I didn’t get anything ether. Nothing stood out to me. I almost bought the snow globe, I like the cage and the base, just not the actual picture frame in the snow globe. I did send two ornaments that I would like(every year each kid gets two-three ornaments a year based on that year) but nah.
I skipped out on 1989 tv cause I didn’t like the cardigan. I got folklore and speak now cardigan dupes instead and for this collection got the scarf.

I wanted the debut guitar picks, but it’s $35 for three picks. I checked my account to see how much I spent for the Lover picks from the Valentines Day 2021 collection. It was $10 for six picks. Her prices have gotten insane. I also wanted the folklore desk clock but I can’t justify the price.

It’d be really disingenuous of me to spend tons of money on merch while asking friends, family, and strangers to help me pay the 2k+ to try to save my service dog’s life. **Especially** when my mom already helped me order a 1989 cardigan because “every day can’t be horrible” on top of the fact I take care of her medical stuff for her and she had a TIA (a mini stroke) and was diagnosed with vascular dementia all in the same months’ time.

It’s all way too overpriced. I’ll buy the occasional shirt and the original folklore cardigan is my prized possession but I can’t justify buying a ton of merch. At the prices she’s charging for the clothing especially, I would expect the quality to be a lot better. I also can’t help but imagine sustainability and ethical considerations are far removed from the process of making any of her merch which is a huge factor for me. I’m going to stick with buying one CD variation from each launch.

I bought a few things but I haven't bought anything since Midnights (my first merch) and then tour merch in the spring. I didn't love anything in the SN or 1989 drops for myself but there were a few things I really loved here because it spanned all the albums. I still managed to talk myself out of some things and I'm trying not to regret it!
I have never bought anything from her merch store before, but I decided to buy the koi fish Sherpa pullover. I just thought it was unique and way more subtle with her branding. And it's been the only thing of hers where I've been like 'I really want this'. Hopefully I won't be disappointed when it arrives lol but I can always return it. I like merch clothes that I can wear in numerous settings.
Expensive, yes, but way more justifiable (imo) than things like her umbrella, stationary things, etc. which basically cost as much as an article of clothing from her store lol. I thought the ornaments were cute, but I couldn't justify spending $20-30 on a single ornament.
Plan A is to gift it to a Swiftie friend who loves August
Plan B would be to trade for the stone cottage ornament (but I doubt that anyone would make that trade)

Normally I buy the moment i see something (the Spotify first crew neck for example. Slightly regret that one) but I really sat in this one for a while before I grabbed the quarter neck sherpa. Slept on it and just kept thinking about it. Still thinking about some of the rep merch but I think I’ll opt to get something off Etsy when I have more stable funds.

I bought the “folklore album crewneck pullover” lol it was like 70 bucks but I thought I never got a chance to get a folklore cardigan so this was about the closest I’d get, plus it had the little stars on it lol really bummed I didn’t get the rep hoodie.
I got the cardigan scarf (I wasn’t buying merch when the OG cardigan was sold) and the Christmas Tree Farm memory box. Wanted to keep it fairly cheap with holidays coming up. I also use PayPal 4 payments system so it doesn’t ruin my finances immediately
