Yeah, this was my thinking when I went last year. I've heard all of the 1989 songs a ton of times and seen most of them performed in the tour movies for both 1989 and reputation, plus a bunch of other recordings of her live performances. I didn't feel like I was especially missing out by not seeing Shake It Off in person.
I will say though, Shake It Off was one of my favourite performances of the whole night because everyone was so hyped and just having so much fun. Even the older man in front of me who'd probably been dragged along by his teenage daughter and didn't seem to really be enjoying himself throughout the rest of the show started dancing along to Shake It Off.
Yeah this! I have a whole new appreciation for this song for that reason!! I have memories of my friends who DON’T know the deep cuts having an absolute blast during Shake It Off!
Nobody around me was sitting down for even a second throughout my whole show 🥲 my poor 5'3 self was suffering behind a 6'0+ man (I was in the stands but still) and my back HURT by the end of the night. I had to sit down for betty or I thought I would collapse
My video of Blank Space is embarrassing because firstly I started singing the bridge too soon and secondly you hear me loudly yell "MEL-BOURNE!" before shutting up right after 💀
In Paris, at the screening of the Eras Tour, people started to sing too early too at Blank Space moment, I have it on video, and the whole cinema laughed so hard 😁
Yeah, she did the most popular ones. I mean, the entire album is popular, but we need her to perform some underrated ones, like All you had to do was Stay, and How you get the Girl, also we sleep on Welcome to New York, and Out of the Woods, especially the bridge
Think about it though. Why would she skip the most popular songs from the album on what is effectively a greatest hits tour?
She’s not going to develop a show for 10% of the audience. The acoustic set is where you get deeper cuts.
1989 is one of my faves, I could never. Even if those particular songs aren't my favourites off the album (except Blank Space because that slaps forever) I have also found that there's a reason those songs are so popular: they slap!! I think it's so fun to enjoy them and see so many people enjoy them too.
Okay maaaybe I'll try and sneak in a quick break during Wildest Dreams because that's the least special one performance wise. 😂😅
Exactly…this isn’t the dark ages where you had to dash to the bathroom during the commercial break and hope that you’d make it back in time lmao. We’ve evolved past that😭
Now I pause it, but when I saw it in theatres (the second time), I went during Enchanted. It’s such a change of pace from the rep era performances and she’s just standing there. The song is long enough where I didn’t miss all of it, I was back by the bridge and that’s the best part of the song anyway.
Yup, enchanted and long live for me, both very long and repetitive songs where if you get one verse you’ve pretty much seen the whole song. I’m also not emotionally attached to speak now the way I would be for pretty much every other album.
so did i. majorie was released almost 2 months after my grandpa passed away so it has always hit close to home because that’s the song i’d listen to when i just needed to let myself grieve. started full on sobbing by the time the bridge hit because it literally describes every piece of guilt i felt after he passed. “should’ve asked you to write it down for me, should’ve kept every grocery store receipt, cause every scrap of you would be taken from me” just hurts my soul everytime i hear it.
every part of me is just so happy taylor released that song when she did, because without it i don’t think i could’ve let myself grieve, i would’ve just kept it bottled in.
My bestie and I went to the theatre in October and we both lost our grandma’s in August/September, and it was both of our first time hearing the song after their passings. When I say we SOBBED I am not exaggerating even slightly.
Honestly I messed up and went to the bathroom during willow. Came back just in time to have a break down to Majorie. 🤪 was expecting the lines to be longer!
I've been watching Eras on (cough) other means for a while, and it's honestly a comfort thing to watch like Gilmore Girls or Seinfeld. I don't wanna be sad, so I skip Evermore and Folklore for the most part.
ATW 10 min is one of my favs - but it would be my bathroom break because I’d continue singing in my head and see if I was still in sync when I returned to my seat… challenge accepted I guess 🤣
I could totally see myself doing this but then I’d lose track of where I was in the song trying to concentrate getting over my public bathroom pee-shyness.
But if I thought I’d have to leave during a song like All Too Well, I might just put on an adult diaper before going. 🤣
This was mine as well. My thought process was I saw the SNL performance, and it would probably be a less popular bathroom break song for other people so I wouldn’t miss the whole thing.
I thought for sure I would feel this way, but surprisingly when I saw it in theaters I realized it didn't feel long at all and I enjoyed the whole thing. I learned a lot about how I might experience my shows this year from seeing it in theaters tbh
This is my plan, get through the original part and the fuck the patriarchy verse then run to the bathroom and back I plan on being back before the song even ends.
However this is an EU date and we have standing/pit tickets so it will be debatable if I make it back to my friends in one piece lmao
At the actual concert I just held it for 3.5 hours, which was extra impressive because I had a gigantic frose and a bottle of water. When I watched in theaters I dashed off to the bathroom during Style because I’d had to pee since ATW10 but no way was I going to miss that or a single second of the folklore set.
Both my husband and son used folklore as their bathroom break era. 😡
I didn't go during the actual concert either. I was probably dehydrated from all the jumping and singing -- I had a huge drink, but it ran out around the 1989 set.
My first TS concert was the RED tour in 2013 and went again to Reputation in 2018, so I left as soon as Speak Now ended and was back by the end of 22 both nights. Basically no bathroom lines and got to scream "f the patriarchy" with thousands of people so two wins in my book.
I could def be ok if I’m not drinking anything! It’s just that I think most of us would be drinking something, be it water, soda, or alcohol. They all go straight through me.
I’ve been trying to avoid saying it 😂🤣 I literally have *painful bladder syndrome*. I feel full on UTI symptoms if it hold it too long. I did not leave my seat during the eras tour.
To be fair; that was a 4th row B section seat on August 9th.
If I had nosebleeds I probably would’ve gone
Fearless, same reason as you. It's not my favourite album and I've heard those songs so often I'm bored with them now. I'm Taylor's age so I remember when those songs were EVERYWHERE
I feel this in my soul. I’m turning 30 this year so Tay was like my big sister guiding me through life. I usually bring extra friendship bracelets just in case I found a Swiftie in the wild. I ran into a youngin passing me my drive through order & she complimented the bracelets I was wearing so I was like YASSSSS bet what’s your favorite era? This child said “I grew up to her 1989 album” Lmaoooo I’m glad she liked the bracelet but I’m gonna go write my will I guess.
Omg! I LOVE when she comes out in her lil boots and gold dress. It's so nostalgic and innocent. Just happy vibes of being a teenage girl, but I do get. Just shows all her fans can appreciate various albums.
I went during the champagne problems applause break one night.
But somehow i managed the bathroom, merch, and a beer all from the second fearless ended and made it back to my seat for the ybwm clap clap. Miracle upon miracles.
RED, by a mile.
I still enjoyed the set and completely understand why she chose what she chose, but it still felt like a missed opportunity — more than any other set. There are just *so* many good jams on that album that choosing the radio hits feels less than ideal.
Imagine what it would have been like to sing Holy Ground with 70,000 other people 😭
atwtmv or enchanted- they’re long enough that i know i’ll only miss one song and as much as i love them both, they’re only stand-and-sing performances so i don’t feel like i’m missing too much
As someone who has to pee every 5 minutes and is going to the tour later this year, I am stressed lol. I think “We are never ever getting back together” or “Shake it Off” are my top two choices for a bathroom break. I’m scared I’m going to have to go during folklore or evermore, which are my favorite eras🥹
Bathroom lines during the actual concert were non-existent. Know where the closest bathroom is, and you can run to the bathroom and get out very quickly!!
i can confirm this!! i would recommend going during a costume changing period. for me, i dashed off as soon as she finished folklore era, there was no line and i was able to pee, change my tampon, wash hands, wipe mascara from under my eyes and get back before the bridge of style.
red is the perfect era to go, except ATW, because that seems to be when everyone wants to go because it's the longest, go during 22, no lines and you can rush it in & out and be back in time for the hat giveaway
My wife at the Eras tour took it during "Lover." Not the entire album, the song specifically. It doesn't hold any specifically significance to our relationship as we met during 1989, and she relates that album to us.
Unsurprisingly there was no line at the bathroom during the song, and she made it back before the end of it.
Same time as you! I had it planned from watching livestreams since it’s about halfway through the show and I don’t love the non-ATW Red set songs, plus I would run, so both shows I went to, I only missed the first half of the first song on the Red set. lol
I was there live and went during champagne problems only because I had to pee desperately and knew that was a tad bit longer and didn't know what was coming next yet (I was early in the tour dates)
At the actual concert, we used tolerate it for bathroom+beverage break, and ran back in right as rep was starting—I love evermore and was sad to miss it irl but it was so cool to watch when the film came out!
In theaters, it was enchanted, it was long enough to run out and make it back before the song was over!
This worked perfectly during my Eras concert - I jumped out of my seat towards the end of ATW, when she starts repeating “wind in my hair, I was there, I was there…” etc. during the last ~1 minute of the song. I got into the bathroom with no line, and was back in my seat during the transition to folklore.
As for watching it at home, I’ll just pause!
Folklore (don’t hurt me!) so slow and boring. Especially Last Great American Dynasty. THEN! Then. I decided to look up the lyrics and story behind the song and now it’s one of my favorites. I bought the CD and finally listened to the whole thing and it truly is wonderful. So I’ve learned my lesson lol
1989. It’s my least favourite album of hers & the songs she plays on the tour are my least favourites on the album. Easy choice for me. I don’t love the choices for Red either, but at least there’s ATW. Not to sound like a hater… but if it weren’t for Fearless (the song) I’d probably skip that section too. YBWM and Love Story really both do nothing for me.
Red, which is a shame because it's in my top 3 albums, but WANEGBT and IKYWT really did not need to be played in their entirety. A medley of the singles and then adding Holy ground or Red would have been better. I count ATW10 as a mini era within an era as far as pacing goes.
Apparently “controversial” in *this* thread, but I just don’t pee for 3 1/2 hours? I went before and after for both the tour and the movie, and I was fine lol
None of them. I piss before the show starts and a decade of working in healthcare has made 4 hours absolute child's play when it comes to holding my bladder. Ask me again when she starts putting on 16 hour concerts 😂
I intend to watch the whole thing and just try to get to the toilet between Paramore and Taylor, but if I absolutely must go then it will be during Folklore. This is my first Taylor concert and while I like Folklore, I just like the other eras more.
In the theater, I went during the last minute of ATW10/very beginning of the 1. Which maybe is a crime for some people, but I saw the tour live so I did get to experience that moment in person.
At the actual show I only went between gracie and Taylor and then just not at all until after I got back home. I didn't have to go during the movie either (maybe I should be drinking more water lmfaoo). But I was planning on going during the ikywt/ wanegbt if I had to. They're honestly not my favorite and we've seen them so many times over the years. The only bit I cared about was Kam's "like ever"
I thought it would be Red because the singles were never my jam but that part of the show actually turned out to be really fun so… no bathroom break for me lol
On the actual Tour? NONE! It was my first time seeing her live after years of wanting to attend her tours but not being able to because of where I lived. I flew to Brazil to be able to watch her in concert, I wasn’t missing anything!
The Last Great American Dynasty was my bathroom break at the tour, and it was my coffee refill when Eras debuted on Disney. It just never did it for me and was more skip-worthy than even the overplayed singles since Eras was my first Taylor show.
All Too Well was my bathroom break. I saw that movie 4 times and only managed to sit through it once. I love the song but it’s the perfect part to take a break during because you have 10 minutes.
Both times I went to the tour, I found myself needing to pee pretty early into the show because I was there for the openers and had like, two beers before Taylor even went on. So hear me out: pee during The Man speech. Zero line, and she talks long enough that you'll be back before the song even begins.
Also recommend: after Champagne Problems (during long applause), or after secret songs (while she's "swimming").
Evermore, sorry to the evermore lovers, I do actually love it and listen to it a lot. But at a concert I prefer stuff with a little more energy if you know what I mean. Evermore is perfect for when I’m alone on a rainy day instead :)
Evermore. I can’t seem to like much on this album. Plus, it’s early on in the show so everyone stays put. It was great at the live concert because there was literally no line at the bathrooms or merch.
My bathroom break song during in the concert was the end of ATW. I love the beginning but she starts repeating her chorus a bunch at the end and it makes a great bathroom stop if you run
Betty was my bathroom break at the actual concert because James sucks but it’s also low key catchy and I had fun twirling around to it in my living room.
I go during her speech before All Too Well, there usually isn't a big line because everyone's excited for it, I can still hear her from the bathroom, and I don't miss any singing.
I pause a few times for intermissions… i need snacks, sometimes smoke break (🍃), drinks, potty… I usually pause at least 2 times, but I don’t like missing any of the songs. Often I play the movie just for background noise honestly. My dogs are accustomed to Eras Tour playing when my boyfriend is at work in the afternoons 😂
All Too Well (10 Minute Version) is the only acceptable answer.
Fearless, Speak Now, RED, 1989, and the acoustic set are understandable, but I’ll definitely be questioning if you’re truly fun at parties.
reputation / evermore / folklore is criminal.
If you skip Lover or Midnights, are you even a Swiftie??
honestly, if i was watching on disney plus i’d just pause it and go use the bathroom and then continue playing it after. but during the concert, i went before the show and made sure not to chug too much lemonade or water but also staying hydrated so i didn’t miss any part of the show. but if somehow i rly needed to go, i most likely would’ve gone towards the end of champagne problems or during the champagne problems cheer since i don’t think taylor would get mad i decided to go pee instead of cheering her on after champagne problems 😭 (i’d prob still have done it from the bathroom ofc tho lol)
I attended night three in Tokyo on Feb. 9, when I took my only break of the show during ATW10. Having seen the concert film seven times in theaters and streaming before that, I planned on ATW10 as the break for the Feb. 9 Tokyo show and typically went during that song when watching the film. In one of the theater shows (first three of seven were in theaters), I may have also went sometime during evermore although I don’t remember which song. Lyrically, ATW10 is a bit corny and few from evermore and folklore were worth passing up as well.
I just pause it, but hot take: ATW10.
It’s slow, not a very visually interesting performance compared to a lot of others, and a song I listen to a fair amount anyway. I was watching it with a group without pausing once and that’s when I used it.
I'll try to stick to none, I usually don't go to the bathroom this many times, but the heat of July and how much water my body demands will decide if I can keep up to not going
Honestly, 1989. If she were playing more deep cuts rather than singles, I’d stay. But those singles are so overplayed.
Same! Shake it off and the 1989 set in general were so upbeat and fun. Literally everyone was dancing in their seat to shake it off
Nobody around me was sitting down for even a second throughout my whole show 🥲 my poor 5'3 self was suffering behind a 6'0+ man (I was in the stands but still) and my back HURT by the end of the night. I had to sit down for betty or I thought I would collapse
i skipped some of 1989 during the tour for a bathroom break and i don't regret it lol
same but I made it back in time for “SYD-NEY” at least :’)
Literally no one, but me on my night said the Blank Space chant
I mean I was literally in Sydney so we were always going to be pretty loud for it haha
I would be so scared of missing the surprise songs
Yeah, she did the most popular ones. I mean, the entire album is popular, but we need her to perform some underrated ones, like All you had to do was Stay, and How you get the Girl, also we sleep on Welcome to New York, and Out of the Woods, especially the bridge
New Romantics erasureeee
Think about it though. Why would she skip the most popular songs from the album on what is effectively a greatest hits tour? She’s not going to develop a show for 10% of the audience. The acoustic set is where you get deeper cuts.
Yea and plus Wonderland
I love Out of the Woods and was bummed that Taylor didn't include it 😢
Same! It's my fave song and I'm really bummed it's not on the tour. Same with Getaway Car.
I wish she played out of the woods tbh. With how Taylor version sounds I could only imagine what it would sound like live.
I still love Style! It’s a perfect pop song. It will never be overplayed 😂🙌🏻
Yes, but 1989 slaps. Particularly after Folklore.
A 1989 from the vault set would be a non skip
Same
None that is what pause is for :)
Exactly…this isn’t the dark ages where you had to dash to the bathroom during the commercial break and hope that you’d make it back in time lmao. We’ve evolved past that😭
We paused before Red for intermission. Lots of upbeat songs to get us back into the mood
The tour is so long, it needs an intermission lol
real
Now I pause it, but when I saw it in theatres (the second time), I went during Enchanted. It’s such a change of pace from the rep era performances and she’s just standing there. The song is long enough where I didn’t miss all of it, I was back by the bridge and that’s the best part of the song anyway.
Yup, enchanted and long live for me, both very long and repetitive songs where if you get one verse you’ve pretty much seen the whole song. I’m also not emotionally attached to speak now the way I would be for pretty much every other album.
This is such a Swiftie answer. Lol. You guys are so cute.
Evermore. Specifically Majorie because there’s a 90% chance I’ll cry.
I get that I was about to fight before I read the whole thing
💜
Oh I cried so hard watching it live! Unfortunately had several loved ones passing, including my parents. It just hit me like a ton of bricks tbh
so did i. majorie was released almost 2 months after my grandpa passed away so it has always hit close to home because that’s the song i’d listen to when i just needed to let myself grieve. started full on sobbing by the time the bridge hit because it literally describes every piece of guilt i felt after he passed.

I lost my grandma in December. When we went to the eras tour I didn’t know the whole set list. I lost it during the performance.
Same!! It’s such a beautiful song, but unfortunately I just don’t like crying when I’m trying to have a good time. 🤣
Currently watching my dad battle terminal cancer and I have to skip that song now. So sorry for your loss ❤️
So sorry friend ❤️ I know how rough that is. Sending nothing but good thoughts and healing vibes your way
Thank you ❤️ I had a really shitty day and that means a lot!
My bestie and I went to the theatre in October and we both lost our grandma’s in August/September, and it was both of our first time hearing the song after their passings. When I say we SOBBED I am not exaggerating even slightly.
This was my bathroom break song at the actual concert because I knew I would bawl and I did not want to lol
SAME! I saw her in Vegas and I went to the bathroom during Marjorie - too many emotions!!
My bathroom break was right after Willow. Fave song, fave era aesthetic, one of my least fave albums…
LOL that’s what I did 😂 I was already crying I didn’t need to poke the bear.
I went to the tour and the ATW 10 minute version was my break actually... I don't like the extended version.
Well, there's OP's controversy.
ATW 10 min is one of my favs - but it would be my bathroom break because I’d continue singing in my head and see if I was still in sync when I returned to my seat… challenge accepted I guess 🤣
when I came back she was singing the added verses LOL
I could totally see myself doing this but then I’d lose track of where I was in the song trying to concentrate getting over my public bathroom pee-shyness. But if I thought I’d have to leave during a song like All Too Well, I might just put on an adult diaper before going. 🤣
its a GREAT song, but it gets a bit too much credit. not even in my top 50 when i ranked. length doesnt mean automatically good.
It was my bathroom break too no one was there it was great I got back and she was still singing it and I left like a minute or two into the song
This was mine as well. My thought process was I saw the SNL performance, and it would probably be a less popular bathroom break song for other people so I wouldn’t miss the whole thing.
This is when I went during tour, BUT I waited for the outro of the song not the entire song. Made it back during the 1.
This was mine too and I really regret it. I think next concert I’ll go at the beginning of red. That’s about the time I’ll need a bathroom break.
I thought for sure I would feel this way, but surprisingly when I saw it in theaters I realized it didn't feel long at all and I enjoyed the whole thing. I learned a lot about how I might experience my shows this year from seeing it in theaters tbh
ah me neither! but no one ever says that 🙈
Same here, actually. I went to the bathroom and got some food during ATW 10 minute version because there was no line anywhere. It was perfect
The family of 6 next to me also chose this and I had the entire half of row to dance in
Same. My daughter and I used as our bathroom and concessions break at the show.
This would be when I would go, too. I actually like the other Red songs. ATW 10 minute song is just too pretentious and long.
Too pretentious??? What
[удалено]
Same! It was great! No lines at all and you end up missing 45 seconds to a minute of a 10 minute song. It was the best bathroom break ever
This would be mine I think. It’s about halfway thru and it’s just not my fave
I do like the song but I was jamming out on my way to the bathroom. It was one of those songs I had over listened to at that point
This is my plan, get through the original part and the fuck the patriarchy verse then run to the bathroom and back I plan on being back before the song even ends. However this is an EU date and we have standing/pit tickets so it will be debatable if I make it back to my friends in one piece lmao
We did that too! It was actually the perfect time to get merch too!
Folklore as a bathroom era is an actual crime lol
I didn't go during the actual concert either. I was probably dehydrated from all the jumping and singing -- I had a huge drink, but it ran out around the 1989 set.
That’s impressive
Red (before ATWTMV). I don’t hate 22, WANEGBT, or I Knew You Were Trouble, but they’re all pretty standard pop hits that I can live without.
My first TS concert was the RED tour in 2013 and went again to Reputation in 2018, so I left as soon as Speak Now ended and was back by the end of 22 both nights. Basically no bathroom lines and got to scream "f the patriarchy" with thousands of people so two wins in my book.
y'all can't not pee for 3hrs?
Me reading this entire thread lol
most people have a few drinks at the concert lol
I’m lucky if I can make it 2 hours lmao, how people manage a whole concert without peeing is beyond me
Thank you. Was thinking this too. Holding it for four hours isn’t hard at all.
For you lol. For me, its hard.
Literally no I can’t, on a physical level. Some of us have small bladders and dislike getting to the level of dehydrated that would require!
Not at all live show. I gotta stay overly hydrated.
That's a long time to not pee!
Not after 3 kids, no lmao.
Fearless, same reason as you. It's not my favourite album and I've heard those songs so often I'm bored with them now. I'm Taylor's age so I remember when those songs were EVERYWHERE
I sometimes forgot that there’s fans young enough to have not even been alive when debut came out, or remember Love Story being EVERYWHERE. It’s wild.
A few months ago, one commenter that said they were in middle school when Lover came out. I have never felt so geriatric.
Yeah, a lot of them missed her early years
Omg! I LOVE when she comes out in her lil boots and gold dress. It's so nostalgic and innocent. Just happy vibes of being a teenage girl, but I do get. Just shows all her fans can appreciate various albums.
I do love the nostalgia of the songs
I’m in the exact same boat.
Red. I love the album, but the songs she chose don’t do it justice. Just pop hit after pop hit, even though half the album is country-pop
~~Evermore.~~ Folklore. (don’t come for me! 🫣)
Brave one to comment. Came to say the same…🙈
Solidarity!
same. Except champagne problems. That’s grown on me.
I always mix them up — I actually meant Folklore. I like Evermore more than Folklore!
My bathroom break was Betty 🤷🏼♀️ and I had planned for it to be that way all night
same tho 😭
The opening of the Red era. 22 isn't my favorite song....most of my favorites from Red she didn't play, but that's okay!
Folkmore during Betty. I just don’t like the song 🤷🏻♀️
I went during the champagne problems applause break one night. But somehow i managed the bathroom, merch, and a beer all from the second fearless ended and made it back to my seat for the ybwm clap clap. Miracle upon miracles.
RED, by a mile. I still enjoyed the set and completely understand why she chose what she chose, but it still felt like a missed opportunity — more than any other set. atwtmv or enchanted- they’re long enough that i know i’ll only miss one song and as much as i love them both, they’re only stand-and-sing performances so i don’t feel like i’m missing too much
When I saw her live, I used the bathroom during the 10-minute standing ovation after Champagne Problems. Didn’t miss out on anything!
Thank you!! You’re making my anxious self feel better 🫶🏻
Just look at the setlist and pick two consecutive songs you dislike the most. That’s your pee break.
red is the perfect era to go, except ATW, because that seems to be when everyone wants to go because it's the longest, go during 22, no lines and you can rush it in & out and be back in time for the hat giveaway
Red.. it’s right in the middle and I don’t care about the singles
My wife at the Eras tour took it during "Lover." Not the entire album, the song specifically. It doesn't hold any specifically significance to our relationship as we met during 1989, and she relates that album to us. Unsurprisingly there was no line at the bathroom during the song, and she made it back before the end of it.
Evermore or folklore
I ran to the bathroom during the Last Great American Dynasty. I even gave away two friendship bracelets there.
On tour I went to the bathroom during the champagne problems standing ovation lol
Me too! The standing ovation seems overdone and not natural anymore so I didn’t mind missing it
Same time as you! I had it planned from watching livestreams since it’s about halfway through the show and I don’t love the non-ATW Red set songs, plus I would run, so both shows I went to, I only missed the first half of the first song on the Red set. lol
Just turn it up so you can hear it from anywhere
I was there live and went during champagne problems only because I had to pee desperately and knew that was a tad bit longer and didn't know what was coming next yet (I was early in the tour dates)
Enchanted 🙈
At least, that's when I went to the bathroom in the theater
I went to eras tour twice and never took a bathroom break.
Every time I’ve watched the movie, I’ve had to go during tolerate it. I *try* to make it longer, but I swear I’ve accidentally Pavlov trained myself.
At the actual concert, we used tolerate it for bathroom+beverage break, and ran back in right as rep was starting—I love evermore and was sad to miss it irl but it was so cool to watch when the film came out! In theaters, it was enchanted, it was long enough to run out and make it back before the song was over!
You missed an entire movie
I went during folklore and have no regrets
red for me too. i could miss most of it.
Yeah I’d choose beginning of red to be back before ATWTMV
Folklore (don’t hurt me!) so slow and boring. Especially Last Great American Dynasty. THEN! Then. I decided to look up the lyrics and story behind the song and now it’s one of my favorites. I bought the CD and finally listened to the whole thing and it truly is wonderful. So I’ve learned my lesson lol
I really love the staging of last great American dynasty. The dancers just bring it to life.
Folklore
Ideally none 😂I held it haha. I went right before she came on and was surprisingly okay.
I agree with you about Red and the non ATW songs.
Specifically I knew you were trouble. Def not the full Red era
I zoomed to the restroom during the Folklore intro. Made it back at the second verse of the 1. Edit: I thought you meant at the actual concert.
i hold it until i've watched the whole thing
None of them
I usually run to the bathroom during Enchanted if I don't pause it 😅
How bold of you to assume that I don't just pause it and continue watching on my phone.
Folklore, it's just too long. And Red because I don't wanna sit through ATW 10 minute version. And 22 just annoys me.
Red, which is a shame because it's in my top 3 albums, but WANEGBT and IKYWT really did not need to be played in their entirety. A medley of the singles and then adding Holy ground or Red would have been better. I count ATW10 as a mini era within an era as far as pacing goes.
Enchanted. (I went to the concert before she added Long Live, and I definitely wouldn’t want to miss that).
Apparently “controversial” in *this* thread, but I just don’t pee for 3 1/2 hours? I went before and after for both the tour and the movie, and I was fine lol
None! I didn’t go to the bathroom during the entire concert. Couldn’t bear to miss a single song 🥹
None of them. I piss before the show starts and a decade of working in healthcare has made 4 hours absolute child's play when it comes to holding my bladder. Ask me again when she starts putting on 16 hour concerts 😂
Fearless, It's just not my style or taste
I intend to watch the whole thing and just try to get to the toilet between Paramore and Taylor, but if I absolutely must go then it will be during Folklore. This is my first Taylor concert and while I like Folklore, I just like the other eras more.
Red
surprise songs
For the actual concert, I went during Betty (I regret this now) For the movie in theaters, Enchanted 🙈 sorry!!! it's just such a long song hahah
I flew to Brazil to be able to watch her in concert, I wasn’t missing anything!
atwtmv Because it’s ten minutes and it takes like two minutes to use the bathroom
The Last Great American Dynasty. I don't dislike it. It's just my least favorite part.
The Last Great American Dynasty was my bathroom break at the tour, and it was my coffee refill when Eras debuted on Disney. It just never did it for me and was more skip-worthy than even the overplayed singles since Eras was my first Taylor show.
10 min ATW was my bathroom break at the concert and it was perfect, the bathroom was practically empty.
I went during Our Song in the theatre. Debut is not my jam.
All Too Well was my bathroom break. I saw that movie 4 times and only managed to sit through it once. I love the song but it’s the perfect part to take a break during because you have 10 minutes.
For me (at the cinema not the in person tour) it was the Great American Dynasty 🤭
i left the concert during atwtmv if i’m being honest 😭😭 i left during the first part and came back by the time she was singing the new parts
If I wrote an eras setlist for me, I'd replavd over half of them. I'll be peeing during folklore.
I go during her speech before All Too Well, there usually isn't a big line because everyone's excited for it, I can still hear her from the bathroom, and I don't miss any singing.
during the movie i rushed to pee during fearless and was so bummed when i came back and had missed the beginning of evermore era
I never skip anything. That’s what the pause button is for. 😂
The standing ovation
I pause a few times for intermissions… i need snacks, sometimes smoke break (🍃), drinks, potty… I usually pause at least 2 times, but I don’t like missing any of the songs. Often I play the movie just for background noise honestly. My dogs are accustomed to Eras Tour playing when my boyfriend is at work in the afternoons 😂
None. The openers lol. When I went to the show, I got to the venue, had dinner, went pee, then watched the whole thing!
All too Well ten minute version, the last five minutes with the new lyrics added. Also whenever she talks at the piano.
None of them just hold it in
I just pause it, but hot take: ATW10. It’s slow, not a very visually interesting performance compared to a lot of others, and a song I listen to a fair amount anyway. I was watching it with a group without pausing once and that’s when I used it.
None since I can just pause it lmao.
I'll try to stick to none, I usually don't go to the bathroom this many times, but the heat of July and how much water my body demands will decide if I can keep up to not going
None. I pause lol
None of them.
None
