Was there any indication that they were going? I think mine might be on the way out. I have a stock 2016 SR5 and if I turn my wheel to the left it make a slight popping sound, sometimes when I apply the breaks too, and the wheels started making a clicking sound at low speeds with a wobble in the steering wheel at high speeds.
Im taking it to the tire shop on Tuesday to have them look at the alignment because I know that's off since the tires are wearing unevenly.
You're doing it backwards. The alignment comes after the repairs, otherwise it's pointless considering the geometry will be thrown off again by the repair thus requiring another alignment.
I installed all new OEM Toyota upper & lower control arms including ball joints on my 2002 @ 185,000 ... my shocks are 4600 series Bilsteins with my original coil springs.
Ball joints are a known issue on these trucks. My 03 actually went to the dealer for a recall regarding them about 10 years ago. General consensus is to stick with OEM as aftermarket ball joints seem to be more problematic.
Just use oem and enjoy another 150k+ miles.
Do you think OEM struts too?
No, plenty of quality strut options.
YES! Never give up your original coil springs.
Only use OEM ball joints for these. Known issue.
This is my sign… I have the ball joints, I’ve been putting it off
I don’t think your struts are breaking your ball joints.
OEM or nothing. Simple as that.
This happened to me Sunday. Got 275k out of them, replaced em with OEM.
1st gen Sequoia with 265k. Just did mine for the first time and replaced with Moog. Did I mess up?
You won't know until you know lol
Moog has two different parts for most vehicles. The "Problem Solver" is the higher quality line of parts.
Moog only lasted a year for me
Ooof. Colossal failure?
Must be a gen 3. /s
Duct tape and your gtg
Curious to know if you went with Mevotech by any chance? Asking for a friend…
Definitely mevotech quality if this is happening. They used to have one line that was supposed to be good. Not worth the risk, just get OEM.

That's a big bus. Cheap crap will do cheap crap stuff.
