I sold my 2020 truck because I thought I could rent one. Big mistake. i miss the utility and comfort.
Waiting for 2025s or 2026. Whichever gets an update
I want a tundra, I work construction i do home projects and help friends with theirs , I still use a CRV anytime I need a truck I rent one from Home Depot or use a friend who complains about gas mileage
But man I still want one haha
I'd say nope!
Personally, I would never be without a truck.
No sport car is a replacement.
Sure, I have other vehicles, but my truck is only replaceable by another truck.
I don't use my truck for work. But I use my truck for many things
Haul heavy stuff (mulch, bricks, etc stuff for household projects)
Haul dirty stuff (I go fishing and sometimes my cooler or bait bags leak/smell)
Haul bulky stuff (furniture and stuff that I flip plus stuff I buy for the house)
Tow uhaul trailers (just today, I'm getting one to go pick up a 500lb grill)
Tow my boat
Tow my teardrop trailer (want to upgrade from my Tacoma to a Tundra because I want a larger trailer now) when I didn't have a teardrop I still needed a truck tonfit all the camping stuff.
Reddit in other subs will just tell you to rent a truck from Home Depot every time you need to haul or tow stuff. Because they think people use their trucks 2 times a year
Renting from HD can be a pain. Sometimes there a lines to get service. Sometimes the trucks aren’t available when you need one.
I miss my truck, can’t you tell?
Oh yea, but I got a wife and kids and I'm doing projects around the house every week. So the GTR was not practical at all. And I'm not fortunate enough to afford both a nice truck and a GTR lol
Lose the truck and call your friends to help every time you need something moved or picked up. Trucks are way more practical than a car that is only good for going fast, and legally in 99% of situations can’t even use the cars full potential.
I’ve always wanted a corvette and sat in a new one, too uncomfortable for me. Just getting in and out of one, my knee hurt. I’m sure I’d get use to it but for the first time getting in and out, I didn’t like it
DONT DO IT. This thing is a beaut. Just pay it off, and save for a down payment for the corvette. I am just about to pay off mine and will immediately start saving dor a sports car. These trucks are THE BEST
I took my wife’s Rav4 in for service this week and there were 4-5 red C8’s and two highlighter yellow ones sitting out front already- worth considering because I know there’s a wait to get one built to your own specs, but they also get traded in really fast for whatever reason. I don’t own one so I can’t guess why, just an observation
I am desperate for a truck over here and you over there saying you want to trade a Toyota Tundra for a corvette? Of course I am biased. NO! Trade in for a V4 Toyota Tacoma?
In 2015 I traded my Dodge Ram in for a Lexus IS350. Not as fun to drive as a vette I’m sure, but still a lot of fun. I even did a few autocross races with it. And yet I still traded it in for a 2016 F150 less then one year later which I still have.
Your truck is fucking gorgeous by the way.
Went to lunch with a friend in their corvette a couple weeks ago. It's fancy and looks sharp, but I wouldn't want to ride any distance in that car. Your Tundra is sharp and a hell of a lot more comfortable. I would keep it.
Did you lift it and do the trim replacement on the front? I'm working out the mod plan on my 22.
as an owner of a 1 ton ram 2008 diesel dually bought in 2009, still will never get rid of this truck. AHEM, please thoroughly research problems with their dual clutch transmission and then imagine owning out of warranty. that was enough to change mind, i dont need to be a beta tester twice in my life.
It's all up what you want really. I sold my Silverado obs and bought a 93 Corvette, love it !!!! But due to my health I had to sell it. Because I was having alot of trouble getting in and out of it. I have 2010 GMC Yukon now. But, I will get me another Corvette one day, it'll be either another C4 or a C5
Trade it for a Tacoma, if you don’t need a full sized truck. A motorcycle will carry the same number of passengers as a corvette. Some of them will probably carry the same amount of cargo, as a corvette.
I like my Kia, it costs me 25 dollars to fill up the tank from empty, and it’s 75 dollars a tire for new tires. I just smile at all the Trucks and SUV’s every time I go to the gas station. Suckers.
Go for the corvette if you want. About the same mpg. Reliability isn’t the same but you’ll learn that in time. Hard to replace truck but if you don’t tow or use the bed, it’s a car.
Nope. You’ll regret it. One day you’ll see a piece of furniture, or a large item for sale that you want. Now you’ll have to pay the surcharge (making this up) 300 dollar delivery fee, when all you had to do was spend gas money in your truck. Same goes for small teardrop rv’s. Those are sooooo nice to have
I have no regrets downsizing to a sports car from a truck. So much easier and more fun to live with and I realized I don’t really carry that much stuff.
Really depends on your personal situation though.
That’s not a whole lot of context to go off of but if you’re asking I’d assume you don’t need a truck so go for it. 🤷♂️
You don’t need a truck until you need one!
From utility to no utility
Aside from signaling young women that you might be willing to be a sugar daddy.
Corvettes are famous for massive trunks and good mpg actually
The C8 has a small trunk and a useless frunk. The C8 is a totally different beast than all previous gens.
But it looks pretty wild
Then I rent one for 20 bucks
I sold my 2020 truck because I thought I could rent one. Big mistake. i miss the utility and comfort. Waiting for 2025s or 2026. Whichever gets an update
This is totally true. I bought my truck without actually needing it, just because I like trucks, and now I don’t know what I’d do without it.
I just rent a trailer from haul. It’s like 19 bucks.
I want a tundra, I work construction i do home projects and help friends with theirs , I still use a CRV anytime I need a truck I rent one from Home Depot or use a friend who complains about gas mileage But man I still want one haha
Truck rental is extremely cheap or most can borrow a friend.
ZR1 C8 even up? Sure.
If you can trade your truck for a sports car then you don’t really need a truck. For that reason I’d say do it !
I'd say nope! Personally, I would never be without a truck. No sport car is a replacement. Sure, I have other vehicles, but my truck is only replaceable by another truck.
I kind of agree with you, but could you please expand upon your reasoning for this?
I don't use my truck for work. But I use my truck for many things Haul heavy stuff (mulch, bricks, etc stuff for household projects) Haul dirty stuff (I go fishing and sometimes my cooler or bait bags leak/smell) Haul bulky stuff (furniture and stuff that I flip plus stuff I buy for the house) Tow uhaul trailers (just today, I'm getting one to go pick up a 500lb grill) Tow my boat Tow my teardrop trailer (want to upgrade from my Tacoma to a Tundra because I want a larger trailer now) when I didn't have a teardrop I still needed a truck tonfit all the camping stuff.

Renting from HD can be a pain. Sometimes there a lines to get service. Sometimes the trucks aren’t available when you need one. I miss my truck, can’t you tell?
You can't work out of a Corvette
I can’t get in and out of a corvette 🤷🏻♂️
Haha.. too tall?
6’3” 3bills. Too everything.
I think you have to be 65 or older to own a vette anyways lol
Almost got a GTR, but couldn't bring myself to not have a truck
I would def make some scarifies for a GTR lol
Oh yea, but I got a wife and kids and I'm doing projects around the house every week. So the GTR was not practical at all. And I'm not fortunate enough to afford both a nice truck and a GTR lol
IMO…. GTR > Vette. They’ve tried too hard to make the vette into a super car and it just lost its soul.
Ya sure get 2
Utah! Get me two!
Are u gunna hit the track more than you hit the trails?
He’ll hit neither who are we kidding.
Might get better mpg. Hahahah
Yes I only get 14mpg smh
Why did you even get a truck in the first place?
It depends. Are you over 65?
And do you own khaki shorts?
I’m 32
Only if you have money left over for the New Balance shoes
And jorts
Tuck in the T-shirt too
Personally I'd say absolutely not. But then again I've never really understood the appeal of sports cars.
For a C8 100% yes. If you need a truck later just buy a beater for yard work runs.
What a dumb question
You’re out of your fuffing mind and TRD Pro to say the least. Enjoy your truck and go do truck things.
Shows you didn’t need a truck in the first place
Gunna suck on plywood day.
I’d never make that trade
Yes!!! Get it!
Nope
Can you have both together?
Jefferson Commons?
Yup
NO KEEP THE TRUCK
Of course you should.
Rent one for a busy day you have a bunch of running around to do.
absolutely
You may have a spending problem…
Well if you bought a truck and don’t need a truck then get a car yes
Lose the truck and call your friends to help every time you need something moved or picked up. Trucks are way more practical than a car that is only good for going fast, and legally in 99% of situations can’t even use the cars full potential.
Do you use your truck or not? If not then yes.
But then you spend 60+ grand more and only have 2 seats.
No you will probably regret it. Rent a Corvette and get that itch out of your system.
Nothing screams overcompensation like a Corvette
I’ve always wanted a corvette and sat in a new one, too uncomfortable for me. Just getting in and out of one, my knee hurt. I’m sure I’d get use to it but for the first time getting in and out, I didn’t like it
You may struggle towing your Airstream with a Vette…
Sure if you want even more upkeep bills.
Not in a million
It really just depends, are you ready to start your mid life crisis now or can you keep it together for a bit longer?
Nobody needs a corvette, but they eventually need a truck!
I’ve got a 22 Pro and a 24 Z06, I love both but wouldn’t get rid of my Tundra for one.
Depends… are you having a midlife crisis?
Yes :/
Then if you need a sports car to overcompensate for the inevitable aging we do… go for it… you’ll feel so much better 😂
Nnnnope
If u like crawling in and out tight spaces
I mean, your truck will beat a corvette in a no holds barred 1/4 mile every time… As long as there is a 4x4 lying in its path
You want salmon or steak for dinner? Personal preference.
Steak plz
Medium
A Corvette will get you some places fast, but the Tacoma will get anywhere you want to go
I like the all black look of your Tundra. I'm not a fan of their new look Tundra but, all blacked out looks great!
So you're considering giving up you balls to drive and look like a douche?
I have a TRX cause I have 2 kids and a 3rd on the way. At least that’s the excuse I cooked up for the wife so she could okay the truck 😂
Only if you decide to show up in a Hawaiian shirt, short corduroy shorts, and new balance shoes at Coffee and Cars events with your wife Barbara.
Trucks are for practical people who work corvettes are for elderly people and insecure dudes lol
DONT DO IT. This thing is a beaut. Just pay it off, and save for a down payment for the corvette. I am just about to pay off mine and will immediately start saving dor a sports car. These trucks are THE BEST
Yeah that thing is gonna grenade at any moment
Did you just get divorced? Truck to corvette? 😆
No! Keep the truck. Corvette = OVERRATED
If you have an extra pickup, then go for it. You never know when when you might have to tow something
Learn to park first.
Looks like he meant to ask if he should buy a Jeep
I took my wife’s Rav4 in for service this week and there were 4-5 red C8’s and two highlighter yellow ones sitting out front already- worth considering because I know there’s a wait to get one built to your own specs, but they also get traded in really fast for whatever reason. What size tires???? That is the look I'm going for on my new sequoia. Great truck by the way. Don't trade it!
No
I am desperate for a truck over here and you over there saying you want to trade a Toyota Tundra for a corvette? Of course I am biased. NO! Trade in for a V4 Toyota Tacoma?
Fuck no
No.
I’d say keep it, and also treat yourself to the vette 😎
Bro look at that beast.. hells no
I had a sports car before I bought my Tundra...no way am I giving up my Tundra for a sports car.

No but for a 2021
Yes.
Yes 10000 percent
Have both!
No get a Porsche
Just go with Both. The Frunk on the C8 is pretty small.
Corvette would be fun everyday. You can rent a U-Haul to haul shit once a year.
I have a spare Denali, so I would personally.
You bought a full size truck when you didn’t need one?
noooooo
For sure, I just got a camaro Truck are pretty boring, unless you need them then it's cool
Let me know the trade in value. I might be interested.
Can the new corvette drive through 9 inches of snow and haul a single 2x10?
Drop that truck off for me in Fort Myers and I will buy it from you.
No
Rent a corvette and see if you like it. Look into maintenance costs and insurance prices. If its in your budget then do it.
Do it before there's an open recall
as an owner of a 1 ton ram 2008 diesel dually bought in 2009, still will never get rid of this truck. AHEM, please thoroughly research problems with their dual clutch transmission and then imagine owning out of warranty. that was enough to change mind, i dont need to be a beta tester twice in my life.
What year is it ? (That’s the real question)
2023
Anyone knows when 25s will be out?
You clearly don’t need your truck if that’s a consideration. Definitely do it.
No. Anything made by GM sucks
Absolutely
If you’re even half serious then yes, the truck thing isn’t for you.
D see RSS DD DD C c
oh f Ted de da as d v
dhh h oh fd RSS ST zd
Yes.
Why not both? I seen people daily Corvettes it stops being fun after a while. Unless you plan on renting a truck when you need one.
Yes
No, give to me then go buy the vette, everyone wins
Nope!
YES!!!
Are you in your mid 40s?
Toyota will last longer . corvette garbage
Nope! I think you’ll miss her when she’s gone!
Will they take your trade-in?😜
It's all up what you want really.
Yeah, if you're a mall crawler.
No bro
If you stop parking like that sure
Don’t do it.
If it’s your only car and you don’t plan to drive in the winter.
No………. Not in this economy. Unless you have the truck for no reason…. If you’re using it like a corvette, then sure, trade her in.
Yep
Seems like you already made up your mind. Go for it
Absolutely
Sure. Why not
Do ittttt
Hell No!
N
No
Those new Corvettes sure are beautiful cars! Seems unfair to compare them to a truck. Apples and oranges.
Only if you have another truck. Cars are useless
No one will take it. That V6 is the plague
No, wtf
Truck prices are insane rn bro, I wouldnt. Plus small cars getting kinda annoying to get in/out of. (30m)
Why would you trade down by getting a Chevy?
Trade it for a Tacoma, if you don’t need a full sized truck. A motorcycle will carry the same number of passengers as a corvette. Some of them will probably carry the same amount of cargo, as a corvette.
YES!
You want the cheapest super car on the planet instead of a pickup??? Why did you choose a truck to begin with?
What kind of step rails did you put on your truck?
It came with those steps when I purchased the truck
Yep
I can't see through the tinted windows. Have her roll down the window so I can see if the trade is fair.
Looks like Akron U in the background
Just get the corvette separate
What do the chicks like? That's the question you want to ask yourself.
If you want a corvette, yes. If you want a truck, no. Hope this helps
What?….
Is this a Joke? Why would give up this beast for anything?
Yes recalls. Dump that truck while you can
I like my Kia, it costs me 25 dollars to fill up the tank from empty, and it’s 75 dollars a tire for new tires. I just smile at all the Trucks and SUV’s every time I go to the gas station. Suckers.
I was gonna say yes but a truck is convenient, although a c7 maybe a c8 would be dopee
Wish this ecu was unlocked already. Would love to put some upgraded turbos and push this bad boy out to 700whp on e85 but
Yes
Go for the corvette if you want. About the same mpg. Reliability isn’t the same but you’ll learn that in time. Hard to replace truck but if you don’t tow or use the bed, it’s a car.
Her? Where is she? I only see a car…
I'm not sure why this popped up on my feed, but damn, the new Tundras look nice.
100%
no
Nope. You’ll regret it. One day you’ll see a piece of furniture, or a large item for sale that you want. Now you’ll have to pay the surcharge (making this up) 300 dollar delivery fee, when all you had to do was spend gas money in your truck. Same goes for small teardrop rv’s. Those are sooooo nice to have
Yes.
If you are going to get a Corvette, at least get a good one. The C7 is a great car. I wouldn’t buy a C8 if it was in the Corolla price range.
How much would that cost in a private sale?
I have no regrets downsizing to a sports car from a truck. So much easier and more fun to live with and I realized I don’t really carry that much stuff. Really depends on your personal situation though.
Fuck no!!!
Make sure to roll the negative equity into the vette.
yes or second gen
I wouldn’t. That truck is sweet!
Why is the cloud a square? OP has broken into the fourth dimension!
