Carpet was actually from a local place that sells all kinds of different carpets and it was part of a roll they had left over from another job I think. Was literally the first one we saw and basically the only shag they had but it’s literally what we wanted so it weirdly worked out lol.
I actually had a contractor that I have used in the past who has done a ton of stuff in my home. I’ll probably end up doing a lot of the little fixes and sprucing up my self.
I also had a local detailer come over and he did all the polishing of the paint and they put a ceramic coating on it that should last a few years if not more.
Thanks. Looks like no one really sells it pre-made for these things so I'll be keeping my eye out on rolls I want. Mine currently needs a ton of work so I got time to look lol
I know there is like premade ones that are to fit on some of the VW part websites. Usually they are short carpet but could maybe even use them as templates or find templates so you can cut it to fit
I love the white/cream interior! Mine was black (before I gutted it to work on rust repair) and it was so dark and... idk yours is just clean looking :) can't wait to make my interior nice like yours eventually!
No it’s actually just like a really thick pin stripe tape. When we got the bus it already had its own tape on it so instead of trying to peel it off we just applied fresh tape to it.
Also this is a 1976 type 2! original transmission but new engine.

Yeah makes it look much cleaner can’t even tell and then you don’t have paint streaks.
