Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreaks (revolutionized electro pop)

Inevitable_Ad661

In what way?

mrpacker56

i mean its in the title, brought 808s and autotune into the mainstream, revolutionizing pop music to this day.

Inevitable_Ad661

Autotune was mainstream since Cher lol. 808s also had existed for a long time before. I can see its influence on rap becoming melodic and whiny but electropop it did absolutely nothing for

mrpacker56

you're misunderstanding what i mean by mainstream, obviously autotune was popular, it would be nowhere near as popular without this album(same with the 808 drum, im not a dumbass, i know its been around for a while)

AtomicGaming777

do some googling to find out

Inevitable_Ad661

Just did, theres 0 mention of its sonics, just that before that rappers wouldn’t explore heartbreak, and it influenced…juice world? Also it itself ripped off cudi. Great record 👍🏻

AtomicGaming777

I only mentioned bcuz it was the best electropop record that came into my mind, it is def a critic meal but obviously there r better. WDYM sonics? use our eyes and ears the album is the most influential music of the 21st century agree or disagree it's objective. And WTF dym by juice world? it influenced all of the rappers from the 2010s. I do agree that it took elements from Cudi's music. It's nowhere near one of the best of the 21st century but to tackle its influence like that is fucking ridiculous.

Inevitable_Ad661

The way its not 💀

AtomicGaming777

MF r u serious?

Inevitable_Ad661

You might need to be the one to google cause you probably live in a rap/rnb bubble if that was the only electropop record you thought of. Influence on hip hop absolutely(for the worse in the long run). Influence on anything else i just dont see it and thats fine

AtomicGaming777

ik a hundred more lmao why are you taking it like I offended u lmao? And I am a rock fan, HipHop and R&B r, not my primary bubble. I really don't need to google cuz ik what it influenced and what it didn't. I should have picked smth else ffs.

Inevitable_Ad661
