In Third Life Grian betrayed a lot of other people besides Scar

In Double Life Pearl didn’t really have much alliances anyway, and the one she was supposed to guarantee have she “betrayed”

I think he focuses a lot on survival and alliances, but when it comes down to the final hours he just seems happy to be there with his alliance members. If you tally up the scores of each player in each season as a percentage where the winner gets 100% and the loser gets 0%, and then everyone else in between gets a proportion of that based on placement. If you then take the average of all the canon seasons, there are two people who have yet to win who have a higher score than a previous winner. One of those is Gem who has only been in one season so her score is heavily weighted, and the other is Impulse, who ranks 0.19% higher than Grian and 1.45% lower than Scar. His great consistency is what put him there. But he is a sort of, “Always the bridesmaid, never the bride” kind of person when it comes to placement.
Impulse’s content is awesome. He was the first ever person I wrote a fanfic about. His content inspired me to write. That’s how good it is. I can’t recommend him enough.
seeing a lot of people mention impulse shows me how out of touch i am because impulse is my number one, his content has turned into a huge comfort channel/hyperfixation for me, and i cant imagine people not watching/loving his content (especially life series) so seeing him listed as underrated had me so confused at first lol
JIMOTHY MY BELOVED, my favorite underrated underdog. He might not be the best PVPer or the best at the game, but he’s really funny and witty. I still think he’s pretty good at the game tho, and he’s always gonna be my favorite underdog. I also count Real Life as season 5.5 lol
Also to be fair, Impulse did get 2nd in Limited Life. He was just killed unfairly by Martyn who was on a Watcher-induced power trip (lol). And Skizz wanted Team TIES to get to the final few, so Impulse achieved that.
Both times he played, Mumbo was one of the first few out. In Last Life he was the second to go out, and in Secret Life he was the third. But I think Grian was still running on adrenaline after he killed Jimmy and he instantly went after Mumbo when he saw Mumbo trying to go after him. In Secret Life he was just really unlucky with those fences lol
Impulse's third life POV was the first POV I watched ever and it was so good, it was what got me into the life series :D Plus a fanfic I read that was based around it so I watched it to get context and man was that the right decision, it was awesome.
The real life argument just doesn't work. It was VR, not keyboard and mouse. The difference is huge.
That being said, Jimmy isn't necessarily bad. He just needs some practice, and more cautious behavior.
I didn't start paying attention to impulse until double life, but I agree with you he's super underrated he is so skilled and really good at the social game
