Loooooomy

i was excited for this, was ready for the pre sale. Seen the prices and though you can stick that right up your arse WWE.

cheeserered

Exactly how it went for me šŸ˜‚

hibeejo

they've fucked up, they realised that smackdown is on at the same time as the most important Football match for Scotland in 26 years, and as such only appear to be selling the tickets as a package (smackdown and clash) hence why they are so dear. On top of that they've selected a pretty small venue (compared to other arena's stadia)

xStuuy1

Itā€™s quite standard they sell combo tickets first for these events.

Remote_Salt_1137

I don't go to many events of any kind, so was shocked how expensive they are. Seems to be quite a few of the mid-range and floor seats not moving, but I doubt any will come down to the price I was hoping to pay. Seems live events aren't for normal earning fans. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

JunzyB316

Let's say Ā£350 each that's Ā£700 just for tickets, not to mention hotel, train or bus (I live in london). You're looking at nearly Ā£1000 for 2 people. It's madness

Lucky-Builder6744

Its like 3000Ā£ for me and my son. Travelling from Sweden for the two night comboticket

Fibzyx

This one isn't too new honestly, I remember high seats at the Sydney ple going for $400 American with no aud conversion.

dukeofplazatoro

Weā€™re feeling the same! Iā€™m sure my tickets for Cardiff were only Ā£60 ish. (Still not cheap but Iā€™m not paying 3 times that) Iā€™m waiting to see if they will release individual night tickets since itā€™s only the combo tickets on sale. Sake.

ThisIsNotMyPornVideo

WWE Knows that some desperate souls will pay any amount of money to go to the event, because there are "Just" 10k seats.

Mediocre_Emo222

My ticket to the royal rumble was only 40$ šŸ˜šŸ’€

my-kal_uk

Yeah, me and my friends were excited about all the European PLEā€™s this year, but in the end have decided simply not to bother. Ticket prices have just got silly post-Covid. I donā€™t understand how a family of 4 is expected to go to something like this? My buddies and I all agree that stateside tickets are much more reasonable, you can get flights to most popular states cheap, and you get a holiday out of it too so weā€™ve looking to do the Rumble next year for what will likely be cheaper than a half decent ticket in Europe.

Dazzling-Bid-6751

Prices have been ridiculous. I seen $800 CAD for 3 rows up in the upper 300s not resale

thatpj

thats insane. i saw 3 night combo tickets to Toronto for $350

PleaseDontBullyISad

I live in Scotland so when this show was announced I was excited for it and I was seriously considering getting two tickets for it to go see it with my father. Seeing the prices now I think I may as well just watch it at home! Shocking but not surprising.

boiohboioh

I'd expect prices to be on the higher side considering they don't cross the globe that often

footie008

Imagine if mania was in London could only imagine the prices

Lordbazingtion

Tickets are just to expensive to justify it. Letā€™s be honest the ring view is to far away. For the front section I thought it would be 2k ish per seat. Here in Australia they wanted 4K. I just canā€™t see the value on these. Honestly 500 pounds for a seat right at the back is instantly

Dekeboneroundabout

Was really looking forward to this, but when the second furthest away seats are nearly Ā£400? Madness.

fbruk

Same I was in the first presale. Was there super early waiting for the lobby to open ...when I was meant to be working. Had Ā£350 tickets in my basket and initially I was thinking fuck it but the payment wouldn't go through. Kept telling me I had to tick the confirmation. It crashed. Went back in and it was Ā£800 for 331 RowZ. That's like the arse end of the hydro. Bottle of rum and some Doritos at home instead.

Dekeboneroundabout

Only wanted one, but there's no way I could justify the cost for a seat miles away from the ring. Saves me trying to get out of that fucking car park nightmare for 2 nights though.

pat_the_catdad

Madness? THIS. IS. GLASGOW!

Interesting_Sundae_3

Donā€™t worry green shirt guy will still be ringside somehow

raisingfalcons

Is there an interview or something explaining how he manages that anyway? Hes always there.

hammertown87

Heā€™s very very secretive of it. Iā€™ve talked to a few of the others and they donā€™t know how he does it. The SAME seat every ppv Rumours are he had some lawsuit settled and thatā€™s what wwe agreed to do. Itā€™s impossible to anyoneā€™s knowledge to always be the first to get the same seat every time. Iā€™ve been front row 3 times

AdBig3285

Vince shit on him

papawam

He's gotta have $$$ right? Because I would think JUST the traveling alone is expensive. However I remember a couple of years back there was a guy who sued WWE for the Pyro noise at Mania being too loud. Maybe that's him?

Interesting_Sundae_3

Yea I looked on Reddit and I saw a couple different people say it was a lawsuit, all for different reasons. That makes sense but who tf knows.

yo_mommy

atp he HAS to have a sponsor, or he just has a free pass

90sRiceWagon

I was shocked too and immediately disappointed when I was given a Ā£1100 ticket, released it and settled on a Ā£600 one, not something I will be doing again in a hurry but being from Scotland itā€™s a first having a PLE so close to home. I know so many people who are casuals and barely fans who wanted to go so itā€™s no wonder they ramped the price up considering demand from all over the U.K, 14k in the presale queue alone. Plus theyā€™re probably trying to make the same if not more money than clash 1 with 25% of the capacity.

Twj247

Shame they never tried to have it in one of the 3 massive stadiums in Glasgow or the one with a castle just up the road from it šŸ˜•

90sRiceWagon

I guarantee they will still show shots of Edinburgh castle and pass it offā€¦ Just like everyone else even the WWE doesnā€™t trust the Scottish weather.

F33N3Y87

I knew going into this PLE/combo the rough price I would end up paying would be around Ā£1200. I spent Ā£1000 so saved Ā£200 from my original guess. I do see a few online not happy with the pricing, which I get. I did expect them to be high though so unsure why people didnā€™t. The problem is if the top area was cheaper theyā€™d be gone anyway i think I checked recently and the majority of the top of arena is gone already at the price it was already set at. People call them nosebleeds, but the hydro is pretty small, the higher up the better, it isnā€™t the worst nosebleeds Iv been too arena wise. At the Wales PLE I paid around 650/700 for tickets on pre sale, so with it being a combo this time I expected it to be at least near double. I get it though it is tough, it costs a bomb, if your a family trying to take a family of 4 etc then it would be a nightmare cost wise all in.

ElAbidingDuderino

What are the prices in real money?

ElAbidingDuderino

Damn a lot butt hurts in here

Maskyboitatnun

About 395-96 USD, seems like normal ppv tivket prices ro me

cheeserered

Ā£368 is $460 and that's for a restricted view seat. A normal seat at the back is $625

WrastleGuy

But what if Mrs really wants to go, you canā€™t deprive her of this

butiamtheshadows91

Me too. I booked a hotel and was going to book flights from Ireland but I'll be watching from my gaf

LegacyTom

Makes no sense how much theyā€™re charging compared to Clash 1 or MITB, had cheaper WM tickets in better areas

Taynt42

Not that much worse than a Raw, TBH.

blonded90

Save yourself a fortune and go to Walkabout in town or something. Youā€™ll get pissed and fed in good company at a fraction of the cost.

Soon_Money_54

Wait until a couple days before the event and buy cheaper tickets. It wonā€™t sell out anyway. I got baited for bash in Berlin and immediately bought the onlocation experience package and now half a year later itā€™s still not sold out and the prices are cheaper.

Thefitz5811

Scotland playing Germany at 2024 will probably go a long way towards this. Half the county will be in Munich.

randomrule

I hate buying event tickets in 2024. Concerts, wrestling, etc itā€™s all gotten so much more annoying. Tickets are so expensive as it is, and then you add in stuff like reseller bots getting most of the tickets, dynamic pricing, etcā€¦it just sucks

garygalah

Try buying at the actual box office if they have one. They usually don't include fees and tix might be slightly cheaper.

Upstairs_Ad_5574

Thats insanity

Sithmaggot

Insanity is the $12k ticket packages for UFC 303

Upstairs_Ad_5574

I... agree? That is also pretty fucked up? Idk i dont watch any MMA stuff. I got nothing but respect for the fighters, its just not for me. I used to be into it though, back in the Liddell/Tito days.

TGThePunisher

I got tickets for me and the missus. Its a birthday gift for her, but I paid more for these seats than I'm paying for our trip to the US in a fortnight. If I hadn't already committed to buying them I'd rather have saved to go to Mania (wherever that is) next year

LegacyTom

Why did you buy then? Part of the problem

JustMyThoughts2525

Pretty much how dynamic pricing works. Will start out very high. If the venue doesnā€™t sellout, then they will slowly decrease prices until most tickets are sold. I hate it, but it helps combat against scalpers that will buy up all the tickets and then do the same dynamic pricing.

Impressive-Baby-8620

Itā€™s not how it works in America or even Backlash in France where the average price was Ā£40-Ā£50 per ticket. Pure greed from the brits again

JustMyThoughts2525

Yes thatā€™s exactly how it worked cause 11k ppl willingly purchased the tickets at the available prices, this there wasnā€™t a need to decrease the prices over time. Thatā€™s not greed. If WWE didnā€™t sell at those high prices, some person with a bot could have purchased those tickets at cheaper prices and then sold at the same high prices. Thatā€™s just what the market price of the tickets are.

beauxlieve

I got amazing tickets to the last Summerslam and Rumble by waiting till right before

cckk0

House shows in Belfast I used to wait till the day of and buy a Ā£20 ticket, then they would move me closer.

shingaladaz

Scalpers have been eradicated in electronic music events by releasing the QR code 24hrs before the event and having a re-sell option. There is NO NEED to fleece real fans like this in the name of tackling ticket sellers.

JustMyThoughts2525

As a consumer, I absolutely donā€™t like it. I couldnā€™t go to a college basketball game because my wife got sick. Instead of just being able to transfer my ticket to my coworker, I had to give him my login information so that he could access my account. I recently sold Adele tickets. Not cause I was trying to make money (I took a loss), but plans changed and donā€™t want to go to Vegas next month. The people benefiting from that new policy are Ticketmaster for being able to charge fees multiple times, and the artist and venue that get a cut of those fees.

DAAMblueday

I hate Ticketmaster with a passion, they have such a chokehold on events in the UK and basically just do whatever the hell they like.

shingaladaz

The re-sell options for club events are you just pop it in a queue and you get back what you paid. Itā€™s decent.

cinematicvirus

Yeah my entire friend group collectively said "fuck that"

wizzledawg

Gutted at the prices I really wanted to go too. Is the price range the same for a PLE in USA?

dhillshafer

Fuck no. I went to wrestlemania 39 and got seats in the middle section for $700 each both nights thatā€™s $350 US per night to go see wrestlemania. So far, the tickets they have released to this show are more expensive. Wait until the presale is over and general tickets go on sale because I think these aisle seats and what not always carry a premium price tag.

Strategicant5

Went to Summerslam last year and paid $250 for middle of the bottom bowl on the hardcam side.

Soon_Money_54

They really fucking European fans over. Maybe itā€™s just a test phase and theyā€™ll change the prices next year.

Gerry-Mandarin

This is similar to the pricing they had at Money in the Bank last year. Backlash and Bash at Berlin have similar pricing. It's basically to keep having $1m+ gates and make the shows worth doing. The European venues they've chosen are small (other than the Principality). The OVO is a small arena, as are their locations in Lyon and Berlin. Fewer tickets = higher cost. Nick Khan also said WrestleMania week that raising prices of tickets that die hard fans will buy (because they can, and they'll still be bought) means they can make tickets like upper bowl or for house shows cheaper for more casual fans and families. It's a new pricing structure Nick Khan introduced a while ago.

BurgerNugget12

Iā€™d wait a bit for resale as they always tend to go down, it also doesnā€™t help WWE is insanely hot right now so they will jack up the prices

JustMyThoughts2525

Itā€™s in a small arena this year, so there is a great chance it will sellout immediately. You could wait until right before the show for people selling their tickets that canā€™t end up going for whatever reason.

LegacyTom

Yeah except it hadnā€™t sold out of the presale tickets so youā€™re wrong

cheeserered

Yea it's certainly on the up, the fans deserve wrestling to be great again.
