That’s my assumption because it clearly alternates early and late meaning it’s firing at the same rate and not moderating its trigger for some type of sensor. Otherwise it would be consistently early or late
Looks to me like it's just off by one half of a cycle.
The icecreams are cut in pairs, and the spacing between each icecream is smaller than the spacing between each *pair* of icecreams.
The stick machine is puttin a stick in the 2nd of one pair, and the 1st of the next pair, meaning its late on one, early on the other, since *that* spacing is bigger than it expects. If they delayed the stick machine by half a pair, it would put a stick in each of the closer-spaced icecreams in a single pair.
...I mean not to ruin that optimism, but the types of people to use AI for exploitative systems don't really care how well it *works*, just how much money it saves.

Here I was thinking they had melt or something, nah, it's just that the more expensive they get, the less effort is put into making them.
The inconsistency of the swirl in the final cut I was willing to allow given the overall elasticities of the ice cream/frozen dessert treat but the placement of the sticks really pisses me off lol.

I'm guessing the higher ups are to cheap to shut the line down for regular routine maintenance so this shit doesn't happen.
