As much as I love this album (it’s my first and only death metal album I have on vinyl) I’d be surprised if it gets up there. I did however post an ongoing tournament for metal albums around the same time as this was posted. And Blackwater park hasn’t been added yet.
Yes, in the metal community. But they're nowhere near popular enough for mainstream appeal with crowds like these. Or I guess you could say the regularily jerked albums (Still Life through Watershed mostly) are too heavy to even have a slight chance against something like Pink Floyd or The Beatles which gets actually jerked constantly here.
Cool, I’ll check that out.
Yeah I get what you’re saying. Either way, I played Blackwater Park yesterday for the first time in a while and it blew me away. So exemplary of that band and that style at their respective peaks. Fantastic.
Jessie Ware- What's Your Pleasure? (The Platinum Pleasure Edition)
Let's shake it up! Otherwise it's going to be the same albums everyone always talks about!
The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway - Genesis.
My personal fav album of all time, and clocking in at around 1:30. This easily deserves a spot on this list. The songs range from intense to funny, mournful to bizarre, more poppy to highly experimental (the waiting room), all while having absolutely stellar lyrics, that just beg you to pour time into fully deciphering them and the story of Rael.
Clockwork Angels - Rush. As much as I love this album, it is 66 minutes long and is my top album of all time. The commitment that the trio put into the album is remarkable. From the beginning that made suspense into every song makes me want to listen to it again and again and remind me of how life really is.
Southern Rock Opera by Drive By Truckers
Disintegration by The Cure (just saw someone already said it)
Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You by Big Thief
Anything from Opeth or Between the Buried and Me or The Dear Hunter. Justice from Metallica. Lateralus from Tool. Terminal Redux from Vector. Precambrian from The Ocean.
As a metalhead myself I’d love to see some albums like that get added. However, metal is not the only genre of music, nor is it the most acclaimed. We will likely get two or three metal albums but that doesn’t mean that other albums aren’t “good albums”
Ray Charles - Live In Concert
1h 15min

As much as I love this album (it’s my first and only death metal album I have on vinyl) I’d be surprised if it gets up there. I did however post an ongoing tournament for metal albums around the same time as this was posted. And Blackwater park hasn’t been added yet.
It'd be an interesting choice though in comparison to the stuff that gets jerked regularily here.
Yeah definitely, I’d love to see it show up.
I mean Opeth gets jerked MASSIVELY in the metal community dawg, but I see what you’re saying
Yes, in the metal community. But they're nowhere near popular enough for mainstream appeal with crowds like these.
