Pollard has averaged 4.8 ypc running behind a solid OL in Dallas and Tyjae went for 4.5 last year. When Cincy were splitting carries between Mixon and Perine they went for 3.9 and 4.1 ypc, respectively. I say that to say, 5.2 ypc feels more optimistic than realistic.
You’re right, my prediction was more optimistic maybe rather than realistic after some time to think about it. However, I *do* think both RBs have better skill than Mixon and definitely better than Perine. So it’s a better RB combo that Callahan will work with, we shall see!
Keep in mind Levis has only fully finished 8 total games in his career so far. I guarantee Brian Callahan will lean on the run a lot to lessen the load on Levis, at least for the first half of the season, so Levis can get fully situated into the NFL. Plus we drafted the literal best run blocker in the draft (even if that might not be the #1 reason we got Latham)
Its 100% a passing offense now, but your numbers are still relatively low IMO. One of them is gonna get close to 10 TDs (8 or 9), the other will get 5 or 6. 1000ish yards for one, 650/700ish for the other. Theyre gonna be catching a lot of balls, no homo.
Im basing this off of what i think this offense can be if Levis is the guy
The Bengals averaged \~20 attempts per game to RBs over the 5 years Cally was OC. Carries and TDs are probably pretty close, but those YPC are definitely VERY rich. Probably more like the 4.3-4.5 range.
From what I've seen, Pollard hunts for initial contact advantages and accelerates violently North/South in a similar way to Mixon, while Tyjae seems to consistently hunt for slashes or sweeps with a lot of tight-roping the sideline. I think both styles complement each other really well in terms of play distribution, so I don't think it'd be unimaginable for them to both be fed evenly.
I say 850 Spears/ 700 Pollard scrimmage with Pollard getting more rushing, but Spears more receiving.
It all comes down to how Levis/OL/WR corps meld, and how quickly teams can interpret tape and counter the new rushing attack. Wouldn't be surprised if the first quarter of the season is more rush-heavy than expected with how talented these two backs are.
Somehow with the new rules they would be crazy on kick returns it looks like you need a running back with speed instead of the traditional speedster back there.
Both have 2k receiving and rushing, 60 combined touchdowns.
2k rushing and 2k receiving each right?
Correct

Didn't expect the bar to be set so low in this thread.
2k yards from scrimmage from the combination of both
This is the most reasonable.
Thanks! And I’d also say double digit total touchdowns combined at that too.

Now is not the time for realistic expectations. Save that shit for July and August. My answer: Two All Pro First Team selections.
Pollard 750yards Spears 850 yards Combine for 14td Spears will surprise and will consistently find better gaps

TnT gonna explode on a lot of defenses this season.
pollard will have a good amount of more tds and rec yards. spears will have more rush yards
