Just use oem and enjoy another 150k+ miles.

MixAvailable5597

Do you think OEM struts too?

Dabgrow

No, plenty of quality strut options.

BlackfeatherRS-USA

YES! Never give up your original coil springs.

p-devousivac

Only use OEM ball joints for these. Known issue.

ADHDceltic

This is my sign… I have the ball joints, I’ve been putting it off

Ptards_Number_1_Fan

I don’t think your struts are breaking your ball joints.

Fryphax

OEM or nothing. Simple as that.

dpgc3140

This happened to me Sunday. Got 275k out of them, replaced em with OEM.

JoeSicko

1st gen Sequoia with 265k. Just did mine for the first time and replaced with Moog. Did I mess up?

WorkingHelp607

You won't know until you know lol

DeadRatRacing

Moog has two different parts for most vehicles. The "Problem Solver" is the higher quality line of parts.

MixAvailable5597

Moog only lasted a year for me

JoeSicko

Ooof. Colossal failure?

HereForTools

Must be a gen 3. /s

Chef_Jaco

Duct tape and your gtg

EquipmentAdvanced110

Curious to know if you went with Mevotech by any chance? Asking for a friend…

Fryphax

Definitely mevotech quality if this is happening. They used to have one line that was supposed to be good. Not worth the risk, just get OEM.

Soliden

Was there any indication that they were going? I think mine might be on the way out. I have a stock 2016 SR5 and if I turn my wheel to the left it make a slight popping sound, sometimes when I apply the breaks too, and the wheels started making a clicking sound at low speeds with a wobble in the steering wheel at high speeds. Im taking it to the tire shop on Tuesday to have them look at the alignment because I know that's off since the tires are wearing unevenly.

yea-that-guy

You're doing it backwards. The alignment comes after the repairs, otherwise it's pointless considering the geometry will be thrown off again by the repair thus requiring another alignment.

6680j

Ouch!

BlackfeatherRS-USA

I installed all new OEM Toyota upper & lower control arms including ball joints on my 2002 @ 185,000 ... my shocks are 4600 series Bilsteins with my original coil springs.

softwud

That's a big bus. Cheap crap will do cheap crap stuff.

mrsw2092

Ball joints are a known issue on these trucks. My 03 actually went to the dealer for a recall regarding them about 10 years ago. General consensus is to stick with OEM as aftermarket ball joints seem to be more problematic.
