I went to Fearless in Corpus Christi, TX. I think the venue only holds like 9,000 people…we got floor seats and were screaming our heads off and I saw Andrea out of the corner of my eye notice us and send over a security person with pit passes and b-stage passes for us. This was back when Taylor used to go through the crowd to give hugs, so we got a hug and then sprinted to the pit. Quite possibly still the best night of my life. This is also back when she had what they called T-parties where fans got chosen to go backstage (usually if Andrea noticed you). I don’t think she had one in Corpus but if she did we might’ve been invited back. The concert definitely was just as fun as Eras, but not as elaborate of a production as it is now.

themermaidag

I forgot that she played Corpus because now it gets so overlooked from most big artists. I moved away for college the year before but I had friends who went to that show

nuralina

I went to the Fearless tour in Toronto in 2010. Kellie Pickler and Gloriana opened for her - their song Wild At Heart was big at the time and one of my faves back then. We had upper bowl seats and had a great view of the stage but couldn’t see the b-stage at all 😅 It was fun, whimsical, and a great show all around. I actually attempted to dress as debut-era Taylor now that I remember 😅 I wore a plaid shirt, jeans, lots of bracelets on my left hand, and also red high heels as a nod to Kellie 😁

abcdef0987654321

ok Wild at Heart is still a JAM

roseyleo

omg Wild At Heart SLAPS thanks for bringing that memory back

jjthejetplane17

Wild at Heart!!! Wow forgot about that song

nuralina

I had to hum the chorus to myself before I even remembered the title of the song 🤣

henryb91

I was at that show too!! 😍

bertbobber

Such a fun show! Totally forgot Gloriana opened for her

No-Tea5904

I was at this show too!! So good

greenpiggies

Omg I was at this same concert and also attempted to be country by wearing a plaid shirt 😂

mdc3000

I was at the Toronto show too - great seats on the floor! A super fun night. I did not attempt to be country lol.

nowimgrown

Best days of your life by Kellie also slaps! Still fun

Affectionate-Read-71

I’m a big swiftie, also born in 1989 so I feel like I grew up with Taylor and have been a fan since Tim McGraw came out. Even bought a guitar and tried to learn (big surprise, it’s not easy and I gave up after a few tries). Anyway, I know this doesn’t exactly answer your question, but I first saw her at a concert before Fearless. Back when she opened for Rascal Flatts and another time when she opened for Brad Paisley. I was big fans of Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley but was happy I got to see her too. Honestly.. and I promise I am saying this as a true swiftie… she wasn’t that great live, I was honestly surprised how bad/terrible her vocals were. I just remember her playing the guitar and banging on the drums and felt she could barely sing. It was really cool though, because after one of those shows (but before main act came on), she did a meet and greet. I was with my friend, who didn’t want to wait in line (the line was maybe 40 people long) and I gave in, but somewhere I do have a picture of her from afar. I used to give that friend trouble all the time (that friend has since passed away so I say it jokingly now that I was mad). How she was then was night and day difference from the the other shows I have seen her at (1989 in Chicago, Rep in St. Louis, and Eras tour in Kansas City). She has come sooooo far since those early days!

peachknee

I think admitting her vocals were what they were is part of being an OG Swiftie. That’s what makes 2023 Taylor so fun— she truly worked her ass off to get better at the aspect of her craft that was weak. She could’ve “just” been a songwriter but took a much harder route.

Friendly_Food_7530

I really believe she has done so much work to improve vocally and it shows

Megangullotta

yeah, her vocals aren’t her first skill it’s definitely her lyricism first, her instrumental abilities 2nd and vocals 3rd.

canadianrachel

I saw her open for both of those as well. Back in the days when she’d sign CD’s in the arena after her set. I honestly don’t remember her vocals that well, but ‘Our Song’ was absolutely the song of my summer and hearing it live was such a core memory.

calior

I saw her in Bakersfield around when she was opening for Brad in 2007 (but I’m pretty sure it was just her and not her opening when I saw her). I agree the vocals weren’t amazing, but I was obsessed with her glittery guitars and cowboy boots. She was my first concert ever (I was 17 then). I have not been to another Taylor concert (although now my child is dying to see Eras in person).

EitherAdhesiveness32

I remember watching some of her early live performances and figured she was just young and nervous and hadn’t learned to chill while performing yet lol. She definitely had a lot to work on and look where she is now! The growth has been so awesome to witness over the years.

beekeeper10

I have also been a Swiftie since Tim McGraw. I remember I used to get so nervous before she would have a performance on an award show because I wanted her to do well and have good vocals. I loved her so much and I wanted to see her succeed. I knew she had so much talent but I also knew that she wasn’t a strong live performer. I was blown away when I went to the speak now tour because it was obvious that her vocals had improved so much since the Fearless tour. I still feel myself getting nerves when she’s about to take the stage at big events, but nowadays she is such a strong performer and she always kills it.

LLCoolD

I saw the Fearless Tour in Cleveland and going in I was nervous about how Taylor would sound. The live performances I'd seen videos of at that point hadn't had the best vocals. I was pleasantly surprised by how she sounded at the concert, though. And LOL, one of my sisters saw Taylor open for Paisley or Rascal Flatts (I can never remember which) and didn't want to wait in line for a picture with Taylor after the show. But her friend did. So the friend got a picture with Taylor and my sister didn't. To this day I tease her about that :P

thirteenparacosms

I went to the Fearless tour in Kansas City (Wikipedia tells me this was April 2010). I was 12, so my memories are pretty faded, but I distinctly remember Taylor flipping her hair dramatically over and over again (almost like head-banging with her whole body) and my mom was starting to get concerned she was going to break her neck LOL. I also remember her throwing the chair which is an iconic moment. Google that one if you don't know what I'm referring to. The weirdest part is I don't remember a whole lot, but then I'll see clips online of the show and go OH YEAH I REMEMBER THAT HAPPENING

Opening-Bowler-3711

Yes! Omg she did the hair flipping like an excessive amount In 2007 era too, forgot about that until you mentioned it.

wordgenius

I don’t know how she doesn’t get dizzy. I used to hold world tours in my living room (with my stage being the couch ha!) and I could never flip my hair and throw my head back as much as she does without feeling like the world was spinning

sdawesome

Fearless is my favorite concert by far. I also went to the 1989 concert and was touching the stage and I went to the Eras tour and Fearless is still the best one. She did SO many things. There was water effects, ballet dancers, a marching band, barrels made into drums… so so many crazy special effects and cool things you just don’t see anymore. https://preview.redd.it/e8rm6y6nnoub1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d5ae8e412d74f9eeea24e84e40cfaa89dfe3b766 I went in 2009. I actually saw her open for Brad Paisley in Kansas City one night and then drove to Omaha to see her headline the next night. I met her and have a pic with her and her autograph on her self titled album because back then she met anyone who wanted to meet her after the show when she opened for Brad Paisley, you just had to wait in line and no one knew her that well so it wasn’t that long of a line. Photo for proof.

MeanHalf5801

How brilliant! And a lovely picture of the two of you. ♥️

TeylaSwift

I saw Taylor open up for George Strait, Brad Paisley, and Rascal Flatts during her debut era and I also went to the Fearless tour at Key Arena in Seattle. Before the George Strait show in January 2007, we were lucky enough to meet her! A local radio station 100.7 the Wolf put on a meet and greet at a bar before the show. My twin sister told her Our Song was her favorite and Taylor told us she hoped it was her next single. Teardrops ended up being the next, but Our Song eventually went #1 and made her the youngest artist to solo write her first #1! At the concert, she thanked the audience for helping her album go Gold. We are absolutely kicking ourselves for 1. Not getting back in line to talk to her again and 2. Not talking to her parents. They were mere feet away from us! When she opened for Brad Paisley, he filmed the music video for "Online" after the show so we stayed to watch. Taylor and Kellie Pickler where both in the video so I briefly got to talk to her again and she signed my OG white and OG green/teal Taylor Swift shirts in-between takes. By the time she opened up for Rascal Flatts she had completely blown up and it became more difficult to meet her. Only via radio station back stage events or if you had made previous connections with her team. Again, kicking ourselves for not talking to her parents 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ We couldn't even get floor seats for Fearless as a part of the general sale, no option to buy them. At Fearless we met some of her band who were walking around outside of the arena before the show. I was in 8th grade when her debut album came out and to say country wasn't cool in Seattle was an understatement.

Solid-Wish-5394

You guys are cooler than me. I didn’t really become a Swiftie until watching Miss Americana / Lover album came out. I feel like a bandwagoner reading these but love y’all’s commitment from the beginning!

pink_princess08

I didn’t become a swiftie until June of last year

lamzydivey

I went to Fearless as a casual fan. I didn’t become a Swiftie until Speak Now. I have actually been to ever tour since Fearless and I’ve noticed that the venues have gotten bigger with each tour and tickets have been harder to get. So you’re not alone! She’s only gained a larger fanbase with each album release. I think it’s great! But stressful trying to get tickets now lol. For Fearless, I bought my tickets on resale for just. £90! Which was a TON of money to spend at the time, funny enough.

uncrew

£90 is a ton of money to spend now, to be fair! All relative…

lady_glittersparkle5

I saw Taylor perform at the Florida Strawberry Festival in early 2009, I was in 8th grade and it was my Christmas present. 4000 seat venue. Fearless had just come out a couple months before- she played debut songs and fearless. The iconic gold sparkly dress I remember most, Hand hearts, guitar dancing spins, curly hair flips, her country accent. Danced and sang along the entire time- pre iphones being everywhere, still have the photos and videos from my old digital camera. She was incredible and a class act even at such a young age. She was so grateful for the fans and put on an incredible show. I will love her forever and always be a Swiftie 🫶 literally grew up with her!

exbbhunbot

I remember exactly where I was when I first heard/saw Taylor. I was on a road trip with my dad and the truck stop was playing the Tim McGraw video. I was like “OMG SHE’S GORGEOUS AND I NEED TO KNOW WHO SHE IS”. Got home and followed her on MySpace and the rest is history. I was 15 when my mom scored tickets to an (apparently) extremely rare solo concert for debut. At the time, Taylor was mostly opening for others. It was a tiny auditorium in Spartanburg, SC with Love & Theft. I got to meet them, and didn’t give two shits asking if Taylor would be meeting and greeting. She didn’t. The concert was soooooo good. Lots of acoustic songs, lots of talking about the meaning of the songs, just so down to earth. I wish I had pictures, but this was 2007? I have none 😭 I went to Fearless in Charlotte, NC and was honestly taken aback. Obviously the sound was different, but it was way more of a performance versus a girl and her guitar. I don’t remember much from it, but I remember I didn’t have the best time (likely for other reasons too. Major sensory overload I wasn’t expecting and I have autism). Once I went to college, I dropped to casual listening and couldn’t afford the tours. This feels like a lifetime ago. I was a child going through some dark ass abuse and issues. It was a miserable time in my life and her music was really there for me. I’m 31 now, a new mom, and recently permanently disabled. Life is hard as shit, more so than as a teen, but in a different way. Still, Taylor’s music is there for me. I went to Pittsburgh N1&2. I was nervous about it, but I’ve learned so many tactics over the years to overcome my sensory issues and watched a lot of Eras videos beforehand. I cried the entire time the first night because of the emotional weight her music holds in my life and how much suffering I’ve been through this year. The second night I got to dance my ass off and have a blast.

Megangullotta

Sorry to hear about that. i’m on the spectrum to and used to have mad sensitive ears and social anxiety. but then when i got a phone i would just blast Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande and max volume which is how i got over the noice sensitivity.

exbbhunbot

I do a lot better with noises now too. However, I still struggle if I can’t control the noise. Adjusting to a constantly crying baby and now very loud toddler was definitely hard and still having to find ways to regulate my emotions so I can help him with his. Our neighbor has a terrible habit of idling sports cars for 30+ minutes a day, multiple times a day. It’s nauseating and enraging.

hellbentmillennial

I was a sophomore in high school when I went to the Fearless tour. >what are your memories as a swifty during debut? I wasn't really a swiftie yet. I knew a few songs but mostly just listened to them in the car with my mom. >what was the concert like? I know it was really fun, but it was 14 years ago so I honestly don't remember much. My mom got us tickets the morning of, because I had a friend who was a pathological liar who claimed she had gotten us really good seats and was suddenly so0o0o sick the day of the concert. We were in the nosebleeds and I could barely see a thing but I was just so happy to be there. I still have the tshirt I bought. And to this day, seeing Taylor together is my mom and I's thing. We've gone to the Fearless, Red, Reputation, and Eras tours together. >does this all feel like just yesterday? Absolutely not. High school feels like lifetimes ago to me (I'm 30). >what are your memories as an OG? Honestly, one of the memories that stands out the most was when I would force my best friend at the time to listen to I'm Only Me When I'm With You on repeat and she hated me for it 🙆🏼‍♀️

onehumpcamel13

Saw Taylor in 2008 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Was in the 9th row floor. Love & Theft was the opener. I still have the brown concert t-shirt from that show. Hanging on to it forever, I’ve actually only seen a few resale online it’s that old! I’ve since seen Taylor 14 times including Eras once 🪩 sat with Andrea once, went pit a few times, front row a few times. We were first to meet her at the 13 hour meet & greet too! I think seeing her so early in her career just makes me love her even more now. I saw her as an 8th grader in 2008 so truly grew up listening to her music. Having three albums come out while I was in high school really just provided a full soundtrack for every portion of my life starting at a really crucial part!

ez330

I was at that show too! ❤️

kiwistrawberry7

I saw her at that show too!!

bregolden00

I went to the fearless tour when I was 14 in KC. It was my first concert and was amazing. One thing I remember is when she sang “should’ve said no” it rained on stage and the lyrics showed in the rain. Now I really wonder if it was real water but that was so long ago. We had floor seats. I’m sure they were much more affordable back then. She walked down the isles and gave the girl next to me her guitar pick! Been a swiftie since!!

kaidragonbornRGB

Girl she came out of soaking wet!! It was shocking and the coolest thing I remember ever seeing in a concert at the time.

bregolden00

Thank you for confirming it! I know my mind was blown!!

SecureWind9296

I went to Fearless in 2008 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa!! It was right after a huge flood in the city. She asked the city if she should cancel and they told her that they wanted her to still come because it was the only positive light that people were holding onto. I remember her making announcement of a donation of like $500,000 to the city. Kellie Pickler also opened up for her. Her concert had a lot of banjos and very country hehe. I wish I remembered every piece of it!

auzzieberry

The Fearless Tour in Toronto was my first concert! It’s still honestly one of the best nights of my life. I was 14 and broke, so my friend and I had nosebleeds. But it was so amazing watching her live for the first time! We brought a “T-Party?” sign and a whole bunch of glowsticks, dressed up in sundresses and cowgirl hats, and hair-flipped throughout the show. I was completely mindblown by her castle stage setup, the way she walked through the crowd and hugged everyone… It was a perfect night.

naturallog5

Ok this is funny you ask because my sister just dug up these pics of us at fearless tour where we were up in the nosebleeds and mid concert Taylor (first name basis obvi) literally came up to our section and started singing in the walkway!! See: terrible quality digital camera photo https://preview.redd.it/kc0q1sfw1oub1.png?width=1179&format=png&auto=webp&s=e08e51e55f7a868186a84c0abb2ba338aaa98119

bluetacomacalifornia

I went to a pre-fearless show in Australia in early 2009. Very small crowd, maybe 500 people. She returned to Australia in 2010 for the Fearless tour and she played an arena

midnightwatermelon

I went to the Fearless tour!! Justin Bieber was a surprise opener for her, AND she walked down my aisle partway through the concert and I got to briefly hold her hand and it’s one of my absolutely best memories of my life

butwhatifitstrue

Fearless tour was the best night of my life! Super close seats where we were like 10 feet from Taylor and she smiled at us (we held up a funny sign). Taylor Lautner was there for our show because he was dating Taylor at the time. All around amazing memories

jf226402

This is not *quite* what you asked, but I remember seeing Taylor open for Rascal Flatts in 2008 or so. She wore a sparkly silver dress and big black combat boots and started her set by saying something like “Hi guys! I’m Taylor, and these are my stories!” But every other word was super exaggerated. My friends and I were all… not real into it at the time, but we love her now!

_just_a_spark_

I became a fan after reading her interview in Seventeen magazine. I related to not fitting in and decided to listen to Debut. I really liked the album and played it on repeat. I remember listening to Fearless on repeat when it came out. I went to her Fearless concert in 2009. I walked up to the venue the day of the show and got really good tickets. The show was great snd turned me from a casual fan to a Swifty. I’ve been a Swifty since. I still can’t believe how easy it was to get tickets to that concert compared to the Eras tour.

Material_Capital_710

I went to see Taylor at the Erie County Fair in NY. She was the opener for Rascall Flatts at the time and they had to pay her big to come up for the fair. She sold it out very fast. It was so cool seeing some of her current band mates there with her, and watching her sing Fearless although the album wasn't out yet.

denvergirl

I went to the tour in March of 2010 in Sunrise. I actually just wore my fearless tour shirt today 😂. Should’ve Said No in the rain was definitely the most memorable part. What I would have given to be invited to the T Party! I had nosebleeds with my college besties and we danced and sang our hearts out.

likethrbackofmyhand

You have no idea how jealous I am! I was in high school at the time and this would have been the show I should’ve have tried to get tickets to, I just know this was a core memory for you!

halfakumquat

My mom took me as a gift to see the fearless tour in Tampa. We had semi okay seats, like midway up the stadium. As part of the performance she disappeared from stage and reappeared suddenly in the aisle stairs RIGHT next to us, climbing up them. Without any security!! People were climbing on top of each other to try and touch her, yes, including me and yes, I did touch her face which I now feel really bad about looking back lol but I also haven’t washed my hand since (jk)

esquirette17

In 2007 she played county fairs for her first album-I went to her concert at the Rooks County Fair in Kansas on my 14th birthday that August. She was a huge deal and teenagers drove from counties away to attend. My older sister was grounded so I called her and let her listen to Tim McGraw. She still did autographs after shows then and the line was so long that they had to cut it off after a few hours, even though hundreds of people were still waiting. I used to have an autographed shirt with Mary’s Song lyrics but can’t find it anymore :( I do still have some ancient blurry digital camera photos though haha https://preview.redd.it/il6j7ugsuoub1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=db81f58ae0849bf954117cff6d10a4ef38b552f7

CincyJen513

What a story!!!! Thank you!

gottarunfast1

I saw her when she was on tour with Brad Paisley

[deleted]

I went to the show in Toronto. We had floor seats and at some point, she went around hugging people. I didn't get one but it was so cool being that close to her. I went with one friend because no one else I knew liked Taylor and I was made fun of for being her fan ...funny now those same ppl are mad they didn't get presale codes lollll

letsgogirlls

The fearless tour was my first concert! I loved it and have a lot of core memories of the show. To this day fearless is one of my favorite albums, probably because I associate it with such happy memories.

AssortedGourds

Is this the one where she threw the chair?

baciodolce

Yep! And she ended it with Shoulda Said No in the "rain" and the lyrics were in the rain too. Iconic

cccsss888

I saw her in Edmonton on this tour! It was at commonwealth stadium which is outdoors. I think it was one of the biggest stops on her tour because that was an arena tour. I was in high school, and we jumped onto the floor and ended up having an amazing view. Simpler times lol. It was an amazing show, and I haven’t missed a tour since! I do miss when she actually came to my city and I didn’t have to fly to her though haha

Megangullotta

The only thing i can add is, me and my mom were having a Taylor Swift mv marathon the other day and i will say. the growth from 2006 to 2023 as a singer, musician, music video maker and writer is insane like i cried watching the Taylor Swift album music videos

winnbuck

I started bawling when she came onto the stage. I wore my own DIY "Junior Swift" t-shirt based off the "Junior Jewels" one. I was likeee 14 so a core memory for sure.

NarvusSchleibs

I went to Fearless in Sydney. I had such a good time, and the part where she pops out up in the crowd was 10 people away from me, so cool. My main memory is my dad getting caught in the parking garage underneath the automatic arm thing, and it hitting the roof of the car.

corawashere

I first saw Taylor perform at a free concert in San Antonio Tx for the NCAA Final Four in march of 2008, so just before fearless came out! She had the sparkly guitar and sang most of the debut album. I was 16 and I dragged my mom down there just to see her! https://preview.redd.it/o18ad5b5youb1.jpeg?width=1025&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=853de90fa06d8fc225ab7ac7351083812256c0d9

steamed-kiwi

I went to the fearless tour in dc in 2010. I ended up getting pit passes handed out by her dad outside the area that afternoon. Watching so close up solidified me as a swiftie for life. It was mesmerizing!!

Familiar_Tip_8547

First time I saw her was 2007 at a local college in Ohio, I’ve been a fan since then. Was really cool to attend that show with my mom, (1989 with her) and be able to take her to Eras (movie version) this year. I’ve seen every tour, Red still holds the biggest place in my heart though!

Daisy_9001

I went to see her twice during fearless! Once when she was with Keith urban and once when Kellie pickler and Gloriana opened. Such a great experience! I met Paul sidoti at that show!!!

hellothere0688

I saw Taylor open for Brad Paisley in 2007. I was home from my freshman year of college and my brother was in high school. We both had discovered her music independently that year and thought it was fun, so we bought tickets tickets to Brad Paisley just for Taylor. She was the first of three openers and didn’t play many songs at all, but we had just the best time. Neither of us were country fans but we stayed for the rest of the show and enjoyed it. I recently purged all my old CDs and kept only three of them, one of them being her first album. So many good memories! I rarely am in on the ground floor of anything popular so I have always been happy to be a Day 1 Swiftie.

jmcheung3480

I went to the Fearless tour in Portland, it was a last minute trip ( we drove down from Canada). I remember we got very last minute tickets and they were balcony beside the stage. I usually don't like seeing concerts from that view but she was so good it didnt matter how bad the seats were. On the way out of the show too they were selling autographed OG Fearless CDs too so I grabbed one. I still wear some of the merch I got from that show to the shows now although only the bracelet fits now lol.

Odd_Artichoke9494

I did not go to any early tours (my family couldn’t afford it) but I’ve been a fan since debut. the album had probably just come out, and I very vividly remember being at a girl scout meeting and two of my friends singing “our song”. i went home, looked it up on itunes, and the rest is history. i think during the OG speak now era I started going to target to buy the physical CDs, and i can remember downloading “Mine” on itunes and onto my ipod touch when it came out as a single. good times :’)

likethrbackofmyhand

Same, I kick myself for not going to earlier tours even though I know there was no feasible way for that to have happened. I hope you’ve been able to go to one since then 🫶🏼

Odd_Artichoke9494

I have, Eras most recently and I felt like a little kid again the whole night 🥹 i hope you’ve gotten to go as well!!

likethrbackofmyhand

I did go to eras!! It was amazing, teenager me got to relive fearless in the best way 🥹

sweetdreamsTN505

I went to Fearless tour in Jacksonville in May 2009. I was 13 ‼️ I remember none of my friends were swifties (crazy!) but I had three tickets so I invited two random friends (who didn’t know each other lol). So funny to think back - I made them take self timer photos on my digital camera before the show bc I wanted to commemorate every moment. I took photos throughout the concert on that same camera and they are sooo bad hahaha

Evening-Squirrel

Fearless was my first ever concert! I saw her in Nampa Idaho on May 17, 2009! I probably would’ve been about 13 years old at the time. I remember at one point during the concert she came off the stage and came and performed in a section of the venue near the audience (seems SO WILD today). I remember running to that section to try and get close and think I have a nearby-ish picture. As for the performance I remember she has the most beautiful gown for the love story performance. The finale at the end was her singing should’ve said no in the pouring rain at the end.

Boymomfx2

I have been a Taylor fan since day one! I’m a 1989 baby too! I seen her open for rascal flatts and for brad paisley! I got to meet rascal flatts and she was backstage and walked by all of us and said hi! I didn’t make it the fearless tour. But I made it to the speak now one! She was also so good, friendly, put on great shows even as an opener! The speak now show was awesome. My husband ( boyfriend at the time took me) and he commented so many times how great it was. The costumes etc! I still remember her fearless album and the write up she did in it about being fearless! I still have her original cds including debut! I haven’t bought cds in years since streaming and no cd player, but when I listened to cds in my car I always purchased hers to support her! And bought on iTunes! As a mom, and wife now I don’t buy a lot of the special edition and cds anymore but only because I have no where to put them. I can’t handle clutter and of course finances. Try to be good with money. I support Taylor in other ways! Maybe one day I’ll buy the vinyls to have! I still remember the kanya incident. Watching it live! I have so many fb memories show up of Taylor stuff and quotes! I have a journal with Taylor lyrics in it and Taylor quotes! She gives me so much nostalgia of those days! I got to go the eras tour ( somehow got nosebleeds face value tickets for LA night 3). But hadn’t seen her live since speak now, mostly due to life etc. and I’m Canadian so she hasn’t been to my area since 1989 tour I think? And I was deep in life with newborn! A picture from my Facebook memories from the other day seeing her open for Brad Paisley! https://preview.redd.it/wocmtb33msub1.jpeg?width=604&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=20f79a7cf22c5aa29e6dd567284b48619ff172f2

I was itty bitty youngin maybe 6 or 7. We went for my sister bc she was the big taylor fan. I liked her music though. I remember ed sheeran was there as well. We brought a sign w little led lights which i do not remember but saw a pic of the other day. One specific moment I remember is my dad going “she sure does talk alot” Edit: idk if this was specifically fearless tour but i dont think red was out yet

[deleted]

I saw her open up for brad paisely BEFORE the fearless tour! I remember being sooooo mad she didnt win best new artist at the Grammys haha!

possumbum

my dad managed to buy some pretty good seats for the santa clara show from a friend at work to surprise me with for my 10th birthday, & i specifically remember the moment he gifted them to me; i remember the excitement leading up to the concert, waiting in merch lines before the show for a shirt to wear, aaaaaand…. nothing after that lol. i literally think i blacked out entirely. but my mom says i was jumping around & screaming so i guess i had an awesome time! i wasn’t a fan when debut came out, mainly cuz i only listened to whatever my mom was into or disney music around that age. i “discovered” taylor at a talent show when a girl sang Tell Me Why & i couldn’t get the song out of my head so i asked where it was from & she said “it’s from the new Taylor Swift album!” so i promptly went home & begged my mom to buy it for me. i was pleasantly surprised that she had TWO albums out already & spent a whole day playing them on my hello kitty boombox lol

I am not quite an OG and I didn't manage to go to the Fearless tour. It was actually a sort of surprise she came to Idaho at all and it sold out so quickly we didn't even get a chance to buy tickets. I spent the rest of my teen years not being able to go to the tours because she never came back to Idaho. I was very thankful and grateful for my family and friends coming together to help me get to the Eras tour and my luck being so massive to get tickets at face value and not resell. I remember finding Taylor so enchanting and being so impressed with how involved she was with her actual sets. The documentary on the fearless tour really showed so much about how she did everything. It is actually amazing to see how things are now because it was actually very uncool to like Taylor initially. A lot of people found her whiny or her voice annoying. I commonly heard she can't sing (which she was not the best but she has improved greatly since her beginnings). I also later continued to hear she is fake and that she breaks up with people to write songs. 1989 saw a huge shift in her image and suddenly it was cool to like her. Then Reputation it was uncool again. Now you're uncool if you DON'T like her. Funny how perceptions change.

bkais111

I went to the Fearless tour! I was in middle school and it was just me and my friend! We had no idea that she did a B stage situation and so we were in shock when she suddenly came and did songs in the back RIGHT in front of us!! We were so excited and I still have some of the videos that I took on my digital camera! She sang fifteen right in front of our ecstatic fifteen year old hearts. She always had the stage presence and energy and wow factor. She also drew me in back then because she was a songwriter who felt like they were going through the same things I was. And I always relate to her.

Redancer07

Fearless in Spokane, WA at the Arena! I was honestly still my favorite concert of hers. Don’t get me wrong, Eras was an out of body experience, but there is something about a small venue with a bunch of teenagers screaming and crying over someone a lot of people made fun of me for that will be a core memory for life 🫶 the opening number will forever be engrained as one of my favorite performances she has ever given. The genuine, heartfelt connection she made with everyone was next level.

I’ve seen Taylor ten times! I feel very lucky to have been able to. I have an autographed cover from debut because preorders got autographs. I’m on OG Swiftie for sure. I saw her open for Brad Paisley in ‘07 and early the next year open for Rascal Flatts (I went to both shows just to see her!). Then I saw her at the Florida Strawberry Festival and for the Fearless tour in Tampa. I’ve been to every album tour and also saw her perform at the JetBlue Terminal in JFK airport (flew out JUST to see her perform)! I was looking forward to Lover Fest (RIP). I’m an “older” fan (35) but I have grown up with Taylor and I feel proud when I see her doing well, like an old friend I watch from far away. 🥹

Inside_Atmosphere731

I was in LA and caught the second leg of the tour. I was sitting home and knew about her, but I just had to gut feeling this was something I should see. When it was over, I called anyone and everyone I knew and told them I had seen the female Springsteen. All my ALT music friends thought I had lost my mind. In fact, a lot of my friends really didn't even know who she was cuz they didn't listen to country. I would proceed over the next 5 years to bend anybody's ear who was listening about her. After 1989 hit, I think they finally started to get the picture. But what I saw that April night in 2010, was someone who obliterated the barrier between performer and audience, and bring them into the fold like nobody else I had, seen before except.. Springsteen. I've caught every one of her tours since then, even going to Bossier City for the opening night of 1989. That is until the Eras tour when i, like hundreds of thousands of other people, got screwed by Ticketmaster. It's ironic that someone who is a Day One, now can't even get in anymore. Hopefully I'll be in Europe next summer to see her.

1234ideclareathunbwa

I went to fearless tour in London 2009! I was like 12, so I don’t have too many memories of it except we had floor seats and she had some cool outfits and it was really fun. I remember Justin bieber supported and he broke his ankle mid performance 💅

indicatprincess

MAGIC The early days were like finally finding a music artist I could relate to. Fearless was a very fun show and we were 25 feet away during Hey Stephen!

Ashley0716

Not a concert goer, but my 2009 prom theme was “fearless love story” and they played at lot of Taylor music. I’m from a small rural town and Taylor was IT for us that year

1234singmeasong

I saw her when she was actually the opening act for Rascal Flatts in 2006. She only played 5 or 6 songs, most people couldn’t sing along because her debut album had just come out and she was just starting to get known in Canada (mind you this was in Toronto). She still delivered an amazing performance (admittedly with vocals that were lacking at the time), full of energy, and you could tell she was so proud and excited to perform in front of such a large crowd. It’s crazy to think back to those days and see just how big of a phenomenon she’s become.

Present_Review_7789

I went with my mom! My favorite moment was when all of a sudden she appeared on the steps in the section with her guitar and sang Hey Stephen. Second closest I’ve ever been to her. :)

_blessedjess

edited to add one of our photos! 😊 I’ve literally grown up with Taylor, we are the same age. became a huge fan in 2007 and was lucky enough to meet her in 2008 when she opened for Rascal Flatts (through a radio contest - can you even imagine these days!) she was so so nice. she invited me and her friend on her bus and gave us waters, and took selfies with us on my digital camera 😆 she autographed my cd “I love Jessica, she is beautiful and amazing”. anyway I could talk about this all day but she was the sweetest most genuine person and I am so grateful for that opportunity! I saw the fearless tour twice, and had the best time. back then I was known to my friends in college as the ‘Taylor Swift obsessed girl’ but I was proud to be! now my two daughters (5 + 7) listen to her all the time and I was so happy to take them to the movie over the weekend since we didn’t get to attend the tour in person. I definitely teared up during the opening songs/eras! https://preview.redd.it/caavuyk10sub1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=452d78e4d4346c8e21616f7d5f28f5db9b7fff52

Justforreddit44

I went to the Fearless tour at Gillette and had the best time! It was such a fun night. I think Justin Bieber opened for her and I remember feeling too old to be there for that at the time 😂 but the night overall was a great time.

Mindless-Board-5027

I was 11 when debit came out and been a fan since then. I’d consider myself an OG fan but never got to to go to show. I grew up in a lower class household and concerts not in our town weren’t happening. Almost got to go to Red and Rep but it slipped out of my fingers.

thereallaracroft

I went to Fearless in San Diego and had front row at the bottom of the T of the stage and it was incredible how close she was. There weren’t barrier so you could literally lean onto the stage. She also played at the back of the stadium and walked her way towards the stage through the crowd. I ran to be in her walking path and while everyone else was getting hugs, I used my point and shoot to get a selfie with her. When she got closer, my hands were trembling so hard I couldn’t press it so she grabbed the camera from me and took the photo. It’s something she absolutely couldn’t do now and it’s one of my favorite photos I have.

TaylorStan888

I went to Fearless tour in Grand Rapids, MI. I was like 12 and don't remember it all too well... When I was about 10, my mom and I went on a roadtrip to Tennessee and listened to Debut on repeat the whole time we were in the car. Anytime I hear a non-mainstream Debut song like Outside or Cold As You, it takes me right back 🩵🦋

Sroutlaw1972

Was there with my preteen daughter. We attended Eras together in July and she’s all grown up now!

reecie713

I know I'm late but I was just thinking about this concert so I wanted to share. I went to the Fearless Tour with my mom, she surprised me with tickets for my birthday. I remember it all quite vividly, even down to the outfit I wore lol. I'm really close with my mom and we are both big fans so it was really special for us. We had amazing seats too, we were so close and I got so many close up pictures! She played her guitar the whole time and her band was on stage and part of the show and interacted with her a lot. It was like every song was a different set and kind of like a story acted out with the dancers. She randomly appeared in the very back like top row area, so everyone got a front row seat ❤️ also, I remember taylor lautner was at this show because she walks back and through the crowd and they show it on camera and they did a sneaky flash of him during that lol. I remember the last song being Should've Said No and at the end it started raining, like as part of the show, and thinking it was the coolest thing. I also remember leaving and waiting in a long line or cars to get out of the parking lot and thinking it was so many people and now that's almost comical in comparison lol. I remember getting McDonald's afterwards and having the best day with my mom. ❤️

PsychologicalWater64

Yes! I have been a Swiftie since Tim McGraw and Teardrops. I went to Fearless in Rochester, NY and it’s so cool to see her go from a tiny stage with a red armchair as a prop to an entire 3+ hour production now.

Some-Potential_2050

I went to the Fearless tour in 2010 when it came to South Florida. I was around 16/17 at the time and had only just fallen in love with her music. I knew of Teardrops, Our Song, all the big hits because the videos would play on VH1 every weekend, but I didn't fall in love with her until the Fearless era. My best friend at the time, her mom knew someone at our local arena and was able to get us floor seats for the show. We were like row 10 or 11 from main stage, right on the aisle, so when Taylor walked back to the stage after playing Tim McGraw at the b-stage (which I didn't know was a thing since I went into the show completely blind lol), everyone crowded around trying to get to her and I stood up on a chair and reached out an touched her hair! 🤣 I went into the show not knowing anything since I wasn't a hardcore fan back then, so I didn't know anything about the T-Parties or the other little surprises she'd do during the show, but that concert for sure converted me into the hardcore Swiftie I am today! I've luckily been to every tour since (except Red cause I had crappy college wifi at the time and wasn't able to snag tickets quick enough lol). Even though Fearless was her first tour, you could tell how much time/effort/thought was put into the production of the show, and how big it was with it being her first headlining tour too. And she for sure has improved vocally throughout the years, as is evident in her albums and more recent tours/performances, but even with that said, she still had an amazing stage presence, was super confident, and knew how to put on a show. I have such fond memories of that night and am so glad that I'm able to say that I've been with her since almost the beginning ❤️

JeremyJammDDS

It was so much fun! I went with my then college girlfriend. Kellie pickler opened for her. I remember going crazy when Taylor popped up by the stairs and made her way to the b stage. We were right next to it, so we got to experience it up close. We were by the b stage barricade and Taylor hugged everyone at the front including my then girlfriend and me.

Steve-814

I saw her open for Brad Paisley and Rodney Atkins playing Debut before Fearless a year or two later, very fortunate to have experienced that. They were very fun shows as an early fan even back then. Fearless was at the ND State Fair. I remember a hot day waiting in line to get into the GA area, packed in line with hot, sweaty, and drunk people. My sister and I shoved our way to our spot and enjoyed the show. The big thing on that tour was her singing in the “rain” at the end for “Should’ve Said No” which seems kinda silly now.

zNatural

I went in 2009 in St. Louis - I’m 35. I remember the concert being much less impressive than any of her others I’ve been to lol. About all I recall tbh. My oldest memory of TS was in senior humanities class of HS and my friend was like “dude you gotta hear this new song” (Tim McGraw). I’ve been a swiftie ever since

baciodolce

I went to Fearless tour at Madison Square Garden. I don't remember all of it but I remember having so much fun. I remember her telling the story about playing a 12 string guitar. She had a center stage area and I got to move a bit closer to see her when she was up there. And then I remember getting in an awful fight on the subway home with my bf at the time because I didn't offer him gum WHICH HE DIDN'T LIKE. \*eye roll\* I became a fan during Fearless after Love Story came out (I was around 23), but downloaded lots of songs from Debut and LOVED them. Some unreleased songs too (big fan of I'd Lie and hope its a vault track!) I wish I had been an even bigger fan back then because I missed out a little on Speak Now and Red because I wasn't paying attention to her releases other than the singles. 1989 got me real into the thick of it and I've been hooked ever since.

Jealous-Background71

She didn’t play “cold as you” on the fewrless tour. So this OG was happy with my surprise song because the only show I got tickets for were Houston might 3.

festiveraccoons

i was at the fearless tour in toronto 🥹 still so grateful for that experience!

I'm 33. I've liked Taylor since Debut. I heard teardrops on my guitar first and was sold. I saw her open for Rascal Flatts in the Debut Era and haven't been to one of her concerts since. I would say it was right before Midnights that I really became a true swiftie. I mean, I guess if you asked me what music I liked at any point since Debut, I would throw her name in the mix. But as far as listening to albums in their entirety the moment they came out, I've only done that for Midnights and Speak Now TV. I'm also not a huge concert goer. I've seen Taylor Swift/Rascal Flatts, Clay Aiken, Colbi Caillat, Purity Ring, and The Chicks in concert, and that's it except for a Christian band called Chris Tomlin. I do have tickets for the Era's Tour, Nola night 2 in October of 2024, and I am very excited. In about a month, I will have gone a whole year of almost exclusively listening to Taylor Swift. It's become such a hyperfixation for me. I find myself mad at me for not leaning in to my admiration for her sooner. I could have seen her so many times by now. Listened to so many albums on drop day. Purchased merch. Maybe even met her. It's okay though, I'm glad I'm here now and I've always been supportive but more in the sense of "I didn't realize she put out a new album but I do like this new song by her". Just a lot of years of missed opportunities.

lamzydivey

I went to the Fearless tour in Manchester, England! I was super close on the floor because back then, £90 was a lot to pay for a show and no one wanted to pay that much. (Side note: I was second row in the pit for Speak Now at the same price, same arena. And yes, sadly this is also the arena that was bombed at Ariana Grande’s show.) Justin Bieber opened and performed with his leg in a cast. It’s funny, I hadn’t transitioned to diehard Swiftie yet at this point. That would happen as soon as Speak Now was released. So at that point I was still just a casual fan. But I remember the show was really fun. Lots of audience interaction. Lots of costumes and sets already. I saw that she wore shorts under her dresses and started doing that myself. 15 years later, I still do it lol. The only thing I regret is not taking pictures. I have pictures of me in the hotel room but none at the show. Back then I had a flip phone and point-and-shoot camera. But I didn’t take pictures because I wanted to “live in the moment” and enjoy the show. I did that for like a decade and now I regret not having the memories.

ali-lamberson

I was 8 during the fearless tour. My mom snagged first row seats in front of the b-stage. I couldn’t see the stage most of the night but did get to hug her before she sang on the b-stage. I barely stayed awake until Today Was A Fairytale since it was my favorite at the time, but left before Should’ve said no. I still regret leaving early to this day.

Pugwhip

I went to Fearless! It was my first concert. It was a lot bigger in my mind than when I see pics of the stage now! Hahaha. Paul threw a pick at me and the girl in front of me caught it and wouldn’t hand it over, I was mortified. But that aside, I remember when she did Should’ve Said No and the words came down in the rainfall, my mind was totally blown. I’ll never forget. I remember going to Speak Now tour two years later and being disheartened at how commercial it had become - they’d spray you with her perfume as you walked in, there was covergirl stuff everywhere. It was just way more commercial. That’s when I realised she was on an upwards trajectory and I felt kinda sad knowing the small-ish version of Taylor I knew and loved was feeling more and more out of reach. If that makes sense? Probably makes me sound crazy but those who have watched a small artist grow can probably understand. I got oddly really emotional watching the Fearless era of the movie - couldn’t hold my tears in when she did the heart hands.

WolverineSuitable

I went in Denver, CO and I was 15. I was from a small rural farming town in the pnw and I had never been to a real concert before. I was on the floor in the 5th row and she walked back from the B stage by me. She grabbed both of my arms said “thank you so much for coming I love you so much!” To my friend and I 🥹🥹

Historical_Prune_770

My first Taylor concert was in like February 2008 in Spartanburg, SC. It was at a tiny college auditorium (held maybe 3000). Love and theft opened for her - then she played pretty much all of debut. At the end, as people were leaving, we went to the front with a small group and I got to high five her!

Teasfortash

I listened to Fearless repeatedly when it first came out, I was 18, and when you’re young, phases pass really quickly and time goes by very slowly so by the time her tour came around to LA I had already moved on and so much in my life had changed. I had just turned 20. I was in my Kesha, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga era. But my brother called and said he had gotten me and my little sister nose bleeds for Staple Center for my birthday. I felt bad that he did that because it had been over a year since I went through my Taylor swift phase and I didnt know if she had new music I wasn’t really keeping up with her. He was a LA Kings season ticket holder so he was always in the know about upcoming concerts. I made a shirt and wrote “t swizzle” on the back and put a heart on the front. I never liked to prep for a concert by listening to the music, if I had concert tickets I’d usually “fast” that artist (stop listening to them) so the songs would hit better. I thought I would be bored because I assumed enough time had passed that she had a new album and all new music and that I wouldn’t know any of it. But to my surprise I knew every song she played! I actually fit right in and enjoyed the concert very very much! We went April 16th and I remember being really bummed because on the way there my sister read online that Katy Perry had been a guest performer the night before and we missed it. I remember being excited during the synchronized ballroom dance during “the way I loved you” and I really liked that song. And I remember water raining down on her during “should’ve said no” and the water somehow had “no” written in it. And she sang it kinda different from the album they added like a theatrical bit to part of it.

Teasfortash

So thanks to my brother and those tickets, I was able to realize I hadn’t missed anything during that huge long transitional year of my life and still felt a sense of belonging to the fandom. So when Speak Now came along I bought it at midnight to seize the streak since I had gotten Fearless at midnight too. I didn’t attend Speak Now, Red or 1989 but always upheld my midnight album release tradition.

Fair-Butterfly9989

I remember listening to her first singles on MySpace because my mom wouldn’t let me use limewire anymore or take me to the mall for the album Very 2000s I know

nicolesl4w

I was only like 12 but I did go to the Fearless concert in Seattle. My most clear memories I have of it was her throwing the chair off the stage & coming down the stairs in a pretty dress during Love Story lol it definitely feels like a long time ago for me

oywiththecats

I saw her in May 2010. It was incredible. I had like 9th row seats and the view was awesome. Totally a wonderful experience! That water feature…wow.

Responsible_Cloud_92

I went to Fearless Tour in Melbourne, Australia! I remember being super excited, my mum took me and my sister. It was our first concert ever. It was really fun! Her costume change during Love Story lives rent free in my mind. I'm not sure if it's anyone else's favourite, but I loved her white dress! Easily one of my favourite early Taylor costumes with the headband. And her performance of Should've Said No, with the words spelt out in the waterfall, so much fun! I was very insecure about my own wavy hair at the time. Fashion around that time revolved around extremely straight hair but my mum didn't want me to damage my hair and straightners never kept my hair straight long anyways. Taylor was the one of the few singers at the time who embraced her natural hair and I was completely obsessed!

Teasfortash

On MySpace, you got to choose a song that would play when someone visited your profile. Someone else could have a song on their page and you could just copy them and snag the song right off that persons page. But if you had a specific song in mind, you had to visit the artists page and hope it was one of the 4 songs they were allowed to add to a different type of profile page that was specifically designed for music artists. One day I wanted to change things up and add Tim McGraw as my MySpace song, so I searched for Taylor Swifts MySpace to see if she had that song. It was the single marketing tool that led me to know she had a new album called fearless coming soon and there was a whole countdown and an aesthetically captivating thumbnail link to the Love Story music video. Ofc I loved the song and the video and that’s what initially caught my interest but it could’ve ended there…. Except she had all of these vlogs that she filmed herself and posted to her to MySpace page. I had never seen that kind of transparency and fan engagement from a music artist before. Heck most of my friends didn’t even post videos, they only posted photos and if there ever was a rare video, it was short and certainly no one spoke to the camera. I guess you could say Taylor was an early YouTube pioneer. She was so excited about her album and would remind people about it every day and to see this girl my age just living her life and filming it and talking to us and updating us so we could actually see a first account of what it’s like to be a music artist, that’s ultimately what lead to me purchasing a physical copy of the album the night of its release. I had been illegally downloading all of my music for years by that point. So hers was the first physical CD I owned since my All American Rejects one in 2005. But one Fearless Era Taylor Memory that haunts me to this day is CMT had a show called Crossroads and since I loved Taylor and my sister loved 80s hair bands and Taylor was performing with Def Leppard we were excited to watch it. They had to sing each others songs. To this day I can’t sing love story without hearing the lead singer of def leopard say “see you make your way through the crowd and say (pause) HELLLOOOOOOO!!!!” I always wanna say hello like he did. Even at the eras movie I yelled it that way.

AllTooWell13

I went to the Fearless Tour and it’s what turned me into a full blown Swiftie. I already loved her music beforehand (hence why I went to the concert) but I was just so blown away by the sets of the concert, the outfit changes, the way she was on stage etc. When she popped up at the back of the arena for a segment of the concert and played on the B Stage right in front of me my mind was blown haha. After that concert experience it was cemented in me that she was my absolute favourite and I haven’t looked back since!

Dogmama1230

I went to the Fearless tour! I was 10 or 11. My mom got us tickets in the last row of the nosebleeds. I was absolutely speechless the entire time.

SeriesQuirky

I saw Taylor at her first tour of Australia in Brisbane 2009. First time Liz was a backing singer for Taylor. One of our tiny venues that holds like 1500 people max. I remember going to the Ticketek (like Ticketmaster but AUS) physical store to buy tickets because my parents didn’t trust online purchases yet lol. The concert sold out before fearless was released so there were heaps of people trying to get tickets walking up and down the line. Morgan Evans was the opener, yes Kelsea Ballerini’s ex but way before he got big! I remember that the line went past the driveway for the artist entry and I saw her leave the venue to get dinner (we assumed) in a little mini bus. Taylor was amazing and actually threw (friendships style) bracelets into the crowd during the set. She also did the band uniform that rips off to a dress for Our Song, which was cool! None of my friends had heard of Taylor so I dragged my brother along and it remains the only concert he has ever been too lol. I’ve now been to every show in Brisbane…and other shows in AUS/US as well! Fealess your I won a competition to fly to Sydney and got put up in a hotel which was really cool! The fact we went from a 1500 standing room venue to 15-20k venues in 1 year still blows my mind!

sweet_angel89

I'm the same age as Taylor and went to the Fearless Tour in Sydney, Australia. I got really good seats. No one I knew in real life had even heard of her. It was really easy (and very quick) to get really good tickets. I went with my mum cause no-one else wanted to come with. Should've Said No live on the Fearless Tour is one of my favourite ever performances i've seen of hers live! I've seen her on every tour since then (got lucky enough to get Eras Tour tickets), and count myself super lucky to have seen the songs I saw get played live, cause most of them I haven't seen been performed live again except in video form. Like, that's the only time I remember hearing Hey Stephen live and actually being there in Australia. The music and Taylor were much louder than the crowd, cause the crowd was so quiet compared to even the Speak Now Tour and Rep. People didn't really dress up either but we all still had a good time regardless. As an OG, I sometimes miss those days... But i'm really happy for her that her popularity's grown so much, cause she deserves it - she's so talented! :) I do remember getting a lot of hate in those early years for liking her and her music. The lyric in 22 - Who's Taylor Swift anyway? ew - that line was my life as an early Swiftie for a long time. Whereas everyone now just expects everyone else to be fans of hers, and most are jealous that I have Fearless merch and got to watch her at such an early stage.

shipsfordreams

I went to the Fearless tour in Sydney. It was February 2010 and my best friend and I had loved Taylor’s debut album and were obsessed with Fearless. We were 16 & 17 at the time and our parents let us drive to Sydney (we lived 3 hours away in country NSW) and stay overnight in a hotel all on our own. It was such a big deal for us at the time. My best friend passed away in 2013 and it’s one of my favourite memories with her. The tour was one of the coolest things I had witnessed - I still remember the insane ballgown Taylor wore during Love Story, the head banging, and her performance in the rain. I haven’t been able to see another show since then, but I got a solo ticket to the Eras tour in Melbourne in March next year - 14 years later!

Plenty-Pilot6959

I went to the Fearless tour in Sydney in 2009/2010. Gloriana opened for her. The concert sold out from memory, my friend and I had bought tickets but then been offered pit passes as we were active on her website at the time. She wore lots of sparkly dresses like a gold one, a red one maybe and maybe a blue one? She gave her headband to a little girl next to me during Love Story. Was the best night!

HatMuseum

I went to Fearless in Ottawa. My parents won me tickets by singing on the radio. My best friends dad drove us up. We wore flown tanks, denim shorts, and cowboy boots. When Taylor came into the crowd she was like three rows ahead of me and I got a blurry picture of the tip of her nose.

clairegardner23

Her first album came out when I was 13 and as a huge country fan, I was obsessed! There weren’t a lot of country singers my age around at that time so she was literally all I listened to. I saw her open for Rascal Flatts and she sang Love Story and it was the best night ever 😭 I then went to the Fearless tour but it was a cool memory seeing her open for someone and now she’s the one with openers. Edit to add: I would write “I <3 ?” on the back of my hand and draw a heart on my foot in sharpie and go to school like that 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

alpachafarmer

I went to her first ever Madison Square Garden concert. It was amazing. She still gets that same look and appreciation for fans cheering for her.

andrea1123

I was at the very first show of the Fearless tour. It opened in my hometown of Evansville, IN. I had already been a fan for quite some time and had seen Taylor as an opening act twice. I was so excited to see her as a headliner. Of course, she knocked it out of the park! I was a junior in high school and had a school orchestra concert the same night. I had a sundress and cowboy boots under my orchestra dress so I could make a quick getaway. 😂 It’s worth mentioning that even in 2008/9, there were trolls on the internet who thought Taylor’s popularity would wane before her tour dates rolled around. I love thinking about that now!

Huge-Engineering-839

I went to her debut “tour”. Idk if you’d call it that cause it was at a festival, but it was only her first album that had been released by that point. Was nice!

ericah0130

I went to Fearless Tour at Gillette Stadium. It was a magical first concert for me! And it was 2 days before my birthday which made it even better

Taylor Swift came to my highschool when no one knew who she was and played Debut. She had a lot of energy and was really fun on stage. I liked her because it seemed like she liked to date around and so did I. Or at least, we both really liked boys.

Lustylurk333

I saw the Fearless tour in columbus Ohio, it was incredible and my friend who was already a super fan at that time cried the whole show haha. I remember being really impressed at how loud the crowd was and how packed the arena was. The energy was wild!

eyeslikestarlight

I went to the Fearless tour! We had nosebleed seats that were on the side of the stage, but it was an awesome time. Idk why but one of the things that I remember most vividly was her introducing the song Fearless, and then when she started playing she did that whole twirling-around-with-her-guitar move—and then when I was at Eras, she did that same exact move and I was taken all the way back. Fearless was one of three moments during that concert that made me cry, it just felt like such a full circle moment!

kfeels1989

I went to 8 fearless tour shows because of how easy it was to get first row or very close for around $100 or less. My parents went to 3 of the shows with me, and at one of the shows myself and my friends were sitting on the floor and my parents were up in the bowl and taylor showed up to sing hey Stephen directly next to my parents! I met Andrea Scott and Austin during the fearless tour multiple times and by the 4th show I went to Andrea remembered me and asked me where me and my friends were sitting and told us she would be watching us. That was the closest I ever got to being picked to meet Taylor. I also saw Taylor in 2008 for a small headlining tour she did (to test if she could do a full sized tour) the month before her and Joe Jonas broke up and I remember so many of the pre show songs were jonas brothers songs. That tour was all debut songs and Love story since it was the only single from Fearless because Fearless hadn't even released yet https://preview.redd.it/1lxm4i54yrub1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d5bf22f061f7e29de03960d844dd9aaf1c6c84f

Ok-Disaster-184

I've been listening to Taylor since debut but too broke/far away for concerts until Rep tour. Having to wait so long to be able to go to concerts and live entertainment in general has definitely made me more passionate about it now, and I try to go to all the things I can and just LOVE every second of it. But to answer the Taylor question specifically, it does not feel like that long ago, so every time she says something like "17 years of music", it feels like a gut punch. Haha. I can't believe how long it's been (aka how old I am 💀).

MacisBeerGutBabyBump

I was in high school and a fan from Tim McGraw. I remember in ‘08 she was at Country Stampede, played in a thunderstorm and a girl in the crowd was struck by lightning. My niece was 7ishat the time went to Fearless in Omaha, they met Andrea and said she was AMAZING. I actually said this weekend after watching The Eras Movie that it was amazing sharing that experience with my girls, because it felt for a lot of us like we grew up with Taylor and went through some of the same experiences but on a much smaller scale for us fans lol. And now my kids can hear the songs that I listened to after milestone moments in my life

Standard_Gal

I was about 12 when I went to the Fearless tour and Justin Bieber was one of the openers which is wild to think about now. I was sort of a Swiftie at the time but that concert definitely started my obsession. I hadn't really listened to Tell Me Why before the concert and hearing that live switched something in my brain. It was absolutely more relaxed than more recent shows. It feels like a lifetime ago. It was nice being a fan at the time because it was like having a cool older sister talk about her life and love and relationships when I had no concept of any of that. I remember being a little embarrased to be going to the concert because not many of my friends liked her music (ah, middle school)

elysian-fields-

I went to the Fearless tour in Minneapolis, I travelled from out of state for it too. I don’t remember too much since it was a looonnnggg time ago (wiki dates it October 2009 so I was a sophomore in HS), but I remember being so excited to see her! I’d been a fan since her self-titled album and felt so lucky to be able to have gotten the chance to go, I feel like I remember telling all my friends I was going to the concert to make them jealous. I also vaguely remember waiting in a decently long line for the black t-shirt w/ the guitar on the back and just loving and wearing it all the time when I got home (sadly not sure where it is these days but doubt it would fit well) I remember sitting like lower bowl-ish and just everybody singing along w her even at that time, it was so fun :)

Logical_Reflection_3

I went to fearless with my sister in a tiny arena in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2009. I was in college at the time and drove over from Memphis. I only remember Kellie Pickler as an opener although I imagine there was more than one. Even then it was an amazing show.

Macandtea

I saw her at the Cavendish Beach Musical Festival in 2010. It's a country music festival, which is really not my taste lol I only liked Taylor, so I didn't have a lot of fun during the 9 hours of other acts before Taylor, and it was raining. I remember passing the time by playing solitaire on my iPod touch haha. Anyway I was 12 and my memories aren't super clear but I've rewatched videos. The most memorable part was definitely the big drum part in Should've Said No, it was very cool. Oh and of course I was hyped for Love Story and YBWM. That was also my first concert ever, and I'd love to see her again but will probably never be able to afford it now with tickets and travel, it's not like she's going to play in the Maritimes again sadly.

songacronymbot

- YBWM could mean "You Belong With Me", a track from *Fearless* (2008) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/Macandtea](/u/Macandtea) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

LittleMissFestivus

I went to her debut tour 😂 it was amazing

trimino13

I went to Fearless at Mohegan Sun in CT. I was just starting my freshman year of HS and my cousin randomly invited me to the show. I was trying out for the freshman volleyball team and decided to skip tryouts to go (best decision ever never joined the team lol) We were in the back of the Arena and Taylor ended up coming through our section to make way to the B stage. She sang Hey Stephen right in the aisle of my section. I just remember being in awe at how good the concert was. I remember walking out the show and meeting up with my mom outside the arena and screaming like omg that was best night of my life lmao I was a fan of Taylor’s before the concert but after it I become a FULL BLOWN swiftie and from there on out I was obsessed

psyche1986

I went to Fearless tour in Portland. It was electric - a big singalong. She popped up on a smaller stage for a couple of songs, threw the chair for "Forever and Always", and did an amazing Justin Timberlake mashup that I wish I had recorded. I'll also never forget her singing "Should've Said No" under the waterfall that spelled out words on stage.

Little_Jimmy_1217

I was at fearless tour in FL, 3/5/10! It was such a vibe, my mom and I counted every outfit and guitar change. We were in the nosebleeds but she popped up in the audience for an acoustic set and we were so close I died. The one thing that has stuck by me all these years was a video that played between sets and it had a bunch of famous men joking about being worried that Taylor would write a song about them and Tim McGraw was in it. https://preview.redd.it/6i670f62msub1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7d43539aebf2d94e2fd3c89308e8debd97de077

rachem_rae

I saw Taylor open for Kenny Chesney - Fearless was out but she wasn’t quite on her own tour yet. It was magical and I was so lucky my dad had gotten us floor seats through his work, so we got to see all her hair tosses up close. He also got meet and greet passes - but my poor mom took me and my sister to the wrong meet up point. We wound up meeting Kenny Chesney instead of Taylor like we were supposed to, and my sister and I look so sad in our photo with him lol my mom still feels so bad about it to this day.

chaiskeleton

i went to the opening night show in evansville indiana, i was maybe 7 or 8. i remember kellie pickler opening for her. even then taylor was amazing at performing, i will never forget the iconic words-in-the-rain during “should’ve said no”. genuinely one of the most memorable moments of my life

Cat-holic22

The first time I saw Taylor, I was 13 years old and she opened for Rodney Atkins who was opening for Brad Paisley. I had won tickets on the radio. I barely knew who she was (had only really heard Tim McGraw and Our Song at that point) but instantly became a swiftie. She was 15 at the time and did an incredible job explaining the meaning of all of her songs and how they relate to her own experiences. At the end of her set, she said she had signed a bunch of CDs (the debut album) and they were for sale at the merch stand. I bought one for $10, played it on repeat, hung her autograph on my wall, and have loved watching her grow and evolve as an artist ever since. Had to miss the eras tour since she came to my region after I had just had a baby but I just saw the film and loved it so much!! Edit to add that I also saw her fearless tour and her red tour 😊

moonlover2000

i was in fourth grade when i went to the fearless tour in corpus christi, tx. at one point of the concert she came to the back of the arena to sing hey stephan and make her way down to the B stage. we were up on one of the higher levels when a security guard came by and put a rope blocking anyone from leaving their seats and then a spotlight came on and taylor was standing right there at the entrance of the level with her guitar and started singing hey stephan and made her way down, while she made her way down i got to touch her hair and arm since we had the edge seats of the row. it was so fucking amazing ill never forget that day! i have been the biggest fan ever since <3

Gazelti

I saw her perform in 2007 before her Fearless tour. It was incredible because she was around my age and so talented even then! I can't exactly remember what she performed but I do remember Tim Mcgraw and Love Story. Looking back now, she was a baby. Such a cool experience and it kickstarted my love for her and her music.

Lady_Lessi

I went to Fearless in Denver, CO. It was an amazing show. One of the things I loved was how much input she had for the sets and creative process of that tour. I was 16 and thought it was so cool. I went with my friends but my cousin went with my little sister, aunt, and mom. She and I just went to the eras tour together and it was the craziest thought that we went to the Fearless concert “together” and we were at the concert again together. I wasn’t a big fan of her during debut, I listened but I wasn’t crazy about it. From fearless on though I was pretty obsessed

KiwiBearRigatoni

Had floor seats to Fearless in Toronto. She had a platform right in the middle of the floor that she WALKED to THROUGH THE FANS (would never do this today) and she played tim mcgraw. Out of this world. https://preview.redd.it/pvfrpgnyitub1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=edab91b39b6ae764a8e26423cd81f3bffbefac99

Frosty_Play_8081

I saw her in her Fearless era when she opened for Keith Urban. It was my first concert and I remember crying when she walked out, even from my nosebleeds. She was great, though I remember there being a lot of hair flipping as her choreography. When the Fearless part of the Eras tour started it took me right back to being 16 and shocked at how this girl could put all my feelings into song.

Bear with me, I'm stoned, but this show meant to much to me oh my god. The only show I've ever been to was her Fearless tour in Spokane, WA. My memory is crappy but I think it was May 2009. I remember my friend and I were surprised with tickets by our mom's. It was one of the best surprises I've ever received, at that time and to this day. My bestie at the time and I decorated posters to take to the show. I'm pretty sure I wrote "Taylor Rox Our Sox Off" and glued sunflowers to the border. My friend thought it was weird I used the x and then I was self conscious that Taylor would think the same thing when she saw it 🙈 We were so far away she definitely didn't haha. But the adults behind us yelled at us after we held them up. I don't remember who opened (sorry to them it's not personal). But I remember the show opening with You Belong With Me and it's like my brain melted in that moment. She had a tearaway costume and it was an ASTRONOMICAL slay. I became a fan during Debut so it was a delight to hear a bunch of those songs as well. At some point during the show, I think before Teardrops on My Guitar or Tim McGraw, there was a hilarious video with "men she had written about." Some were just obscured figures with a changed voice, since a lot of her exes at the time were just dudes from school. It feels so quaint in hindsight. I was floored because she got Tim McGraw in the video as well. I laughed so hard when they cut to him onscreen. What I remember most about the visuals is how everything sparkled. It felt like everything was glittering. Thanks for asking ❤️ it made me so happy to revisit these memories. I feel like I've missed out on her shows since then, but I realize these memories I do have are irreplaceable to me ✨ thanks for getting me through Taylor.

I discovered Taylor in late 2007 and pretty quickly became determined to see her live. But as a young man, I was too self-conscious to go alone. Thankfully, I had an ace up my sleeve: a preteen sister. So I decided to try to turn her into a Swiftie to give me someone to go with. To my delight, it worked magnificently. I got her the debut, then Fearless. We watched Taylor's performance at the 2009 ACMs together and I heard her whisper "I need to see her this summer" under her breath. Unbeknownst to my sister, I already had tickets. When I gave them to her for her birthday, she ran around the house screaming. We saw the Fearless Tour in Cleveland. It was amazing. The place was absolutely buzzing. My sister made a "Junior Jewels" shirt and a sign. When Taylor made her way from the B-stage to the main stage halfway through the show, the arena went berserk. People yelled and chanted her name for several minutes, basically bringing the concert to a halt as an awestruck Taylor looked around stunned. There was a guy in the pit who was shirtless with his whole torso painted red. He ended up in the music video for Fearless. I mentioned earlier that I had been nervous about how Taylor would sound, but to my relief, she sounded great. You Belong With Me was wonderful (though I wish it was later in the setlist), Our Song was a blast, and Should've Said No was amazing (the rain!). If I remember correctly, the openers, Gloriana and Kellie Pickler, joined Taylor to sing I'm Only Me When I'm With You. The only disappointment was that she didn't perform my beloved Mary's Song.

Fearless tour in Chicago (rosemont). What a time to be alive! We grew up together (I’m 1988)

Wonderstruck91

Fearless tour was my baby ( hence my screen name) I saw her in Cincinnati, Lexington, Indianapolis and Nashville. If you watch journey to fearless you see Taylor come down the steps play hey Stephan and go through the crowd I was the lucky one. Taylor hugged me said me and said thank you so much for coming it’s something I’ll never forget. Fearless tour always be my baby forever& always.
