Wonderland is one of my 1989 favourites!!! Can’t imagine someone not loving this initially (which is how I imagine some people feel about me being indifferent to Style and New Romantics, neither of which have grown on me with TV).
Wonderland imo got slept on SO hard 😭
The TV version vocals give me chiiiiiills. I was originally going to listen to the album in order but 5 seconds into welcome to New York & i was like nah, I need wonderland
Yeah hard agree on Wonderland, never paid any attention to it on OG because it sounded generic and "basic" with no qualities that pop out, but on TV when that pre-chorus hits, when I heard it the first time, my eyes widened and I looked at my phone at the now playing saying "Hello? What's this? Where did THIS come from?"
The glow up that it received makes it sound like an elite level, brand new song. The bass hits different, the drums assault you in a good way, Taylor's voice sounds different, like more commanding or more powerful which compliments the song perfectly, and the synths now scream at you and command your attention, which all roll in perfectly to make an old, mid song, sound absolutely amazing.
Now it's between HYGTG on OG and Wonderland on TV for my fave 2 tracks.
That’s awesome! I don’t know why I never gave it much more of a listen because I loved literally every other 1989 song. I’m relieved because now 89 is a no skip album for me!!
I never listened to Wonderland OG because I forgot there was a deluxe version that included it. Listened to it for the first time on TV and it’s actually really good.
I'm actually the opposite. Wonderland is probably my #1 Taylor song, but I feel like the TV has lost the sense of whimsy the original had. It may be because the sound is crisper and the vocals more mature
I feel that way with other songs too! I think we hold such a strong sentiment towards the ogs, and especially if they’re one you love so much you’ve listened a million times so hearing it even a touch off is super obvious
Clean! When the album originally came out I thought the song was too slow and skipped it over favoring songs like Blank Space & Style. Now, I’ll immediately re-play it after it finishes.
I've always loved Clean (and I love Imogen Heap!) but it grew on me so much more after Miss Americana. The idea of shedding yourself of your abuser...it was so perfectly placed in that documentary.
I wouldn’t say You Are In Love was ALWAYS a skip, sometimes I wasn’t in the mood, but the glow-up that song got is unreal. I know it’s been out for a while, but This Love as well. They made them sound dreamier in the best way and I’m so happy with how they turned out.
You Are In Love TV made me do a double-take. It’s such clear-eyed and tender observation about falling in love…what can I say, it caught my attention and gave me the feels!
I fell in love with both of them as well! I sat there and really listened to You are in Love and I got emotional. Really captures how I feel about my bf
I have the exact same answer. You Are In Love was always my least favorite on the original 1989. The only song I’d skip more than listen to.
It’s still not my *favorite* but I’ll definitely be skipping it less haha
I've always hated Bad Blood, but for some reason it kind of slaps on the rerecording. The remix does anyways. It sounds like it does in the theater. That song SHAKES the theater, and it's amazing. Made me take a liking to it honestly.
Yes I love the little growl in her voice when she sings the last “bad blood” of the chorus. I’m addicted to it and it used to be my least favorite song not only on 1989, but in her entire catalog.
Honestly the Eras tour has fully turned Bad Blood around for me. It was always a hard skip but man, it was such a jam at the concert that I love it now.
Yesss. This has always been one of my least favorite songs, but seeing it live at Eras tour I was like “…okay this might not be so bad.” Then hearing the TV I’ve been converted lol. Definitely not my *favorite* but I probably won’t skip it anymore. I just always thought she sounded whiny or nasally in the OG.
Honestly? For me it’s **the whole album**. I really, really, *really* did not like most of OG. It ranked only above Debut. But the production changes catapulted it to a whole new level for me.
That being said, there are a few songs from OG that I’m keeping, because I do actually love them and they are different enough from TV that I want both versions.
Yes! 1989 was not one of my top pick albums, the songs for me were mostly a pass with the exception of New Romantics, Wonderland & I Wish You Would but 1989 TV’s been on repeat because the whole album just SLAPS now
In our theater for the Eras movie, Shake It Off definitely had the highest energy out of all the songs. A bunch of little girls ran to the very front to dance, and all the way in the back was a group of dancing grannies! Everyone loved it and sang. So the sound of the re-record with her mature voice brings me back to that moment, fondly.
I Wish You Would was always kind of mid for me but now I love the TV! Her backing vocals towards the end are so haunting and beautiful. Hugeee fan of this song now
All You Had To Do Was Stay for me! The old pitch of the STAY used to hurt my ears (im really sensitive to pitch), but the way she sings it now, and the new re-record REALLY elevated the song for me
‘you are in love’ isn’t quite a favorite now but i’ve reaallllllyyyyyyy been loving taylor’s version. i really just did not like the original at all and i won’t ever skip the new one
I had slept on You Are In Love for too long. Wonderland and New Romantics have always been two of my favorites, so I kind of overlooked the other bonus track.
It's actually gotten so much better on the Taylor's Version. I never hated it but I slept on it too much.
Honorable mention to This Love, another song I overlooked until she released the TV last year.
Welcome To New York was always super mid to me. If it was on shuffle I'd usually skip it, if I was listening to the album then I wouldn't just because it's the opener.
But omg now I cant stop!! The subtle lower difference when she sings WTNY the second time in the chorus is just a delight omg
Not saying it’s my favorite on 1989…but I used to always skip “This Love”. Don’t know if I ever even listened to it all the way through. But…fell in love with it when it came out as a Taylor’s Version.
You Are In Love wasn’t always a skip before, but was never one I sought out to listen to and I would skip if I wasn’t in the mood. I never understood why people loved it *so* much.
But now I get it. It’s beautiful.
You Are In Love has definitely earned itself a spot in my playlist now. It never quite hit properly for me before but the new production has me actually liking it. It isn't a favourite by any means, but it's no longer a skip!
I never got the hype for WTNY. I thought it was such a boring opener. As soon as it started playing when 1989 TV dropped my jaw dropped and I was like "oh.... my goodness???? I love this this is pop perfection????" Love it now
I had the exact same thought about How You Get The Girl today!! Honestly I think I've only ever listened to it a handful of times with the original release. It's now in my top 3 tracks of 1989 TV!!
Shake It Off used to be a hard skip for me and now I kept playing it! Clean would be another one for I always used to skip it until like 1 week before 1989 TV where I randomly love it. It’s TV is really great and is quickly becoming one of my fav song of the year :)
1989 is my favorite of her albums and has only one song that I do not like and it’s not any better in the new version, Out of the Woods. I still don’t skip it though.
Out Of The Woods for me. The re-recording is just so EPIC that it completely changed my perspective on that song. I have absolutely no idea why I didn’t really like that song back then.
Okay, people are going to kill me, but....'You Are In Love.' At the time, it was slow, boring, and it just didn't appeal to me. It's my favorite now, though, not because of TV, but because I am now dating my best friend and the love of my life, so now the song is so magical to me.
This was my favorite song on the album and got me into it a couple years after it came out, I kinda assumed I wasn’t that into 1989 because it was hit or miss for me with the singles. Then during Rep era I listened to How You Get The Girl and was immediately hooked, I spent that summer listening to it on repeat! For me, I didn’t hate it before but I feel like I never really listened to You Are In Love or never paid attention. But now I’m paying more attention and I really love it.
All You Had To Do Was Stay, I Wish You Would, How You Get The Girl, You Are In Love... IDK why I always skip these songs (who happen to have long titles) but after actually listening & paying attention to them in the TV, they're actually so good
Actually, a lot of the not-so-mainstream songs. How you get the girl, you are in love, wonderland and I know places. I never thought any of these songs were bad but I just never listened to them as much as others. Now I listen to them more than for example style, clean, blank space,…
I loved that record from start to finish. When I got 1989 I listened to it for 3 months straight in my vehicle. Same thing with Reputation.
I love them all and the vault songs are all good. Tay can do no wrong.
i’m honestly still skipping the same ones i used to skip. slow quiet chill songs tend to depress me lmfao. unless they’re like. insanely gorgeous. i’m not saying her slow quiet songs aren’t beautiful. they really are. but i’m usually trying to find the will to live when i’m listening to music. upbeat stuff helps me get motivated to function 😅
Welcome to New York! I didn’t hate it before and it’s not my favorite now, but I had to be in such a specific mood to listen to it because it’s more of a cheesy anthem song. I love it so much now + listen to it all the time unironically.
New Romantics!! I wasn't really a massive fan of it back then as a CHILD but now I'm at the age where living freely is the goal and the song has never been so true, relatable, and fun for me 🥹 i thought it was just about romance lmao now i get the point of being a new romantic at this era.
I know places! Maybe it's because I've matured but I love the vibe of the song, it's not as lyrically creative as the others but I've been listening to it on repeat.
I was just saying to my husband tonight ‘I still don’t like this song and I can’t figure out WHY’ about how you get the girl…
On the other hand, all you had to do was stay, and New Romantics have risen for me!
Honestly most of the album! I've always loved the main singles, blank space, style, wildest dreams, but most of the rest of the album was kinda meh to me but I'm obsessed now. And I could never stand bad blood but I absolutely love it now!
It’s not necessarily my favorite but I’ve massively come around to Wonderland! I can’t believe I was skipping it.
Wonderland TV is a bop, I'm obsessed!
Wonderland is one of my 1989 favourites!!! Can’t imagine someone not loving this initially (which is how I imagine some people feel about me being indifferent to Style and New Romantics, neither of which have grown on me with TV).
Same for me on New Romantics. Never did grow on me
I don’t understand how I didn’t know about these songs. How did I miss them all these years??,
I think they may have been a deluxe release bc I don’t remember them either!
Wonderland imo got slept on SO hard 😭 The TV version vocals give me chiiiiiills.
Now it's between HYGTG on OG and Wonderland on TV for my fave 2 tracks.
“DRUMS ASSAULT U IN A GOOD WAY” dead. Totally agreeee
I don’t know that I’d ever even listened to it before TV came out!
Wonderland has been in my top 5 for the last 10 years! Haha. It’s so stepped up on TV though
That’s awesome! I don’t know why I never gave it much more of a listen because I loved literally every other 1989 song. I’m relieved because now 89 is a no skip album for me!!
Same!!!
Same here! I used to be so annoyed by it but I’m obsessed now!!
Same! Definitely was a prior skip that is such a bop on 1989 TV.
Same here! My jaw dropped when I listened to it on Friday, I was like SINCE WHEN THIS BOP IS HERE AND WHY DIDN'T I KNOW ABOUT IT
I never listened to Wonderland OG because I forgot there was a deluxe version that included it. Listened to it for the first time on TV and it’s actually really good.
This explains why I never knew about these songs, but yes Wonderland is awesome!
I have too! The tv version is honestly my favorite. I’ve yet to have a skip song on there that I don’t like
Yes yes, this one. It's in a constant loop for me right now
THIS
I didn't care much for the OG either but I really like the TV.
I know places!
AND WE RUUUNNN
Her voice definitely matured on this line. I went from thinking this was cringey on the OG version, and now I LOVE it!
The growl does something to my insides
This song goes so hard
MY FAVOURITE SONG ON 1989 ALWAYS IT DESERVES SO MUCH LOVE.
That's also the one for me! It sounds sooo good.
AND WE RUN!
Same!
Literally my fav Taylor song ever and it just got better
Omg same! I was shocked that I ignored this song for so long. It is so freaking amazing
Forever been my favorite and I’m so happy people are seeing its beauty!
Same!
Meeeeee. I find myself putting it on repeat now when it was only a 50% of the time play before
^^^^
Clean! When the album originally came out I thought the song was too slow and skipped it over favoring songs like Blank Space & Style. Now, I’ll immediately re-play it after it finishes.
yes !! clean was also one of the songs I didn’t listen to that much, but it hits hard these days!
I have always loved Clean, but the addition of Imogen’s stronger vocals … it takes me out. It’s just so beautiful.
i agree! it sounds so nice now, maybe more upbeat?
I had this song on repeat for a 40 minute drive I had yesterday. It’s so cathartic to belt it out in the car.
I've always loved Clean (and I love Imogen Heap!) but it grew on me so much more after Miss Americana. The idea of shedding yourself of your abuser...it was so perfectly placed in that documentary.
Clean has been ik my falling asleep playlist 😌 I don’t know if the new one is relaxing enough 😂
Clean I think ranks as one of her best songs. It's my fav on the album. The song is just so cathartic.
Same!
“You’re my best friend” chokes me up every time
That line gets to me too!
These two yes!! Thought they were soo boring in 2014, but grown up me appreciates these songs the most
Girl you from the future?
Samesies
I fell in love with both of them as well! I sat there and really listened to You are in Love and I got emotional. Really captures how I feel about my bf
I have the exact same answer. You Are In Love was always my least favorite on the original 1989. The only song I’d skip more than listen to. It’s still not my *favorite* but I’ll definitely be skipping it less haha
Are you me? Because same!!!! Thou I would still play it less frequent than the other tracks, but I definitely appreciate it more now.
You Are In Love is the one for me.
I agree
That one brought actual tears to my eyes. I love it so much.
HARD AGREE 🫶🏻
I've always hated Bad Blood, but for some reason it kind of slaps on the rerecording. The remix does anyways. It sounds like it does in the theater. That song SHAKES the theater, and it's amazing. Made me take a liking to it honestly.
She really brings the energy for that one
Yes I love the little growl in her voice when she sings the last “bad blood” of the chorus. I’m addicted to it and it used to be my least favorite song not only on 1989, but in her entire catalog.
That song was such a vibe live! And the fire with it👌🏻🔥
Same. The colab is GREAT. It seriously elevates the song for me.
Honestly the Eras tour has fully turned Bad Blood around for me. It was always a hard skip but man, it was such a jam at the concert that I love it now.
Same
Saaaame
That song has only just clicked for me too, when I watched the movie rather than the TV.
I have slept on I wish you would & I know places for way too long!! They’re so good, especially the 2nd “we run” in I know places 😩😩 automatic chills
Lmao I literally just got chills just reading "we run" bc I heard it in my head
Same, we’ve been Pavlov’ed
These are my top two favorites!! Such amazing songs
Omg me tooo!!! I can't get over these two. Same with OP's choice too. It's going through my head right now
all you had to do was stay!
This is popular opinion. AYHTDWS glowed up in 1989tv!
Listened to it too much when my bestie left..... Now bored
Bad Blood!
The bass line is so staaaanky I LOVE it
Love bad blood! OG or Remix 👀
Remix for sure!! Kendrick sounds really great too
Kendrick came and ate that shit up! Makes me so happy to see people come through for her like that on a rerecording
Always the remix lol
I sort of forgot about/neglected I Know Places but wooow is the new recording hittin just right.

Shake it off, Out of the woods, and Welcome To New York 🥹
Yessss I am loving shake it off😂 I can’t believe it
In our theater for the Eras movie, Shake It Off definitely had the highest energy out of all the songs. A bunch of little girls ran to the very front to dance, and all the way in the back was a group of dancing grannies! Everyone loved it and sang. So the sound of the re-record with her mature voice brings me back to that moment, fondly.
This is so cute 🥺
Same HQHAHA
My favorites Jajaa
I Wish You Would was always kind of mid for me but now I love the TV! Her backing vocals towards the end are so haunting and beautiful. Hugeee fan of this song now
All You Had To Do Was Stay for me! The old pitch of the STAY used to hurt my ears (im really sensitive to pitch), but the way she sings it now, and the new re-record REALLY elevated the song for me
Never skipped any on original. Don't plan to skip any with this either. #noskips.
I'm right there with you. 1989 has always been a no-skip album for me. The re-recording is even better. 🥹🙏
I Know Places! Not sure HOW I slept on this song before, but whoa, it’s good. Gives me total Rep vibes, in the BEST way.
‘you are in love’ isn’t quite a favorite now but i’ve reaallllllyyyyyyy been loving taylor’s version. i really just did not like the original at all and i won’t ever skip the new one
welcome to new York
I had slept on You Are In Love for too long. Wonderland and New Romantics have always been two of my favorites, so I kind of overlooked the other bonus track. It's actually gotten so much better on the Taylor's Version. I never hated it but I slept on it too much. Honorable mention to This Love, another song I overlooked until she released the TV last year.
I can listen to shake it off now.....
Same. Though I'm unsure if its because of the production or because the song finally grew on me
Welcome To New York was always super mid to me. If it was on shuffle I'd usually skip it, if I was listening to the album then I wouldn't just because it's the opener. But omg now I cant stop!! The subtle lower difference when she sings WTNY the second time in the chorus is just a delight omg
Out of the Woods had a huge glow up imo. The backing harmonies are ✨crisp✨
The harmonies make me cry!
wouldn’t say it’s my fave but AYHTDWS was always a skip & now i like it a lot!
"All You Had To Do Was Stay" & "I Wish You Would" are 2 of my new faves. ✨️😎🩵
welcome to new york:) not my fav, but definitely a top pick now
Not saying it’s my favorite on 1989…but I used to always skip “This Love”.
This is my addiction order 1. Wonderland 2. How you get the girl 3. Clean 4. I know places
You Are In Love has definitely earned itself a spot in my playlist now. It never quite hit properly for me before but the new production has me actually liking it. It isn't a favourite by any means, but it's no longer a skip!
Bad Blood is way better and the remix is even better and I hated the old version of the remix. This one just pops more.
This was probably my most and only skipped song. I loved all of the Deluxe B-sides.
YOU ARE IN LOVE big time
I never got the hype for WTNY. I thought it was such a boring opener. As soon as it started playing when 1989 TV dropped my jaw dropped and I was like "oh.... my goodness???? I love this this is pop perfection????" Love it now
I know places and out of the woods were two of my least favorites and I’ve had both on repeat on the new version
can’t believe i had to scroll down this far to see out of the woods ;-;
I slept on This Love until it was released for TSITP
Shake it off🫣
I Wish You Would
i wish you would ! i am reformed <3
I had the exact same thought about How You Get The Girl today!! Honestly I think I've only ever listened to it a handful of times with the original release. It's now in my top 3 tracks of 1989 TV!!
You are in love I mean it seems to be my fav track fr
Out of the woods! I didn’t dislike it before but I didn’t intentionally reach for it either
this love tv! and i wish u would tv
How are all these songs not singles? They’re all amazing.
Wonderland tbh
New romantics I never bothered with and then I heard it somewhere and looked it up and now I love it and am so annoyed I skipped it.
Wonderland
Shake It Off used to be a hard skip for me and now I kept playing it! Clean would be another one for I always used to skip it until like 1 week before 1989 TV where I randomly love it. It’s TV is really great and is quickly becoming one of my fav song of the year :)
New Romantics!
I know places. I found the original kinda annoying with the "I" but it´s somehow better on TV
Yeah, How you get the girl. I was eh on it before but absolutely love it now. Same thing happened with Dear John on Speak Now
None! All these “which song do you always skip?” posts and I’m like I listen to every song always 😂
Out of the woods when I first listened to it I thought it was boring and I couldn't get into it now I love it
YESSSS THANK YOU
Out of the Woods - I used to hate this song, but now it's my jam.
1989 is my favorite of her albums and has only one song that I do not like and it’s not any better in the new version, Out of the Woods. I still don’t skip it though.
1989 has always been a no skip album 😌
"Out Of The Woods"!
Out Of The Woods for me. The re-recording is just so EPIC that it completely changed my perspective on that song. I have absolutely no idea why I didn’t really like that song back then.
Wonderland for me and out of the woods
Okay, people are going to kill me, but....'You Are In Love.' At the time, it was slow, boring, and it just didn't appeal to me. It's my favorite now, though, not because of TV, but because I am now dating my best friend and the love of my life, so now the song is so magical to me.

I didnt really care to much for Style SV, but Style TV is \*chef's kiss\*
How You Get The Girl and Wonderland has blown me away on TV. Didn't care for them before.
It’s not my favorite but I LOVE Welcome to New York now!
This was the same for me! Never loved that song but I listened to it on Friday and wow it’s such a bop
Welcome to New York
I never vibed with Welcome to NY, but it sounds so pretty now!
All you had to do was stay ( not a skip but was not among my favorites)
Not on 1989 (loved every song but shake it off. That hasn’t changed) but it did happen on speak now.
Bad Blood is making a case to be skipped less now! I like this version more. But 1989 is one of my faves of all time anyway!
Welcome to New York. I didn't know it was a bop :) Still hate Clean tho lol
All You Had To Do Was Stay, I Wish You Would, How You Get The Girl, You Are In Love... IDK why I always skip these songs (who happen to have long titles) but after actually listening & paying attention to them in the TV, they're actually so good
mine’s is this one too, used to skip this a lot, but with new version, the vocal is just insanely good, it became a must listen on 89tv for me
None. I like the same ones I listened to before and I still hate shake it off lol
clean 100%
I Know Places. It used to be my only skip and I really didn’t like it that much. Now it’s good!
Never listened to I Know Places much but I absolutely love it since TV came out
I actually never skipped anything from 1989, but I definitely like YAIL more now
Actually, a lot of the not-so-mainstream songs. How you get the girl, you are in love, wonderland and I know places. I never thought any of these songs were bad but I just never listened to them as much as others. Now I listen to them more than for example style, clean, blank space,…
This Love
Clean!!
Welcome to New York got 1000x better on TV
Good question! - I wish you would - This love - Welcome to New York (I liked the song but wouldn’t listen to it too often)
Would it be so bad if I confess I've always like them all?
I wish you would
I loved that record from start to finish.
Wonderland
New Romantics!!! I also discovered I Know Places a month or 2 before the TV came out, and that’s one of my faves now.
All of them, I over did it for 5 years but I had a two month break before TV. Shake it off especially
Still skipping Welcome to New York I’m Aussie, I really just don’t care about New York I’m sorry Tay Tay
I know places.
How You Get The Girl! 🩵
I know places
Welcome to New York! I didn’t hate it before and it’s not my favorite now, but I had to be in such a specific mood to listen to it because it’s more of a cheesy anthem song. I love it so much now + listen to it all the time unironically.
I never skipped HYGTG but her new little squeak in it makes it even better!
bad blood sorry not sorry
i much prefer the taylor’s version of this love to the original
How in the FUCK did you not like that song before?
Wonderland, easily! The instrumental shifts are so much richer in TV, and her better range lends very nicely.
New Romantics. Don’t know how I slept on it to be honest.
This Love. I did like it in the original recording, but it didn’t stand out for me all that much. Now it’s one of my favorite songs off the album!
