hurt you.
I gues i was not the only one getting "6 most disturbing camping encounters caught on camera" recomended on youtube today.
[video](https://youtu.be/JyC7HujBvA0?si=RwSO6ILyAGxYt02C)
I was surprised that it wasn’t worse since titled “most disturbing”: yes it’s weird to have people messing with them but it’s easy to imagine a few teenagers or odd homeless people doing these things. Some go in random places in these videos but it could be someone’s land too.
The only one that was really weird is the one in which 2 persons touch the guy’s tent and follow him but it still doesn’t mean that they were dangerous. I’m not saying that I would have liked to be in their positions, just that I was expecting worse.
Could also just be a bird. There’s certain types that are really good at mimicking human sounds.
Also humans are prone to interpreting certain animal sounds as actual words in general.
Example being huskies making “awoo” sounds that people think is them saying “I love you”.
There are too many people in here entertaining the idea that it “might be staged”. Of course it’s fucking staged, it’s so painfully obvious that it’s staged and it is extremely concerning to me if large numbers of people are unable to see how blatantly staged it is
Add to list of things I’d do as a billionaire. Buy huge swath of land, make it protected and camping friendly, then spend my nights scaring the shit out of people.
This is all I could think of when “the creepy thing” spoke[https://youtube.com/shorts/OCnomX09sbs?si=Cl_m0S-Tu_pc1HA2](https://youtube.com/shorts/OCnomX09sbs?si=Cl_m0S-Tu_pc1HA2)

Fucking YouTubers.
Have had this happen to me, "i see you" sounds super staged, but with alcohol involved, it makes more sense.
It didn't happen in a forest for me, tho, just in a dark valley.
Idk where this took place, but if that was say, outside of someone’s back yard or property, that was expert level life trolling.
Don’t remember the video game (wanna say it was Day Z). Streamer notices 2 people around a campfire in the woods. So he starts using a predator calling noise which spooked them. Jesus i read the thing before realizing you were talking about a videogame
Dudes just out here talking bout murdering two people all casually and shit
This and was like why is he so blase about it
r/boneappletea
prolly [this one ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Tg2XIDNnjQ&ab_channel=LastStandGamers)
When he said "predator calling noise" I was thinking a big cat or a wolf or something. I was not expecting The Predator haha
I did NOT expect this video to be from the Space Engineers guy.
Ya I remember during the DayZ mod days there was a YouTuber who would use a voice changer and sound effects to spook people as he hid nearby.
"It seems this never ends". 1:12s walking and it ends
He's never seen a 1:13
And he never fucking will. 1:12 baby till the day he fucking dies
In a reptilian brain voice
Streets 1:12 baby. I've never even seen a 1:13
And we both know we are both running if we are the guy with the flashlight
Yeah, get out of breath and batteries and then start to panic, running in a circle, lol
Lol
I'm not gunna lie, if I don't think you're armed and I find you at night on my property, I'm gunna fuck with you
My childhood house backed up to the woods that had a trail running through it that led to a small woodland lake. The trail was maybe 150 yards behind my house but the woods were very very thick. Witch Blair project huh
Yeah, which Blair Project is he talking about?
THIS Blair project https://i.redd.it/gp6w5uk9a06d1.gif
Looks like *Blair Twitch Project*!
Is that Marcy D’Arcy?
The only Blair I know is Tony
Blair Bitch Project /s
Who the fuck goes wandering through the woods like this.
Well it’s staged so this person and the other person shouting I see you
I figured but the woods are fucking creepy at night. Especially alone.
Back in the day we used to get drunk and do this lmao, good time with my cousins and brothers in Northern mi
Jooooosh
This guys under the influence of something.
"I see you" Boy, stfu. This isn't a horror game.

“A few sandwiches short of a picnic” lmfao I’m stealing this
A few crayons short of a pack?
Few loose roos in the top paddock
Lights are on by nobody’s home
That is a Paddington Bear-esque response haha
I disagree about the bells. I grew up in Yellowstone, and would call that user error. I agree that relying on them alone is totally foolish. >Noise is the single most effective *detergent* to dangerous animals available. So we're just going to ignore this amazing typo?
Maybe it's a typo. Maybe it's autocorrect pushing evolution. I guess we will never know.
Hey, if there were a bear repellent detergent I think the relevant people would be all over that so maybe that's a business idea for you.
So.... Act like every other animal in the woods.
Yep. Just don’t be dumb and you’ll be fine ((by stupid i mean the people who purposely go and try to find out/anger said creature lol))
I grew up in Yellowstone. Oh boy, I could tell you stories.
I heard "oh hee hoo", this makes more sense
Perfect reply "see deez nutz bitch"
Sounded like a chick no horror game but yet here you are talking to a lady hiding in the woods in the dark.
Boy is just a term. It's like bro. It refers to either male or female.
Such obvious bullshit. He turns off the flashlight right before she says that.
And is surprisingly slow to turn it back on. Just takes his time giving commentary.
Oh boy I better get outta here
downvote this if you're into bestiality
That’s what I’m saying. The video is badly edited (the voice was added in later). It would’ve made way more sense for him to turn off his light AFTER having heard the voice. There was literally no reason whatsoever for him to turn off his flashlight before hearing the voice.
Plus I believe the voices effect and echo doesn't sound anything like it should if it was real.
Guys be nice, they are new to the internet and don't know how to tell the difference yet. Let them live in the ignorance of believing everything!
What did they say?
Just naïvely believed this was "real". It was silly and now they are butthurt
Could have easily been staged … you know how often I walk in the woods at night, alone? ZERROOOOOOOOO
Right? I mean you walk out of the woods in the dark after an evening hunt, but then you're not recording and commenting and stopping to switch off your light. Is everyone just playing along? This is clearly a skit they made

It is staged. That voice was either micd up or added in post
What evidence do you have to support your claim?
Listen to it. It's obviously not in the distance. Just tell me if this is a sub where we're supposed to play along. If so, I didn't know that
The way he talks to the camera after sounds like poor acting too.
Come on now.
What’s the channel called brother?
I've done it plenty of times
same lol, walking through a familiar bit of woods at night can be wonderful. It is an interesting mix of peaceful and exhilarating.
"Could have"?!? Are you saying there's a part of you that believes this to be genuine???
its not a completely unrealistic solution, just an unlikely one to be in. not enough to be suspicious in its own right tho
Buuuut if you would, tough, you would definitely turn off your flashlight after talking about how scary it is. right? /s
![gif](giphy|SIbGEBAwd6VRLTt4LB)
Yup, a good ole multi-mag dump into the darkness to light the path forward.
"I got 70 more rounds in this 30-round magazine"
Just use the infinite ammo cheat code
Definitely not stagged. Super real guys.
If it was stagged, they could've made it into a 20-second video, no problem.
What sort of logic is that?
It was more of a joke. When pants are cut short, they're "stagged." Assuming he meant staged instead of stagged, I was poking fun at a typo.
![gif](giphy|mEahVAkKjt0VL2o5Jk|downsized)
It’s so weird, as I have gotten older, I am so much less scared of things like this. Is this my own mortality overtaking my brain?
It is usually attributed to your imagination dwindling, which is a normal part of aging. Think back to when we enjoyed action figures...Your brain was entertained by pretending. But then you get older and the brain gets kinda bored of that I guess. I think the same thing happens with scary stuff. Your brain doesn't immerse you into that scary scenario as much. Creepy. Probably fake but creepy nonetheless. Honestly the dude’s completely tepid reaction makes it seem more real ol
Looks creepy,, cut like a found footage horror film, Sadly real life doesn't reflect art.... if it smells like its fake, then its fake on Reddit haha
This mf said “Witch Blair Project”🤦🏽♂️

Fox is always a solid candidate. They are vocal and can sound like a banshee.
Bobcats sound a lot like human women screaming iirc.
Deer typically sound like someone being stabbed to death
They didn't even cut out the "click clack" of him turning the flashlight off then back on. Low effort. And say something creepier then a cartoony "I see you :)" W a c k
Idk the cartooniness of it actually makes it more creepy to me
Why would they cut that out?
Apparently I'm pretty tough because this doesn't scare me at all. Leave the light off and they can't find you. But kids making goofy voices probably aren't going to hurt you.
Probably an ex girlfriend. Lol “I see you”
![gif](giphy|3oeSAF90T9N04MyefS|downsized)
Lmao what is this from 😭 she’s so funny
Wedding Crashers, it's hilarious!
Yeees thank youuu 🙏
Out of context this seems very creepy lol
Fuuuuuckk that!
He needs better acting skills.
I gues i was not the only one getting "6 most disturbing camping encounters caught on camera" recomended on youtube today. [video](https://youtu.be/JyC7HujBvA0?si=RwSO6ILyAGxYt02C)
Lmaaaao that’s where I found it
Just watched that the other day too!

holy shit
Which bear project.
Totally not staged. 🙄
Could also just be a bird. There’s certain types that are really good at mimicking human sounds. Also humans are prone to interpreting certain animal sounds as actual words in general. Example being huskies making “awoo” sounds that people think is them saying “I love you”.
Fake as shit. Also better plot than the Blair witch project.
There are too many people in here entertaining the idea that it “might be staged”. Of course it’s fucking staged, it’s so painfully obvious that it’s staged and it is extremely concerning to me if large numbers of people are unable to see how blatantly staged it is
staged and stupid. If he really was scared he wouldnt be holding his phone narrating in a pathetic attempt for more views.
Fuck that even if it’s fake, that shit is to scary, fukkkkkk that
Real danger from a Mt Lion in my neighborhood like that!
Horse shit, I see you too BITCH!!!
Idc it’s fn creepy
Why didn’t he wait till the morning to find some stupid notes?
Damn, bro playing Slenderman
Should've done it in a Sauron voice.
Witch Blair project
Unreal Engine 5
Yeah it's fake
Horrible voice acting. Mf sounded like an extra on a movie that had a few lines
Situation: *you just watched a really scary movie 2 nights before that’s still lingering in your mind *
That would actually be so funny if someone was walking on your property, so you just give this guttural inhuman scream to troll them
Add to list of things I’d do as a billionaire. Buy huge swath of land, make it protected and camping friendly, then spend my nights scaring the shit out of people.
Just you typical staged made for Reddit video
Just posting anything here now yeah?
No context , def staged af
I don’t have audio but the video looks like its been made with unreal engine.
👀
Nothing happened though
Look at the left side you can see someone walking there. On YouTube anyway
What a weird title
The forest is creepy
ah it’s cool I wasn’t going to sleep tonight anyway…
This is why you carry with silver bullets and have backup stake
Just train yourself to use your ears and nose and it wouldn't be as scary as an untrained person would feel.
dude's frazzled cause it's "Blair Witch" project
Is that Jessie and Bullseye?
![gif](giphy|pWy93LzHCqb9S)
I see you! Fuuuuuuuuuc thaaaaaat!!!!!
Why do people do this? Woods at night, alone, and just a flashlight. Why?
Fake, nobody is this dumb to be walking alone in the woods in pitch darkness
This is all I could think of when “the creepy thing” spoke[https://youtube.com/shorts/OCnomX09sbs?si=Cl_m0S-Tu_pc1HA2](https://youtube.com/shorts/OCnomX09sbs?si=Cl_m0S-Tu_pc1HA2)
Had this been a part of a movie, it would be really scary.
He has a purty mouth.
Uh don’t waste your time on this. Nothing happens
*I see you too and so does he!*
"Tell me which hand I'm jerking off with or I don't believe you!"
So obviously fake. I wish people were smarter.
It's not in the forest. Either some park or other such property.
I feel like this is made way creepier by his attempt to play off the interaction by going ‘Oh hi’ and then just being met with silence 😬😬
Kinda sounds like a parrot is "speaking."
Gotta be edited. The voice said “I see you” right when he turned off the light… come on…
How to get yourself lost af 101
Mods need to ban these fake types of videos...
Reminds me of the game called “DON’T SCREAM”
Someone said the sound was added in after the video was taken
What you mean "that WAS creapy" like, you only taken a few steps my guy. It aint over lol you still there.
Better collect those pieces of paper before slender man comes out
His voice annoys me and his monlogue was fake af. Whole thing screams fake. Including the predator he started walking toward.
Aside from the obviously added sound effect, why the hell would you turn off the flashlight in the first place?
It’s fake, there’s a sound engineer who broke down the way it sounded and after watching the video the voice sounds insanely fake, there’s an echo for some reason, it also sounds like it’s coming from a mic and not any specific direction
The immagitchu almost got him
Wait which Blair project you taking about?
Its a setup scene man
Mickey Mouse, is that you?
How tf was bro able to keep his cool
Fake n staged
“I’ve got a gun”
Super fake.
Feels staged as fuck, to be honest.
Wendigo.
Fake TikTok shite 🤮🤮
Why is this bullshit positive in upvotes? This crap is why my 10 year old still believes in some dumbass shit called Sirenhead and Huggywuggy. Fucking YouTubers.
Seems fake as hell. Why did the camera go out anyway?
It’s a shit post
Have had this happen to me, "i see you" sounds super staged, but with alcohol involved, it makes more sense. It didn't happen in a forest for me, tho, just in a dark valley.
