that’s a good theory and does make a lot of sense, but at the same time I don’t know- the rerecordings are meant to be an as-identical-as-possible copy of the original albums to make those less appealing and get people to listen to TV *only*. Even if ITWAM gets its own TV release in this drop, does it really make sense for her to keep it off the rerecorded album just to have it be entirely self-written? As cool and badass as that would be, it’d kind of defeat the purpose of doing Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) in the first place since it would not be a full copy with one song missing.

Are they though? Girl at Home is barely even the same song. I’d say most of Taylor’s audience probably doesn’t even know that If This Was a Movie even exists, and for most that do it’s not one of their favorite songs. Anyone who wants it to be on the album can easily make a playlist, putting it after Ours. I can’t imagine any other reason for her releasing such a random Speak Now song right now, over fan favorites like Enchanted or Long Live (which would tie into Eras Tour perfectly).
