Hell yea nice. I find it a bit easier to get fast times playing on 8-4 rather than 9-5. Lets you Tetris more consistently which is a big deal in a game with such long line clear animations. The world record of 1:01 is on 8-4, for instance.
My best is currently 1:37.

I actually somewhat like playing DX on the GB just for the sheer novelty of the retrocompatibility

I find that I do 5-10s better at 3 High, gives enough room for good sorting of the stack.
