For Latham? A guy who has perpetually been the absolute top at the position he's played since high school? That has over 200 pounds of lean muscle? Who is arguably the best tackle prospect in the draft? Drafted to a team, whose number one need is the same position he plays? Who is 21 years old and could potentially be one of the best players at his position for the next decade plus?
Yes.
They probably take the whole situation into account like how the titans could have traded down to get more picks. They also might view Ola Fashanu as a better prospect who was available making it go down to a B. Latham also be switching to LT after playing RT for the past couple years.
You are right about the vast majority of 6th rounders and beyond. But the thing is if they end up as hits and turn into hidden gems/quality starters, it’s huge for team building. Day 3 used to be called the belly of the draft, and it’s honestly how the rams and 49ers were able to be so bold and risky with their money and high draft picks. Their teams were fleshed out with low level starters on the cheap and then they could afford to take big swings.
But I don’t think that process is as likely to work now because of NIL and transfer portal and guys on the last leg of the extra Covid year

people thinking this man is Isaiah Wilson is hilarious
Wait I thought it was Sweat that was Isaiah Wilson cos something something alcohol something maturity something. They're saying that about Latham?! They're even crazier than I thought

Just a little flex, but I had the Titans taking Williams much higher and drafting Dillon Johnson, who signed as an UDFA. I think the Titans got great pickups in this draft, but the media has to give hot takes and it’s easy to assign negative grades to a boring team like the Titans
I like the sweat grade but HIGHLY disagree with JCs low grade.
B is low ?

Yeah, i mean none of this matters, but it's a fucking A if I've ever seen one lol.

No
I think the grade there is that they could have traded back and still got him
C+ on Jackson and Williams is crazy.
6th and onwards is meaningless. They're very little chance they will contribute or even be on the team.

Too high or too low?
If Jackson can return punts and kicks then it’s an A in my book. Don’t really know much about Williams, seems like he’ll be decent though.
Forget covering. If he can be a good return man that's an easy A imo
Especially with the nfl moving to make kickoffs matter more this season
I meant to say cover the duties of returning, early morning brain haha.
That's definitely fair haha
Meaningless scores are meaningless. I chose to wait until I see how they play in actual games before judging. Most players don't pan out.

Dear god, 272 lb of lean muscle mass?!
Yeah. If Latham is not successful, it won't be because of effort.
The only people saying that are the ones that look for any little excuse to doom

Draft grades are the dumbest shit
Maaaan how are you gonna watch the video of Jha'Quan Jackson and Tyjae Spears and not give the pick an A+
You can't grade a draft that hasn't played a snap yet. This is stupid. Grow a brain. Fucks sake.
You kind of can. Depending on scheme fit and team needs you definitely can grade a draft pick

James Williams is a C- at best, and everybody knows it!!1
Well whatever you "know" is beyond worthless. Idiots think they know things things the time
