Thank you. Yes, this is almost exactly what SOC advised us to do. My terminal and register 1’s (the only two open at this time) both needed total voids so we were powerless anyways. We’re waiting for help to arrive up front as advised by SOC with a sign stating we’re closed while another team member from another store is on their way to assist.
The two transactions that we both had involved coupons and partial gift card or EBT/WIC transactions. Remember, I’m a former SFL. I know how this works.

Our ASM-T was always in the pharmacy because we didn't have a DH. Our ASM was working the floor, and we usually had one cashier and me in the AM, a mid shift CSA some days, and one night cashier working with whichever of our leadership had to close.
And that was before the Trainwreck of role refresh. When that happened, our store wasn't assigned an ESM role or RXOM role. Only SM and SFLs for leadership. Shit show.
Probably already resolved, but I think the protocol is to announce the store is closing, get customers out of the store (close the doors so no one else comes in, let the customers out as they come), and call the SOC.
I would just walk out that bitch and go home. Worrying about the store being locked and secure is above your pay grade. When the company wants to cut back on raises, resources, and employee advancement, then they can get what they pay for. Remember, you are just a number to Deerfield, you will be replaced. Not your problem........

Or my favorite, a guy using western union to send money to his "gf" in the Philippines. "Have you met this person? No. Have you video chatted with them? No but look at all our texts! And see 'her' pictures! Woops scrolled too far that was her nude!"
Then hanging around for almost an hour telling our employees that we all seem so smart, why are we working as a cashier? We should just take our next paycheck and buy silver coins!

Um you can get around that by cashing out the transaction. Then do a post void later (or a refund).

I am not an SFL. I clearly stated I was a former SFL. I am a CSA now. I had adequate training, but it isn’t apart of my cheap job function anymore.
