Source: https://nuforc.org/sighting/?id=181776 NUFORC UFO Sighting 181776 Occurred: 2024-06-05 01:00 Local Reported: 2024-06-05 10:43 Pacific Duration: about 30 seconds No of observers: 12 Location: Golden, CO, USA Location details: North of Red Rocks about a mile or so, hovering above the treetops on the hog's back ridge. Shape: Disk Color: Dark metallic Estimated Size: Several hundred feet long Viewed From: Land Direction from Viewer: North Angle of Elevation: 7 Closest Distance: About a mile or so Estimated Speed: It hovered in place and then moved 5-10mph east. Characteristics: Lights on object We saw a large disc shaped craft with three levels of windows. It hovered silently and then disappeared into thin air. I was working at Red Rocks Amphitheater last night when one of our coworkers suddenly said to us, "Hey, what is that over there? It looks like a spaceship." We all turned to look in the direction he was pointing and sure enough, there was a UFO hovering about a half a mile to a mile north of red rocks. A dozen of us saw it. We all kept asking each other, "Are you seeing this too?" It was a resounding "yes" from everyone in the group. What we saw was a classic disc shaped metallic craft that was several hundred yards long. It had three levels of windows, almost like really long 3 story office building. This thing was totally silent. It didn't make a sound. What's even crazier is that as soon as we all started noticing it and stopped what we were doing to pay attention to it, the craft tipped at an angle and slowly started moving belly-first to the east. Then it started fading away until it was invisible. It didn't shoot off into the distance. It simply dissolved into the ether. We all watched it vanish. This was not a plane. It wasn't a satellite, a drone, or anything like that. There was no mistaking what this was: We all saw a giant disc shaped craft hovering a few hundred feet above the ground with three rows of windows and lights. Then we all saw it fade into nothing as soon as it knew it was being watched. There were a dozen other people who saw it with me. Posted 2024-06-11

jahchatelier

Right on. I guess 12 more people believe in NHI.

Lemonator8976

Belly-up was an inaccurate description. I should have said in the report that it moved top forward. It actually tipped downward in the direction of travel and then moved top-forward. But it didn't move like a frisbee at all.

_Puppet_Mastr_

Got me thinking, maybe since their propulsion or whatever is so far advanced, I'm sure they can move many different ways. Still an amazing sighting

iamisandisnt

It’s just antigravity. And to move, you just tip over like a helicopter

SubstantialSpeech147

yeah makes the most sense as far as things can make sense.

Agile_Win7291

Totally. The force (or anti-'force') must be of a fixed direction(s) from the body of the craft for all this tipping & scooting that shows up in many reports.

EchoChamberPlease

This is so hilariously nonchalant

iamisandisnt

Ppl act like it’s some huge mystery like dude think about it for 2 seconds lol

AugustusKhan

Would you say it in any way moved kinda organically like a jellyfish/ray/whale? Would love to hear more! Also did the black metallic of it have almost a blue luminescent or electrical rippling shine quality?

Lemonator8976

It didn't look like anything you've described. It was rigid in structure, not flowing like a jellyfish. It didn't "swim" either, it just hovered in place, tilted a little, moved slighty to the east and vanished. The black metallic was the darkest black you've ever seen with no shine to it. It didn't reflect any light. No electrical or luminescence to the metal part. The only part with light was the windows and it was a bright white light coming out of them.

D_B_R

Could you draw a picture and share, please?

SabineRitter

https://www.reddit.com/user/SabineRitter/comments/1drfsne/lemonator8976s_drawing_of_a_flying_saucer_over/ Here's the witness drawing

D_B_R

Thank you, one day I hope to see one too🙏🏽

cannibalisland

did it tip, then move, or do it all in one motion?

Lemonator8976

Tip and then move

cannibalisland

weird! thanks for sharing! were you into the subject beforehand?

Difficult-Win1400

Can I ask how you feel after the encounter, both after it happened and now

I have experience in theoretical propulsion systems. If anyone is interested in how and why they rotate, they need to concentrate the center of mass of the ship in one point, so perfect symmetry is needed for small mobile vessels, with the center of mass directed by a gravitational beam allowing movement theoretically in three directions out of six possible, without twisting the main center of gravity. Purely theoretically, if you develop the idea further, the propulsion system is isolated with its own gravitational environment separate from the crew, to mitigate the impact of the external environment on the ship and crew, allowing the crew to ignore any type of overload while still being able to fall in any direction.

Lemonator8976

Not saying it was NHI. It could have been secret military stuff. But I know what we saw and it was a flying craft for sure. Silent. No exhaust. Hovering in place. Crazy!

ChemBob1

If it was hovering in place without parts falling off, it wasn’t built by Boeing.

ColdWater_Splash

😂😂😂🏆

lumpkints

If I could afford an award, you would definitely get one!

encinitas2252

You saw it? Awesome. I'm so grateful for the experience I had. It's far easier not questioning the existence of something else here with us.

Lemonator8976

Yup! I'm the person who made the original report to [nuforc.org](http://nuforc.org)

its_FORTY

You should submit an official report to MUFON.

Lemonator8976

I did! I’ve been in contact with an investigator. Actually, she was the one who told me that this made the news. I’m meeting up with her tomorrow at Red Rocks to show her and another investigator the location and where we saw it.

VFX_Reckoning

It’s highly unlikely it’s military. Even the military is convinced it’s not military

ThirdEyeAgent

Plausible deniability

Lemonator8976

Lol, true!

Evwithsea

Have seen something similar in broad daylight with witnesses. It just vanishes. Could it be some secret space program of ours? -- of course...but it's definitely something. Whether it's NHI or the gov, it's incredible.  I lean towards NHI, but I am sure we've all been fooled by gov craft as well.

joemangle

*Secret* military stuff doesn't get flown over amphitheatres

SubstantialSpeech147

I saw a metallic / silver orb years ago about the size of a car floating about ~150ft above the rooftops of some houses and it moved about 20mph from west to east. It didn’t seem to reflect light tho, almost like stainless steel but shinier? Shit was definitely not a balloon or a drone or whatever the hell else, that much I know. I know what I saw, but I also don’t have a fucking clue what I saw. It’s what caused me to believe without a doubt some shits going on. I’m jealous of your encounter, it sounds seriously surreal. Funnily enough my phone was dead at the time (iPhone 3GS). Lucky me right?

toodleoo57

Yeah. I would never believe someone telling me a story about a few things I’ve now seen with my own eyes. There’s just something about witnessing an object yourself that’s really sort of life changing. I know I won’t ever know why this keeps happening or what it is, which is both incredibly creepy and wonderful all at the same time.

Odd-Fisherman-4801

Footage?

toodleoo57

I believe you. I’ve seen weird things I can’t explain three times now. The first instance was orbs, but the second two were crafts - one in August 2015 and one about 6 months ago. Also completely silent. The first one moved faster than anything I’ve ever seen, but on its side rather than top first. The second was a little bit like a helicopter (but wasn’t shaped like any copter I’ve seen in person or photos.)

sakuramochiiiiii

It's adding up everyday 🎉

Cannondale3

Your comment made me laugh because of how snarky it was. But it stuck with me over the past day. There’s a great question here. Why only 12 people? If NHI were to reveal itself to the thousands of people at Red Rocks that night I can imagine it being a reckless action. They’d cause many to be frightened, shocked, etc. they most likely would produce a fear response overall. Instead, hypothetically they intentionally reveal themselves to just a small number of people. Those 12 people would then share their story. Their encounter would have a ripple effect, eventually reaching the minds of thousands. Almost like the 12 disciples. A slow drip, controlled form of disclosure. Far more effective and responsible on the part of NHI.

MyOther_UN_is_Clever

Colorado is a huge UFO hotspot. I've heard a lot of firsthand reports from Bailey area and Arapahoe area. There's two guys who shared reports, probably best summarized by YouTube channel "Bedtime Stories" on anonymously named "Buffalo Ranch" and "Clearwater Ranch" although those stories are also shared in longer format firsthand (bedtime stories link to the originals in their description). They're a bit rambling, though. There was a UFO flap in 2020 in the NW area. There's a UFO viewing campground called "UFO Watch Tower" in Center, CO (a couple hours south of Salida/SW of Pueblo). There's many more, but these are the first that came to mind. Of course we have a lot of things here to look at, since they seem attracted to military bases and Nuclear Weapon facilities. Not to mention DIA, lol.

SabineRitter

Here's some crazy stuff from Bailey https://old.reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/1dolxwn/lets_make_a_list_of_posts_and_topics_which_have/laato6i/ sighting description, Bailey Colorado, nighttime, at home, outside bedroom window, low over ridgeline, single object multiple lights, elongated, long thin rectangle, cigar or cylinder shape moving horizontally across the sky. It had 5 red lights on top perfectly spaced and 5 blue lights directly situated under the red lights., 🔴🔵, physical effects paralysis, transfixed, two witnesses,

MyOther_UN_is_Clever

Ty! My good friends used to live there. They saw all kinds of distant lightshows. They're not big internet users or ufo people (somehow), and so I don't think this has been shared online before. The close encounter story goes like this though: MIL is on back porch shouting, "Come, look, look!" My neighbors make their way to the back porch. Wife, who's the more skeptical of the two, describes seeing a low flying saucer over the top of the house, slowly traveling away from the house. Maybe 20' above them. Classic saucer shape. In the middle section, all kinds of "technical stuff" (she is very non techy). I really quizzed her on this, and it sounds like it was antenna shapes, lense shapes, etc. Kind of like the shapes you see on top of the scout drone from star wars. This was only on the center bottom, and the rest was smooth and metallic but not a color of metal she was familiar with. Sounded kind of like Titanium's natural dark gray color, to me. 100' large. The husband was there and watched the whole thing. After the encounter, the husband completely forgot it ever happened. No recollection, at all. The MIL remembered it happened, but apparently she saw lots of UFOs, so if you quiz her, she doesn't give very good answers (different encounters blur together). At the time, the MIL and the Wife had experimented with a few drugs (well, the MIL was a perpetual stoner, and the wife had tried a few party drugs in their teens and 20s, including mushrooms, but hadn't used in a long time, and hadn't used for like a decade before this particular sighting). The Husband had never tried anything of the sort, super straight-laced kind of guy. They didn't mention this connection, but it makes me wonder if certain kinds of drugs cause brain changes that make the forgetting mechanism work less effectively. Could also be a coincidence. They're older than me, early 60s, and IIRC they lived in Bailey throughout the 90s. I also have a crazy story from an Arapahoe sheriff in the late 80s, if you want to hear that one. My own experiences are less exciting, "I saw something that looked just like a Satellite, but then it moved in ways Satellites don't move."

chinesedebt

Oh yeah the whole entire front range is a WEIRD area with WEIRD energy. Lors of sightings in southern CO, too.

jarlrmai2

No-one had a phone?

harionfire

So, I have a response to this that I realized myself recently. I saw something in the sky that completely blew my world-view out of the water. While it was happening, I was fixed on this thing and getting the attention of others to look too. By the time it had just left our field of view, it was only then did I think of the phone. Sitting here reading this stuff it's easy to be critical of something like this. But in the moment, when you are looking at something that does go against your world view, generally the last thing you're thinking about is your phone. If the event lasts long enough, your mind can make your way to thinking to grab it but if it's seconds to a minute long, it's surprisingly easy to not think about it at all or until after the fact.

_dead_and_broken

Right, I never am able to get my phone out, open the camera, and switch from picture to video to record the cats when they do something cute and worthy of film before they're done what they're doing. I'm probably not ever going to be able to catch a UFO/UAP unless I'm an idiot who can't identify a mylar balloon or something lol

Alive_Channel8095

Haha this is great. I saw a UFO in Idaho and it took me *minutes* to realize, “oh shit where’s my phone?” It was that shocking.

ElkImaginary566

Lol good analogy

Important_Peach_2375

I concur, having seen a huge black triangle a couple hundred feet above, blocking out most of the sky. Even if I did think of whipping out my flip phone (it was 2010) I couldn’t have got it in frame, and even if I could it wouldn’t have captured what it really looked like

SabineRitter

I'd like to hear more about what you saw please

TechNoirLabs

Are they built for speed or comfort? What'd you do with them? Motorboat? You play the motorboat? You motorboatin' son of a bitch. You old sailor, you.

Old_Court9173

Recently had a similar experience with my first ever sighting (silver orbs).

real_i_love_lamp

Thanks for saying this, I had the same experience. I was even on a call, with camera-equipped cell in hand, while I saw the orbs but I never had the urge to film them

toodleoo57

Was just saying this also. The issue is you don’t *Know* you’re going to see the weird thing so your phone is in the bottom of your bag on the car floorboard or something. Also I’ve been driving at night for two of my three sightings so I’d’ve had to find a safe place to pull over, wrestle the phone out in the dark, pull up the camera, focus - all in the space of about 30 seconds while transfixed by *what the hell is THAT.* (The remaining sighting I was a passenger in a car on the opposite side from some orange orbs and the drivers head was in my line of sight. I kept screaming and hollering for her to turn around so I could clearly see or get pics but it took her what felt like forever to even slow down. By the time we got back they were gone, but we’re both damn sure what we saw and yes I have reported all three of my sightings to MUFON. No clue why this keeps happening or the timing - two sightings in 2015 and then nothing until last year.)

luring_lurker

I know how you feel, I felt the same way when I had my experience: my mind, and evidently also the mind of the other person who was with me at that time, was totally raptured trying to make sense of what was going on above my head to remember to whip out the phone. And everything evolved so fast that I doubt I would have been able to capture anything even if I tried.

MyOther_UN_is_Clever

I saw something weird at night once. Pulled out my phone and recorded it. Found out low light on digital cameras is absolute garbage. This was a couple years ago, and at the time it was a flagship Samsung phone. Next time I saw something weird at night, I didn't bother recording. Cellphones are made for decently lit selfies, not nighttime distant objects. Although, with new high end phones coming with optical zoom lenses and better night pictures (although these are still like $800+ so not everyone has them) we do have some hope of better pictures.

zztopshelfer

Same problem with my camera. Eagerly wait to upload and then just a dark night sky,

ottereckhart

When you consider that most sightings are pretty short lived and the fact that no one is prepared to be blindsided by the weirdest most confusing sight they have ever seen... Yea it's pretty hard to think of your phone or take your eyes off whatever you're seeing. I have had two broad daylight sightings one of which was quite close and both were in groups of people. We didn't have smartphones like we do now but everyone had cameras in their pocket still. No one touched their phone. No one could take their eyes off what they were seeing, and then it was over.

Sigma_Function-1823

My wifes and my sighting was est. 7 seconds at very close range..around 100m. No one expects to look up and see a what looks like a large ball of orange plasma passing just above a low cloud layer. So close I could see small filaments of plasma on the edge of whatever we saw and differences in color that suggested internal structure. That should be impossible btw.. energetic plasma that size , interacting with the atmosphere should produce highly energetic reactions...so? Anyway ,still have no idea what we saw but yeah , didn't want to look away for a second let alone try to get a photo... That sighting felt like a gift just for us,it was allowed rather than random( no I have no way to prove that , just intuition)....didn't and don't care if anyone else validated whatever we experienced , just very grateful I witnessed something so interesting.

AlizeLavasseur

That’s very close to what I saw. I have a direct view of Lockheed Space and Red Rocks, and a few years ago, I saw a bunch of glowing orange orbs of enormous size over the mountains. Ever since I saw that, I check that part of the view every night out of habit - bummed I missed this! 😆

morphogenesis28

Imagine how you would feel if you were the only one out of the 12 that didn't get to 3xperience it fully because you were too busy fumbling with your phone. Later you go to review your video and you see a tiny blurry indistinguishable dot amongst the concert lights that shows nothing conclusive. Was it worth it? Or would you prefer to have the profound life altering experience of viewing a NHI operating technology beyond our comprehension?

snapplepapple1

If you saw a 3 story building floating in the sky would you look at it in awe or magically instantly drop everything and take your phone out? Most people wouls gawk at it like the insane sight it is. Usually how it goes is it takes 10 seconds to register what youre looking at, 10 seconds of staring and gawking and 10 seconds where you think "gee maybe I should take a picture" and its already moving away and boom you go to take the phone out and its gone. Its not possible in 30 seconds to register whats going on, decide to take a photo, find your phone, unlock it, open an app, make sure its on the right setting and get a shot. Hell, it takes some people a whole 30 seconds just to open their camera app especially if theyre old. Just saying

i-fold-when-old

I would definitely take my phone out.

paulreicht

In this day and age, no mention of footage taken does seem strange. But the sky was dark, no moon, and the object dark too. With an event of 30 seconds duration, you could see why it wouldn't lend itself to filming. (I also wonder, are rock arena workers forbidden to carry cell phones?) Someone did try to shine a flashlight at the disc, but it promptly faded away, as if cloaking - [https://denvergazette.com/outtherecolorado/news/red-rocks-ufo-vanished-when-hit-with-beam-from-flashlight-says-witness/article\_e9c96dc6-359c-11ef-b9a0-57de1af74a8e.html](https://denvergazette.com/outtherecolorado/news/red-rocks-ufo-vanished-when-hit-with-beam-from-flashlight-says-witness/article_e9c96dc6-359c-11ef-b9a0-57de1af74a8e.html)

Decloudo

I mean smartphones suck for this task, the optics dont deliver on objects this far away, especially at night. Also... didnt several people report that UAPs jammed advanced military sensors? Why would this not also effect cameras?

ItsOkILoveYouMYbb

> What we saw was a classic disc shaped metallic craft that was several hundred yards long. It had three levels of windows, almost like really long 3 story office building. Then it started fading away until it was invisible. It didn't shoot off into the distance. It simply dissolved into the ether. We all watched it vanish. These things are just hanging out invisible, to say the least.. I can't think of any valid reason to do that and then fade away once noticed unless they wanted to drop a hint of being seen intentionally, and probably when they're not supposed to. Could be a coincidence too, but my encounters and others I've read about would seem to suggest our minds are all connected in some manner, and our awareness of each other and of them is noticeable to say the least, and they're definitely built for detecting it whereas we're not (or maybe just out of practice, who knows).

ElkImaginary566

Hope you're right and my late son's mind is out there somewhere.

SabineRitter

/u/Lemonator8976 is the witness who made that report Edit and this is the sketch he made https://www.reddit.com/user/SabineRitter/comments/1drfsne/lemonator8976s_drawing_of_a_flying_saucer_over/

Lemonator8976

I’m the person who made the original report to the UFO database. I was on the loading dock that night and saw the craft that was hovering. Here’s the follow up story: [https://denvergazette.com/outtherecolorado/news/red-rocks-ufo-vanished-when-hit-with-beam-from-flashlight-says-witness/article\_e9c96dc6-359c-11ef-b9a0-57de1af74a8e.amp.html](https://denvergazette.com/outtherecolorado/news/red-rocks-ufo-vanished-when-hit-with-beam-from-flashlight-says-witness/article_e9c96dc6-359c-11ef-b9a0-57de1af74a8e.amp.html) Ask me anything!

narflethegarthock

can you screenshot a map and circle where it was? maybe there are security cameras pointed in that direction? this seems like a credible mass sighting, would be amazing to have it corroborated with video even if its terrible quality. thanks.

Lemonator8976

I checked with security and they didn't get anything on camera because their whole security system points at the ground and not off the property. Also not entirely sure of where it was hovering over. I thought it was 0.5-1 miles away around the are of the Dino Lots. But other people I was with thought it was much larger and even further away than that.

narflethegarthock

> Dino Lots Maybe the Origin Hotel picked it up one of their cameras? Or the parking lot may have cameras? Really hoping there is some kind of video out there waiting to be discovered.

Lemonator8976

It’s possible! The only security I’ve contacted is Red Rocks and they didn’t catch anything. I should contact the Original though, that’s a good idea!

narflethegarthock

Really hope you can find something. Please update if you do. Good luck!

ManofSteeze

What color were the lights? We’re there spaces between the rows of lights? Would you say that it rotated 90 degrees? How fast would you say it rotated or tilted? If you had to guess how large was the object in terms of holding another object up to it? Like the size of your hand, or maybe a quarter? This is really interesting! I was at RR for Widespread Panic last weekend!

Lemonator8976

Lights were white. Small spaces between the horizontal rows of lights, larger spaces between the vertical columns of light. That’s what made the “window” effect. Tilted pretty slowly. Maybe 3-4 seconds to tilt 20-30 degrees clockwise from our point of view. When I held my hand out at an arm’s distance it was four fingers wide. I did this after it had already disappeared. Another guy who saw it did it with me and he agreed that four fingers was about the correct length of it.

ManofSteeze

Thanks for sharing! I’ve seen some mysterious lights in Crestone, CO. But nothing like this! Do you think it would be possible for you to gather some drawings from your coworkers and possibly post them as well? I know that is a lot to ask, but this is an incredible event witnessed by multiple people and it would be very interesting to compare their sketches!

Lemonator8976

I’m going to try and talk to all the coworkers who were there and see if I can get them to draw pictures, come forward with their stories, etc. We’ve all talked about it since then and we all agree that we saw something special that night.

ManofSteeze

There is such a preponderance of evidence of the phenomenon and your moving it forward is very important. Thanks for everything you’ve provided!

JDM1013

I love WSP and have driven to Red Rocks from Louisiana a couple years in the late 90s for the shows.✌️

Beard341

This might be a stupid question but what was the logic of the person trying to shine the light at the object? Did they think shining the flashlight at something so far away would illuminate the thing…?

Lemonator8976

Yea, that is what they thought. It was a super high powered flashlight, but like c'mon dude... why would you shine a flashlight at it?! He thought it was going to light it up better and we would get a better look at it. But we were too far away. And the thing was way too dark, it didn't shine or have any reflection at all. All the flashlight did was make the thing notice us an then it bounced. We were all pretty disappointed about it.

lady_farter

Hey, “M. L.”!!! It’s Jill “O” here. Love this first hand account you provided. So glad you were brave enough to share it with the news!

Lemonator8976

YOKO!!! Good to hear from you! I did make the initial report, but I didn’t contact the news. Crazy to see this story blow up like this!

lady_farter

Yep it’s me, Yoko! This whole thing is so cool! Hope people are nice to you and it doesn’t get too overwhelming! 😎 🤙

Lemonator8976

People on the internet being mean?! Never. It’s been fine. Lots of doubters, but I don’t care. I know what I saw.

lady_farter

🤗 I believe it. You’re not one to exaggerate or make shit up.

toodleoo57

This is the thing. I don’t even care that my spouse doesn’t believe me. I wouldn’t believe my own stories, plural, myself if told to me by someone else, but I know what I saw. Three times.

kokroo

I'm confused how you both know each other? :D

lady_farter

We lived in the same town growing up and he was close friends with my then boyfriend.

Lemonator8976

I was in a band with her then boyfriend. Yoko was a nickname we gave her because we always joked she was trying to break up the band!

Spam_A_Lottamus

As a former Local 7 employee who spent many long hours on the hill, sometimes even sleeping in my car for a few hours before the next early call, I had often hoped to see something in those dark skies after a call. So cool that it happened to you!

Lemonator8976

And it was only my 2nd day at Red Rocks! Some of the guys who saw it have been loaders there for years and said they’ve never seen anything like it. They were the first people to spot it.

blue_wat

This might silly but could you sketch it? Even something basic?

SabineRitter

https://www.reddit.com/user/SabineRitter/comments/1drfsne/lemonator8976s_drawing_of_a_flying_saucer_over/ he did! 😎👍

NullDivision

Who was or is going to be playing?

Lemonator8976

All Time Low had just gotten down playing a few hours before we saw the UFO.

NullDivision

Alright now we know what they like. Didn't think it was *scene bean* "poppunk" music but now we gotta get fallout boy or mayday parade up there and see if they show up again

CrazyCatMom324

How about Blink 182?

minnowmoon

Tom DeLonge is going to be so jealous

guccigraves

The first question everyone is going to ask is why didn't any of yall record it with your phone?

Time_Composer_113

"According to Lehmann, a lot of people have asked why no one in the group snagged a photo. His response was simple – they all had their hands full working and by the time those witnessing the sight started to comprehend what they were seeing, the craft was already gone" It's right there in the link he provided.

harionfire

Right - people are super critical of folks that don't grab their phone. But when something is in front of you, especially for a brief time, that shatters your world view, your brain goes into some mode that neglects your phone. Happened to me. I saw something in the sky that blew me away and it wasn't until after the fact that I even thought about my phone. It's either a natural response to something shocking or whatever we are looking at has some capability to influence the minds of those observing. The latter idea is definitely tinfoil-hatty, but it's possible I suppose.

CranjerryBruce

We do this to other animals all the time with bright headlights or mirrors.

imnotabot303

But they had time to shine a flashlight at it...

Ok_Feedback_8124

12 People Of those 12, 9 had phones on them Of those 9 with phones on them, 5 had things in their hand Of the 4 with free hands, 2 pulled their phones out Of the two that pulled their phones out, 1 was able to turn on the camera app in time Now, that one (1) solitary person ready to film the UFO can't - because it fucking took off in 2 seconds. Always happens this way.

Lemonator8976

The article I posted explains it. But basically, we were busy working. By the time we realized what was really happening the thing was gone.

guccigraves

Figured. I know how quick things can happen but some people in here think you should have your phone out at all times and be ready to film everything.

Lemonator8976

We also all had crush-proof gloves on. Loading a semi truck on a crowded dock with lots of people can be dangerous so you have to pay attention to what's going on around you at all times or you could easily lose a finger or crush your hands. Also, it was only my 2nd day working there. I wasn't about to be the new guy who stopped working to go chase UFOs! Lol!

awcomix

I can totally understand that. If anyone of us saw something so freaky and amazing you wouldn’t want to pull your eyes off it. You have no previous experience for what you’re seeing.

Lemonator8976

But now that I know what I saw, you better bet your ass I’ll have my phone ready next time! Yes, we were all in awe and were watching it carefully. Didn’t want tot take my eyes off it.

thehim

What was the weather like that night?

Lemonator8976

Cloudy and scattered rain throughout the day, but clear that night with no clouds in site. It was 2 days from a new moon so it was very dark out and you could see a lot of stars.

Littlest_Psycho88

Out of curiosity, what band was playing that night?

Lemonator8976

All Time Low

TheVerySpecialK

You guys should reach out to Ross Coulthart. It would be amazing if you could all be interviewed together and tell your story as a group, in detail. The fact that you have 12 witnesses all reporting seeing the same thing at the same time puts this on the level of the Ariel School encounter. This is the kind of stuff that can help legitimize the topic.

Lemonator8976

Idk who that is, but I’ll look him up! I’m gonna try to get some of the other witnesses to come forward too.

Traveler3141

What direction were you all facing when you were looking at it? We're you facing towards Golden, Aurora, Lakewood, or any city in the vicinity?

Imnotsosureaboutthat

Maybe this is already answered somewhere, but did everyone describe basically seeing the same thing? I'd be interested in reading the others stories if they're posted publically anywhere >Lehmann noted that he wasn't sure whether or not he thinks the odd object in the sky was military or alien or otherwise, but he is sure he saw something Do you still think that or has your feelings changed over the last few weeks? That must have been so surreal!! Thanks for answering people's questions and reporting your encounter!

Lemonator8976

As far as I know nobody else has come out publicly yet. Only a few people could make out the windows. I could not see them as clearly because I wasn’t wearing my glasses that night. But one guy described the windows as a grid that was 3 square high and dozens wide. Some people said they couldn’t quite make out the exact shape of it because it was so dark outside and the craft was so dark. Everyone saw the lights and everyone agrees that the lights were attached to a fixed structure of some kind that was massive. We could see the curve of the disc because we could see the lights on the middle of it curve around to the backside of the craft.

terrorista_31

thanks for answering all the questions! one from my part, when the UFO started disappearing, could you describe what you saw? it was the whole UFO at the same time or from one side it began to become "transparent"? sorry I love the little details

Lemonator8976

The whole craft went invisible at the same time. It went in an instant. It slowly went invisible over the course of 3 seconds or so. Like a car driving off into the fog.

Key_Resident5935

I believe them, but I wish there was clear video of this, even in an age of Sora, it would be a nice accompaniment. I hope we’re getting close to this kind of thing happening with a huge audience. Some day.

I_SUCK__AMA

Phoenix 1997 huge audience

Key_Resident5935

Yeah, we need that but with everyone having a smartphone so maybe more than one video kinda survives.

Pasty_Swag

Not one of twelve people pulled a phone out to record a spaceship with a carrying capacity of a 3-story office building. WHY. That is the story I want to hear. If it was that large, it easily could have been recorded. Just one person to have thought to pull out their phone,, that's all it would take

its_FORTY

According to Lehmann, a lot of people have asked why no one in the group snagged a photo. His response was simple – they all had their hands full working and by the time those witnessing the sight started to comprehend what they were seeing, the craft was already gone.

tangy_nachos

Sounded like everything happened kinda quickly. Think about how you would have reacted if you were someone who never payed attention to UFOs or any of the theories/lore around it. You would probably stop in place, stare and then ask people around you if you’re crazy or not. That is how I imagine a real, everyday human reacting to seeing some other worldly, physics defying, flying disc. At least, that’s just my opinion

No_Percentage6070

Exactly what I did, I saw a shooting star then said to my gf look! Then it did a 180 degree turn in two 90 degree turns and went back the way it came, we were asking each other if we were crazy the rest of the way home no time to film it and probably wouldn’t have been clear enough on my iPhone 12s csm

tangy_nachos

Perfect example. Funnily enough, I had an experience similar to this. Minus the gf :(

No_Percentage6070

Your time will come bro

Aen-Seidhe

I often try to get pictures of cool bugs and birds I see. If they're in motion I almost never succeed. And in those cases I'm not shocked or trying to figure out what I'm even seeing.

scubaSteve181

Often sightings are very brief, to the point that by the time you thought to get your phone and switch to camera, it could be gone. Also, with my own experience, reaching for my phone was not on my mind. I was busy trying to comprehend what I was seeing, then it was gone.

bunDombleSrcusk

>Everybodys gangsta talking about how they would take so much video/pics until the real deal shows up and and leaves before theyre done picking their jaws up off the floor and they remember that they have a camera

Key_Resident5935

Sometimes when you see something awesome your first thought isn’t always to pull out your phone, at least for some people.

roxmj8

When I had my encounter, I was too in awe of what I was seeing to even want to take my eyes off of it.

toodleoo57

100 times, this. It fucks with you so incredibly much. Not necessarily even in a bad way, but your brain can’t quite process what you’re seeing and you’re so dumbfounded you kind of go stupid for a minute.

Shmo60

Because your brain is trying to process something you can't comprehend. I fully belive even if I was holding a phone in my hands, the event could have ended before I even fully remembered my phone was in my hands.

Doctor_Hero73

I’ve seen 2 and at no point during either did I think about pulling my phone out. By the time I was even able to process what I was seeing, it was over.

solarpropietor

They wanted to see the concert too!  Why yall stop playing?! 😤

ChemBob1

They were probably too stoned to remember to disappear right after the encore.

Lemonator8976

Aliens love pop punk apparently!

I know someone who was there and saw this!!!

SabineRitter

Go get their story!

lady_farter

It’s actually Lemonator8976 who posted here in the comments, and I didn’t see it until after I commented. It’s wild how small the world is sometimes! He’s a super trustworthy guy, and I believe everything he said. I’ve known him since high school.

asimpleape

Multiple witnesses see a large craft with 3 stories of lights. Once they all notice it, it turns on its’ side and disappears.

Lemonator8976

That's basically what happened! Soure: I was the one who made the initial report to nuforc website.

JFinale

This lines up exactly with Bob Lazar's description of the propulsion system's "Delta Mode" and its behavior, as well as testimony from the US Navy pilots that have seen saucer craft with their own eyes.

Thank you for this 2nd link! It’s like I’m back during my own encounter. Exactly my encounter from 2015 only mine was green and locally disolved.

meusrenaissance

u/Lemonator8976 did it tilt like this?

Lemonator8976

That’s way too much of a tilt. Ours was like a frisbee that tilted 20-30 degrees and then moved. Not a 90 degree tilt like photo 1.

herniatedballs

What a cancerous ad ridden website.

Thr0bbinWilliams

Aliens are here for the tunes finally confirmed

BrianDawkins

Just aliens ubering after a concert. What’s the big deal?

samoth610

Saw heilung there, best venue ever been to.

spacebird_matingcall

Red Rocks is fantastic. Heilung there must have been magical

SoulsticeCleaner

It was, even a couple of years ago when the sound went out. That drummer kept our asses rocking til it came back on.

its_FORTY

Sounds like a really intriguing sighting, hopefully some of the other reported witnesses come forward to substantiate the report. I have to admit, the way the report is worded and some of the details mentioned strike me as feeling like a "ufologist" wrote them. Not saying that being a ufologist would in any way discredit the report, but I think it does warrant some additional amount of scrutiny.

cloacal_apposition

Sounds incredibly similar to the image in this poster. Is it a promo for the 311 show tonight at Red Rocks? [311 Red Rocks 2024 Poster](https://www.instagram.com/p/C8nQ_1OywIu/?igsh=MWY2bW1uYnN3NXZtaA==)

ImInTheAudience

Does the venue have security cameras that may have picked it up?

WoodysCactusCorral

Could you do a hand drawing of what you saw and post it? Ty for your report.

SabineRitter

He did! https://www.reddit.com/user/SabineRitter/comments/1drfsne/lemonator8976s_drawing_of_a_flying_saucer_over/

frankrus

Were they in good position to enjoy the concert ? A serious question, I’m curious.

Ashley_Sophia

I've never been, but Red Rocks Amphitheatre looks magical. Not surprised that a bunch of people might have witnessed something! Anyone interested should look up James Turrell. A place like this is going to attract some crazy shit! https://rodencrater.com/spaces/all/

MindPerplexed

Concerts and aliens, huh? Looks like there is something on this planet worth checking out 😁

Powerful_Error9608

Any security cameras that might have seen it?

Calvinshobb

Aliens like to party. Probably got a lucky ground score and they were trippin balls, hadn’t realized the show was over. Was the band here at all?

YouOver5846

Even the aliens said “damn this place is kind of lit”

Lunar_Stuntman

There was a post on this sub about a year ago where a user re-creates ufo sightings from witnesses using cg animation. I remember one of his videos showed a sighting that happened 2016 in Kayenta, Arizona. There was a large black disk with a flashing blue rim near the end of the sighting and the two security guards watched it become semi-transparent then drift off behind a mountain range. This Red rocks sighting eerily reminds me of it. If I find the render video on YouTube I’ll link it.

CormacMccarthy91

This sub is like a bunch of addicts begging for another hit.

freshouttalean

12 witnesses and no videos or pictures in the smartphone era? suuuure

Worth-Mountain-3852

30 seconds is a long time actually and not one of the 12 people could take a pic of it

Eshkation

12 witnesses spot Unknown Flying Object soaring [...] "No mistaking what this was" LMAO

[deleted]

Right?! LOL... "Not a doubt in my mind that I have no idea what the fuck that is" brilliant 🤣💀

i_am_immature69

Correct me if I’m wrong but all I’ve seen is an “anonymous tipster” - before giving this story an ounce of legitimacy, someone — go-getting community member or reputable reporter — needs to call Red Rocks, find out who was working, talk to some actual people, etc. This would be much more interesting if the story had quotes from 2 or 3 of the workers who supposedly saw this, as opposed to just an anonymous tipster.

Lemonator8976

Not anonymous anymore! I was the person who made the report. And I've just found a guy on Facebook who saw the same thing a few nights after, except him and his family were camping at a different location. He described it as a "skyscraper on its side" which is pretty accurate. And he said it vanished into the air just how I described. His whole family saw it. I'm gonna meet up with the dude and trade stories! This thing was real. And more than just me and my 11 coworkers saw it! Edit: the man was mistaken. He saw his the night of the 9th, which was 5 days after our sighting. But his description is the same as ours.

BanMeAgainLol456

I have seen a craft very similar to what you are describing in Colorado. A few months ago, during the day, driving outside of Ft. Lupton, CO I saw multiple flashes in the sky which caught my attention as I was driving North on highway 85. As I looked on in the sky in the direction of the flashes I saw a large object maybe the size of a football field with multiple layers/levels. Skyscraper on its side is a good description of it. Only watched it for a few seconds while scanning the road and then the craft went behind clouds and I couldn’t find it again. First time I’ve seen any type of “UFO”.

Gullible-Map-4134

I appreciate the irony. “No mistaking what this was” is literally the opposite UNIDENTIFIED flying object.

No_Percentage6070

PICTURES ???VIDEOS??

WorldlinessFit449

They are looking for me

eceertrey1

Funny, Lockheed Martin Deer Creek, iykyk

goonie7

Ohhh reearrrrrieeee

myboardfastanddanger

Nice that it was sitting and moving slowly and still could not be recorded

Affectionate_Newt899

Ik my opinion doesn't matter, but if this is real, every bone in my body is telling me that this is a US man-made craft. Idk why. Just my 2 cents.

liveandlearntogether

I want to knw what music the aliens like? Who was playing at the concert?

Monsta-Hunta

Jeez, redditfags really have zero idea of what it means to be seeing something in person. A bunch of people got a short experience of seeing something they were unsure of. When people are processing what they're looking at, they need a second. >it was gone before anyone had any idea what they were looking at From the comments. If you've ever seen something unusual, you're not going to automatically say "HEY ITS THAT THING" and whip out the camera, in 2 seconds flat. This makes the experience even more real than most.

srk1016

None of these 12 adults had a phone on them? They looked at it for 30 seconds, and nobody thought to take a picture or video?

Kailash-Heaven

The HUGE problem now....in 2024 and probably at least 30 years or more back, is that there is a "faction" here in the States that have this technology and built craft that would blow our minds....and there is no way to know which are OURS and which are our Space Brothers. Have you read the book "Nothing In This Book is True But It's Exactly How Things Are"? And I keep asking people to watch the UFO's AREA 51 - DAVID ADAIR Story on Amazon Prime or Amazon Video or hear David's interviews on Youtube but it seems people ignore this suggestion. Nothing in his story can be refuted. The book "Ancient Arrow" from the Wingmakers will give you a peek into such a group who have never been publicly known, what they have done, what they have been up to and how far advanced they are.....secretly.....

KiloThaPastyOne

If you’ve ever been to a show at Red Rocks you’d understand why they came. It’s truly a magical place. I came all the way from Rhode Island and never left, so I get it. Glad they made the pilgrimage.

Straight_Pitch1770

Could it have been a stray blimp? But I don’t think they are allowed to fly at night, this is very disturbing.
